Another embarrassing visiting fan takeover at Allegiant for Raiders

Vikings fans with latest embarrassing visiting fan takeover of Allegiant for Raiders

How bad has it gotten for the Raiders in their ‘home’ stadium? Visiting teams are now posting videos to their social media of their fans taking over Allegiant.

This was not just a cherry-picked section of the stadium by the Vikings social media either. The entire crowd was a decided solid shake of purple.

You could hear it too.

Late in a game in which neither team had scored until inside the final two minutes, the Vikings just needed a stop to preserve a 3-0 victory. They got it on one play and just listen to the crowd erupt when Aidan O’Connell throws the interception.

That’s not the sound of a deflated home crowd. That’s an elated crowd of visiting fans

This is also nothing new. Visiting fans have been taking over Allegiant since it opened. And it doesn’t seem to matter if the team is playing winning football or not. Early in the season, when hope was still alive, they saw the stadium overrun by Steelers fans in Week three and Packers fans in Week five.

It’s a combination of issues for the Raiders. It’s inflated ticket prices, being a tourist destination for visiting fans, many people who purchased Raiders season tickets as an investment to sell for a profit, and Vegas being relatively isolated which means a good portion of the team’s actual fans live over four hours away.

Whatever the reasons, the lack of a home field advantage for the Raiders only appears to be getting worse.

New survey ranks which NFL fan bases complain the most. Do Vikings fans not complain enough?

Based on this survey, Minnesota Vikings fans might actually be too nice.

As Minnesota has gone into a 1-5 hole on the year, Vikings fans have had plenty to complain about.

Why is the pass coverage so bad? Why did the team extend a quarterback who is struggling so much? Is there a way out for a team that is in contention in terms of its salary cap but out of contention in terms of its record?

Despite all this, MIBets recently compiled a survey that suggests the Vikings fanbase ranks as just 26th most in complaining.

MIBets also found that the Vikings fans’ worst habit is using the victim mentality. Does that sound familiar to you? If you’ve heard any Vikings fans discuss the 1998 and 2009 seasons — or any season, really — then I’m sure using victim mentality comes to mind.

Here is the study’s methodology:

“From September 22 to October 8, 2020, we surveyed 5,103 people to determine which NFL players, coaches and fanbases complain the most. 57% of respondents were male and 43% were female. The average age of respondents was 36 years old.”
