Warriors to wear new Nike classic edition ‘origins’ jersey during 2021-22 season

For the 2021-22 season, the Golden State Warriors will debut a new Nike classic edition “origins” jersey.

When Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green suit up for the new 2021-22 season, the Golden State Warriors will have a brand new uniform to choose from in their locker.

For the 75th anniversary of the NBA in the 2021-22 season, the Warriors will be one of three teams to wear Nike’s classic edition origin jersey. The Warriors will join the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics as the other teams to wear the special uniforms.

The jerseys will feature Golden State’s classic blue with yellow and red themes. In addition, the jersey has “Warriors” striped across the chest in red and white.

The origin look will join Golden State’s already packed wardrobe of jerseys. Along with their original white home and blue away jerseys, the Warriors have recently featured a flurry of different jerseys with themes like “The Town,” “The Bay,” “The City,” and Oakland’s “We Believe.”

NBA graphic designer creates Disney edition Golden State Warriors crossover jersey

The Golden State Warriros got a new look featuring Disney’s Cinderella Castle.

Although the Golden State Warriors won’t be Orlando bound, the team still received an updated uniform with Disney vibes. To celebrate the return of basketball, NBA graphic designer Mikey Halim and Slam Studios created Disney inspired crossover uniforms for every team in the league.

The Disney crossover included the New Orleans Pelicans getting a Finding Nemo makeover, the Los Angeles Lakers looking like Mickey Mouse, the Milwaukee Bucks donning Bambi inspired jerseys and much more.

When it came to the Golden State Warriors, Halim assigned Walt Disney World’s Cinderella Castle. On a yellow uniform, the picturesque castle filled in for Golden State’s bridge silhouette in the middle of the jersey.

While the NBA has been on hold, new and creative uniform designs have blossomed across the internet. Prior to rolling out his Disney themed jerseys, Halim constructed superhero concept uniforms for every team in the league. The Golden State Warriors received Marvel’s Wolverine and Black Panther uniforms.

Redditor designs new Warriors uniform with Golden Gate Bridge themed colorway

While the NBA is on hiatus, the Golden State Warriors got a new uniform concept that resembles the Bay Area’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

Since Nike was put in charge of the NBA’s uniform collection, the Golden State Warriors have rolled out a bevy of new looks. Multiple throwbacks, slate and yellow colorways have been worn in Golden State over the past few seasons.

When the franchise relocated across the Bay Area to San Francisco’s Chase Center, the Warriors got a fresh, updated look to their classic home and away jersey. After the minor change to their white and blue jerseys, the Warriors introduced a couple more new looks.

The white “San Francisco” jersey made an appearance along with black “The Town” and yellow “The Bay” jerseys. Along with the addition of the black and yellow kits, the Warriors brought back their beloved “The City” yellow throwback jerseys.

Although the Warriors have a closet full of different uniforms, there’s always room for a new idea. With no basketball on the calendar, Reddit user Thomas McLaughlin (u/Tmac6886) redesigned the “City Edition” uniforms for every team in the NBA.

When it came to Golden State, the Warriors redesign concept resembled the Bay Area’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

Following the Warriors Golden Gate Bridge update, the Los Angeles Lakers got a Space Jam redesign, the Brooklyn Nets uniform were renovated to mirror the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Houston Rockets got a Travis Scott styled fit. View the full collection of redesigns here.
