Warriors vs. Trail Blazers: How to watch, lineups, injury reports and broadcast for Tuesday

Before the Warriors host the Trail Blazers on Tuesday night, here’s everything you need to know about the game, including how to watch.

After back-to-back wins, the Golden State Warriors will have the chance to start their five-game homestand with a trio of wins. However, Damian Lillard will be in the way on Tuesday night at San Francisco’s Chase Center.

Coming off a ridiculous 71-point performance on Sunday against the Houston Rockets, Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers will come to Chase Center on Tuesday night.

On the way to matching Donovan Mitchell’s NBA season-high 71 points, Lillard drilled 13 triples to give the Trail Blazers a 131-114 win over the Rockets. Along with scoring 71 points on Sunday, Lillard already has a 60 and 50-point performances this season.

The Warriors will have to find a way to keep up with Lillard while Steph Curry (lower leg) and Andrew Wiggins (personal reasons) are ruled out for another game.

Before the Warriors welcome Lillard and the Blazers to Chase Center, here’s everything you need to know about Tuesday’s game, including how to watch.

Injury Report: Warriors’ Draymond Green (knee) questionable vs. Trail Blazers on Tuesday

The forward has missed Golden State’s last two games.

After missing two games due to a knee injury, Draymond Green was back on the practice floor for the Golden State Warriors on Monday afternoon. Following his knee flaring up on Sunday before the Warriors’ win over the Timberwolves, Steve Kerr said Green could require an MRI on his right knee.

On Monday, Kerr revealed Green’s MRI came back clear and he was able to practice. According to Kerr, Green is considered questionable for Tuesday’s home game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Via @CjHolme22 on Twitter:

During the 2022-23 season, Green is averaging 8.1 points on 51.7% shooting from the field with 7.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 31.5 minutes per contest.

On Tuesday against the Blazers, the Warriors could use Green on the floor to slow down Damian Lillard coming off an incredible 71-point performance on Sunday night against the Rockets.

If Green is unable to play, Kerr will likely lean on the same lineup from Golden State’s previous two games. Jonathan Kuminga and Donte DiVincenzo will join the starting lineup alongside Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole and Kevon Looney.

The Warriors will meet Lillard and the Blazers on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. PT in San Francisco.

NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors dropping tight loss to Trail Blazers, 125-122

Damian Lillard notched a triple-double with 33 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds on the way to handing the Warriors a tight loss, 125-122.

After a tight back-and-forth battle, the Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers were tied at 95 points after three quarters on Wednesday night’s contest.

Despite forcing six turnovers in the fourth quarter, the Warriors struggled to close down the stretch again against the Trail Blazers. After the Blazers took a three-point lead with 4:31 remaining in the contest, the Warriors’ offense went ice cold until there were only 48 seconds left in the game. Donte DiVincenzo and Klay Thompson hit late 3-pointers in the final seconds, but it was too late. Portland’s late run helped seal a 125-122 victory over Golden State.

Jordan Poole led the way with a game-high 38 points on 13-of-25 shooting from the field with 13-of-25 shooting from the field with seven made triples to go along with seven assists and a rebound in 35 minutes.

Before the Warriors host the Trail Blazers, here’s everything you need to know for Friday’s contest, including how to watch.

After three straight wins to start their homestand, the Golden State Warriors will have the chance to extend their winning ways at San Francisco’s Chase Center on Friday against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Warriors will not count on players like Poole, Kuminga and Jerome again on Friday with Steph Curry (shoulder) and Andrew Wiggins (adductor/illness) expected to remain out against the Trail Blazers.

Injury Report: Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins remains out vs. Trail Blazers on Friday

The All-Star forward will remain out for his 13th consecutive game on Friday against the Trail Blazers.

If the Golden State Warriors are going to extend their three-game winning streak on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers, they’re going to have to do it without a pair of All-Stars in the starting lineup.

While Steph Curry is dealing with a shoulder injury, Andrew Wiggins has missed Golden State’s previous 12 games due to an adductor injury and a non-COVID related illness. Wiggins has been cleared to return to practice, but came down with an illness before he could make his return to the starting lineup.

Wiggins is expected to miss his 13th consecutive games on Friday against the Trail Blazers. According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, there’s “a sense” Friday will be Wiggins’ final missed game of his injury stint. After Friday’s game against the Blazers, the Warriors will get two days off before hosting the Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 2.

Via @anthonyVslater on Twitter:

Prior to his injury, Wiggins was averaging 19.1 points on 51.1% shooting from the field with 5.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 32.8 minutes per game. In his last game before missing time due to injury, Wiggins tallied a career-high 36 points with eight made 3-pointers against the Houston Rockets.

With Wiggins and Curry out, Steve Kerr has leaned on Donte DiVincenzo and Jordan Poole alongside Klay Thompson in the backcourt. Anthony Lamb, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody have also recently made appearances in the Warriors’ starting lineup.

The Warriors are scheduled to host the Trail Blazers on Friday night at 7 p.m. PT in San Francisco for their final game of the 2022 calendar year.

NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors’ blowout win over Trail Blazers behind Steph Curry double-double

After Steph Curry tallied 18 points and a season-high 14 assists in a blowout win over the Trail Blazers, NBA Twitter chimed in with reactions.

After dropping four of their last five games before the All-Star break, the Golden State Warriors started the stretch run on a positive note with a blowout victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The newly crowned All-Star Game Most Valuable Player helped fuel Golden State’s dominant win over the Trail Blazers with a crafty double-double.

Although he didn’t make it rain with 16 3-pointers, Steph Curry picked up where he left at the All-Star game with an impressive performance on Thursday to start the post-break run. The 33-year-old point guard notched 18 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field with a season-high 14 assists and five boards in only 27 minutes. As the Warriors cruised to a strong lead over the Blazers, Curry was on the bench for the entire fourth quarter.

NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors’ win over Trail Blazers, 104-94

Here is a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Twitter about Steph Curry, Otto Porter Jr. and the Warriors’ win over the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.

Although it was only a mid-week regular-season game, there was a buzz in the air surrounding the contest between the Portland Trail Blazers and Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night at Chase Center.

Heading into the game, Curry trailed Ray Allen by 15 triples for the top spot on the NBA’s all-time made 3-pointer list. To rewrite history on Wednesday, Curry would also have to bury the most 3-pointers in a single game with 16.

Yet, a slow start hampered Curry’s chances of making history in front of his home fans in San Francisco. The two-time Most Valuable Player missed his first four attempts from deep in the opening quarter.

While he was still able to drop in a flurry of buckets from long distance, Curry finished the contest with 22 points on 6-of-17 shooting from beyond the arc. The two-time Most Valuable Player will now have to wait to snap Allen’s record during Golden State’s upcoming road trip.

Although Curry didn’t produce a record-breaking performance, the Warriors were able to secure a victory over the Trail Blazers, 104-94.

After Golden State’s win to improve to a 21-4 record, the NBA Twitter community chimed in with different reactions. Here is a look at what fans and analysts were saying about Curry, Otto Porter Jr., Jordan Poole and the Warriors on Wednesday night.
