Clemson football’s starting right guard, Walker Parks, shared some big news about his future this week, confirming his intention to return for a final season with the Tigers in 2025.
Parks, a redshirt senior, spoke to the media on Tuesday, solidifying his commitment to one more year with Clemson. “Yeah, that’s fully my plan now,” Parks said. “I’ve got another year of eligibility. I have no intentions of leaving. So, I love this place, I love this team, and like I said, I would play here forever if they let me. I think they’re gonna give me another year, so I’ll take it.”
Returning to action this season has been a hard-fought journey for Parks, who has endured multiple injuries over recent years. Once a four-star recruit from Kentucky and an ESPN Freshman All-American in 2020, Parks faced a season-ending ankle injury in Clemson’s second game of the 2023 season against Charleston Southern. In 2022, he played through a torn ankle ligament that ultimately required surgery, causing him to miss the following spring.
Now healthy, Parks has started all seven games for Clemson this season, logging 324 snaps to date. With two All-ACC Academic Team honors, he entered this season with a career total of 2,107 snaps across 39 games, including 28 starts.
