The New Orleans Pelicans (4-12) welcome the Golden State Warriors (11-3) to the Smoothie King Center Friday. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Warriors vs. Pelicans odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Warriors lead 2-0

The Warriors beat the Pelicans in back-to-back days in October, winning 124-106 in the first matchup on the 29th and then 104-89 in the second matchup on the 30th. Golden State closed as a 1.5-point underdog and then a 3-point favorite.

The Warriors are coming off a 120-97 home win over the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday, closing as a 7.5-point favorite. They have won 4 of their last 5 games, going 3-2 against the spread (ATS). Golden State is 10-4 ATS on the season.

The Pelicans won their first two games of the season, but are 2-12 since. They lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 128-100 Wednesday, closing as a 14-point underdog. New Orleans is just 2-8 ATS over its last 10 games and 4-12 ATS on the season.

Warriors at Pelicans picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 118, Pelicans 104

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no reason to think the Pelicans (+360) can pull off the upset here, especially with numerous weapons sidelined. Similarly, the Warriors are far too expensive (-500) to play outright.

Against the spread

BET WARRIORS -10.5 (-110).

The Warriors are 1-0 ATS this season as a double-digit favorite and 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite. They have won 9 of their last 11 with 5 of those wins coming by double figures.

The Pelicans are 0-3 ATS as a double-digit underdog this season and have lost 3 straight games, 2 of which were by 28-plus points. With that in mind, back WARRIORS -10.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET UNDER 223.5 (-115).

Simply put, the Pelicans won’t have the offensive firepower to really aid this total. They have scored 101 or fewer in 5 straight games and have topped 105 points just once in their last 9 outings, going 3-5-1 O/U.

The Warriors have gone Under in 2 straight and have held opponents to just 99.5 points per game in those. With Curry nursing a knee injury and their offense averaging under 110 PPG over their last 2 games, expect a slower game.

Back UNDER 223.5 (-115).

Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The New Orleans Pelicans (2-0) welcome the Golden State Warriors (2-1) to Smoothie King Center Monday. Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET (NBA TV). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Warriors vs. Pelicans odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: First meeting; Warriors won 2 of 3 meetings last season

The Pelicans beat the New York Knicks at home 96-87 Saturday, covering as a 3.5-point home favorite. They are 2-0 against the spread (ATS) and 0-2 O/U this season. New Orleans is led by F Zion Williamson, who is averaging 23.5 points per game.

The Warriors beat the Houston Rockets on the road 106-95 Sunday, covering as a 7-point favorite. Golden State has covered 2 of its last 3 games and is 2-0 ATS on the road. It is 0-3 O/U through 3 games. The Warriors are led by G Stephen Curry, who is averaging 30.7 points per game.

Warriors at Pelicans picks and predictions

Prediction

Pelicans 116, Warriors 112

Moneyline

BET PELICANS (-152).

Through 2 games, the Pelicans have looked strong. While they only won by 9 against the Knicks, they went into the half up 18. New Orleans has 3 proven scorers, a defensive workhorse and an experienced big man.

That combination should bode well against the Warriors, who were the league’s 4th-worst road team last season. Golden State was 12-35 on the road and 7-8 on the 2nd night of a back-to-back.

Take the rested Pelicans to win at home. Back PELICANS (-152).

Against the spread

PASS.

Curry has played well and is scoring with ease. While F Herb Jones may get the assignment and play him well with his size, reducing the stress if this game is close is worth the juice here.

Go with the moneyline play over the Pelicans on the spread.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 227.5 (-110).

Simply put, the 2 team’s combined are 0-5 O/U this season. The Pelicans have yet to allow more than 104 points and have yet to score more than 111.

Golden State has put up more than 106 once and has allowed more than 108 once, so this total seems too high for 2 sides both with solid defenses.

Take UNDER 227.5 (-110).

Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Golden State Warriors (7-9) visit the Smoothie King Center Monday to take on the New Orleans Pelicans (9-7). Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Warriors vs. Pelicans odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Warriors took down the Houston Rockets 127-120 on the road Sunday, failing to cover as 10.5-point favorites. The Dubs have alternated between covering and not in their last 8 games.

Golden State is led by 2-time MVP G Stephen Curry, who is averaging 32.3 points per game. He’s shooting 52.9% from the field and 44.7% from deep.

The Pelicans lost Friday to the Boston Celtics at home 117-109 as 3-point underdogs. They are 8-8 against the spread (ATS) on the season which compares favorably to Golden State’s 6-10 ATS record.

That loss to Boston snapped a 3-game covering streak for the Pelicans. New Orleans is led this season by a trio of F Zion Williamson, G CJ McCollum and F Brandon Ingram.

Warriors at Pelicans picks and predictions

Prediction

Pelicans 119, Warriors 112

Moneyline

PASS.

The Warriors are the reigning champs, so betting against them at (-220) doesn’t feel right. At the same time, Golden State is 0-8 on the road, so it doesn’t have much value here either.

Against the spread

BET PELICANS -5.5 (-105).

There’s no reason to believe the Warriors’ road struggles are going to stop now. They are also a top-heavy side, leaning on Curry.

That might not bode well with the length of players like Ingram and F Herb Jones. The Warriors’ lone road cover was against the Pelicans, but it was 11-point underdogs, resting most of their players.

What New Orleans is good at will cripple the Warriors, mainly the offensive glass. The Pelicans rank 8th in offensive rebounding with the Warriors sitting 25th in defensive rebounding.

The Warriors are 0-3 ATS on the road since covering against New Orleans. Back the Pelicans -5.5 (-105) as they should be able to thrive against the Dubs.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 230.5 (-105).

The Warriors defense has been drastically worse than a season ago. Couple that with their league-high pace sitting at 103.02, and this game should be a high-tempo battle.

Golden State has gone Over in 2 of its last 3, and the Pelicans are 9-7 O/U this season. Given the extra opportunities that New Orleans should create and the Warriors’ pace, the Over 228.5 (-105) is the better play.

Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The New Orleans Pelicans (4-3) welcome the Golden State Warriors (3-6) to Smoothie King Center Friday. Tip is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Warriors vs. Pelicans odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Warriors are coming into this battle following an underwhelming performance in a 130-129 loss to the Orlando Magic. The reigning champs have now lost 4 in a row, 3 of which are to teams in the East unlikely to make the playoffs.

Golden State gave up 77 points in the 2nd half to Orlando. The Warriors are led by 2-time MVP G Stephen Curry, who is averaging 31 points per game and shooting 48.7% from the field.

The Pelicans appear to finally be healthy after having injury issues with their top players. New Orleans is coming off a brutal 120-117 overtime loss on Wednesday to the Los Angeles Lakers.

It is led this season by F Zion Williamson, who is averaging 22.8 points per game. F Brandon Ingram and G CJ McCollum also average over 20 per game.

Warriors at Pelicans picks and predictions

Prediction

Pelicans 119, Warriors 113

Moneyline

PASS.

Playing New Orleans to win isn’t worth the value, and Golden State is playing terrible defense now which makes it unplayable as well.

Against the spread

BET PELICANS -4.5 (-110).

The Warriors are better than they’ve been playing, but the championship hangover is real.

They turn the ball over at the 8th-highest rate and do not rebound well, which is going to be brutal against the Pelicans, a team that ranks 4th in offensive rebounding rate.

They don’t have the size or athleticism to keep Williamson off the offensive glass either. New Orleans has the 6th-best net rating, so a case can be made it is better than its record indicates as well.

The well-oiled Warriors offense is clicking at a high level and generating open looks, but they sit just 7th in effective field goal rate. New Orleans is 10th. Golden State’s defense ranks 26th in defensive rating as well.

Put it all together, and back the Pelicans -4.5 (-110) here.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 223.5 (-108).

The Warriors play at the 3rd-highest pace and will give up plenty of 2nd-chance opportunities on the glass. That should result in the Pelicans being able to score with ease.

Golden State’s offense has a few of the most dynamic scorers in the game, so it should score. The Warriors have scored 113 or more in 4 of their last 5 games. Back the Over 223.5 (-108) here.

Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Golden State Warriors (52-29) visit Smoothie King Center Sunday to take on the New Orleans Pelicans (36-45). Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Warriors vs. Pelicans odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Warriors come into the game following a 100-94 victory Saturday over the San Antonio Spurs, who covered as 7.5-point favorites. With a win against the Pelicans, the Warriors will lock up the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.

If they lose and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Spurs, the tiebreaker will force them to No. 4. The Dubs are 40-37-4 against the spread (ATS) on the season and 4-1 ATS over their last 5.

The Pelicans are sitting in 9th place and coming off a 141-114 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, not even coming close to covering as 7.5-point underdogs.

They were without star F Brandon Ingram who was out with hamstring tightness. His status is one to confirm prior to betting this matchup. New Orleans is 2-1 ATS over its last 3 and 4-3 ATS over its last 7.

Warriors at Pelicans odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 113, Pelicans 107

Money line

PASS.

The Warriors have the motivation that should propel their effort and also Steve Kerr’s rotation. With that in mind, I like the Warriors to win, but at -230, their money line has no value.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET on the WARRIORS -5.5 (-108).

After a relatively rough streak of games following Curry’s injury, the Warriors have returned to top form even without the two-time MVP. F Draymond Green and G Jordan Poole have been playing at a high level as of late.

The Warriors were a bucket against the Spurs away from having covered 5 straight.

Similarly, the Pelicans could be without Ingram which would crush their offensive aptitude. The Pelicans are 7-18 without Ingram. The spread seems to imply he will play, but it’s certainly something to keep an eye on.

New Orleans is just 11-14 ATS as a home underdog as well.

Over/Under

LEAN to the UNDER 221.5 (-110).

The Warriors have been defending at a high level latley. Their projected total is 1-5 O/U in its last 6.

While the Pelicans just gave up 141, they are 2-6 O/U in their last 8, so neither team has necessarily been pushing the pace. They rank 16th (Pelicans) and 20th (Warriors) in pace over their last 15 games.

For those reasons, I prefer the Under 221.5.

Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Golden State Warriors (29-8) travel to Smoothie King Center Thursday to take on the New Orleans Pelicans (13-25). Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Warriors vs. Pelicans odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Warriors are coming off a season-low 82-point performance in a loss at the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday. In a game in which Dirk Nowitzki had his jersey retired, the Mavs put it on the Dubs.

Golden State is still among the best covering teams in the league with a 22-13-2 ATS record. They’re 3-2 ATS on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Pelicans are finally rounding into form with F Brandon Ingram looking like an All-Star. However, they’re still lost three straight games and four of their last five outings.

New Orleans is just 16-22 ATS, the sixth-worst record in the NBA.

Warriors at Pelicans odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 108, Pelicans 101

Money line

PASS on the money line.

The Warriors are the supremely talented team but I don’t find much value in their money line at -145.

Against the spread

BET on the WARRIORS -2.5 (-115). I do find value in them to win by three or more.

The Warriors are 6-1 ATS after a loss, and while key role players Iguodala and Curry are considered questionable, the Dubs still have a good chance to cover and the line already reflects their absence.

They have the best defensive rating in the NBA and have seen explosive performances from F Andrew Wiggins and G Jordan Poole. F Draymond Green did a great job defending Kevin Durant earlier this season, and the DPOY candidate should again have success against Ingram.

The Pelicans, who have the sixth-worst defensive rating and fourth-worst true shooting percentage, haven’t shown enough to confidently beat even a Curry-less Dubs.

However, I would wait to make this wager until knowing that Golden State has at least three of its four stars playing.

Over/Under

BET on the UNDER 212.5 (-110). This is the best play in the game especially with Curry “not optimistic” about playing.

The Warriors have lockdown defenders in G Gary Payton II and Green available. Along with Wiggins, they should be able to limit New Orleans, a team that already struggles to score.

Similarly, the Warriors will likely be down their top-scoring threat and potential MVP candidate. Lastly, New Orleans is 18-20 on the O/U and the Warriors are just 12-23-2, the second-worst Over rate in the league.

Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Tuesday’s Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Golden State Warriors (33-32) meet the New Orleans Pelicans (29-36) Tuesday for their second game in consecutive days at Smoothie King Center. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Warriors-Pelicans odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Golden State beat the brakes off of New Orleans 123-108 Monday thanks to a sensational performance by PG Stephen Curry, who dropped 41 points on 14-of-26 shooting with 4 rebounds and 8 assists.

The eighth-place Warriors are firmly in the postseason play-in territory. They are 3.5 games back of the sixth-place Dallas Mavericks and 4 games in front of the Pelicans, who are in 11th place.

The Pelicans are 4-3 overall and 5-2 ATS over the past two weeks but unfortunately, their playoff hopes are fleeting. They sit 2.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs for the final spot in the postseason play-in tournament.

Warriors at Pelicans: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Warriors 117, Pelicans 112

Money line (ML)

PASS. Even though I “lean” to Golden State covering the spread, there’s just not enough value in Warriors (+110).

It’s tough to beat the same team in consecutive days. This is pretty much a playoff game for the Pelicans, however, they’re just 8-13 as home favorites this season.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

BET the WARRIORS +2.5 (-115) for 1 unit, but wait until as close to tip-off as possible before wagering on this game because Adams’ game status is the biggest factor for this handicap.

The Pelicans have the highest rebounding rate in the league, and that’s due in large part to Adams dominating the paint.

The Warriors have the third-worst rebounding percentage in the league so Adams’ absence will lessen that disadvantage.

Also, the Pelicans are 4-8 ATS when laying between 1-2.5 points and 6-15 ATS as home favorites whereas the Warriors are 6-5 ATS when being spotted 1-2.5 points.

Lastly, the Pelicans are ranked 27th in defensive rating and the Warriors have lit up bad defenses this season.

According to CleaningTheGlass.com, the Warriors are 14-9 overall vs. teams in the bottom 10 of defensive efficiency with a plus-3.2-point ATS margin.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS on the total because Curry has been dominant since the start of April, the Pelicans have the fourth-highest FTA/FG rate while the Warriors have the second-worst defensive FTA/FG rate.

However, Golden State is ranked sixth in defensive rating, the Under has cashed in nine of Golden State’s last 11 games played on zero rest and New Orleans has played to the Under in five of its past six games.

Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Golden State Warriors (32-32) play the first half of a back-to-back set against the New Orleans Pelicans (29-35) Monday at Smoothie King Center. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Warriors-Pelicans odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Warriors throttled the Houston Rockets by a 113-87 score Saturday. Golden State was trailing at halftime but used a 39-12 third quarter to roll to the rout and cover the -8.5-point spread as the Under (233) connected.

Golden State snapped a two-game mini-skid and a three-game non-cover slide. The Warriors will be looking to win and cover in consecutive road games for the first time since April 14-15 in Oklahoma City and Cleveland.

The Pelicans rolled up 140 points in a 4-point win and cover in overtime against the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday. They are 3-1 straight up and 4-0 against the spread across their last four games, and the Under is 4-1 in the previous five for the Pels.

Warriors at Pelicans: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Warriors 117, Pelicans 114

Money line (ML)

The WARRIORS (+125) are a nice value play as short underdogs on the road against the Pelicans. This should be a very entertaining and tight game right down to the wire.

Against the spread (ATS)

The WARRIORS +3 (-110) are a better value just straight up, but if you want a little bit of wiggle room and foresee a one-possession game won by the Pelicans, take the Dubs and the points.

Golden State is 4-1 ATS in its past five games as an underdog, although it’s just 1-6 ATS in the previous seven as a road dog. New Orleans is 1-4 ATS in its past five as a home favorite, too.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 236.5 (-110) is the way to go, as this number is just too high. The trends back it up, too, as the Warriors hit the Under in five of their past seven games, and in four in a row against losing teams.

The Under is also 4-1 in the past five head-to-head meetings and 4-1 in the past five battles in New Orleans.
