UFC Fight Night 241 fighters took home UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay, a program that continued after the UFC’s deal with Venum.

LAS VEGAS – Fighters from Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 241 event took home UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay totaling $158,500.

The program, a comprehensive plan that includes outfitting requirements, media obligations and other items under the fighter code of conduct, replaces the previous payments made under the UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy.

UFC Fight Night 241 took place at the UFC Apex. The entire card streamed on ESPN+.

Under the UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program’s payout tiers, which appropriate the money generated by Venum’s multi-year sponsorship with the UFC, fighters are paid based on their total number of UFC bouts, as well as Zuffa-era WEC fights (January 2007 and later) and Zuffa-era Strikeforce bouts (April 2411 and later). Fighters with 1-3 bouts receive $4,000 per appearance; 4-5 bouts get $4,500; 6-10 bouts get $6,000; 11-15 bouts earn $11,000; 16-20 bouts pocket $16,000; and 21 bouts and more get $21,000. Additionally, champions earn $42,000 while title challengers get $32,000.

In addition to experience-based pay, UFC fighters will receive in perpetuity royalty payments amounting to 20-30 percent of any UFC merchandise sold that bears their likeness, according to officials.

Then he turned the tables so quickly that [autotag]Victor Martinez[/autotag] had to be wondering what just happened. Nolan (7-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) shut down Martinez (13-6 MMA, 0-2 UFC) with a first-round TKO, but only after he survived a knockdown and offensive onslaught from Martinez.

Nolan’s finish came at the 3:50 mark of the opening round in a lightweight fight at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas in which he was a 5-1 favorite.

Nolan got up from Martinez’s blitz and hit him with a knee – a knee he apparently predicted he would land in the days leading up to the fight. The knee buckled Martinez, and Nolan quickly pounded him out for the TKO finish.

After a Dana White’s Contender Series win in 83 seconds in August 2023, his UFC debut in January lasted just 63 seconds when Nikolas Motta took him out with a TKO. That, combined with the rough patch just before he turned things around are the fine line between prospect and bust in the sport.

The return of Dana White’s Contender Series isn’t far off, and here are 10 lightweights who are candidates to appear on the show.

Dana White’s Contender Series has become a focal point for fighters on the regional scene looking to make it to the next level. Since its inception in 2017, the UFC Fight Pass-turned-ESPN+ summer original removed some of the guesswork for up-and-comers trying to make it big.

With UFC president Dana White and matchmakers Mick Maynard and Sean Shelby cageside, the stakes are high. Have an impressive, exciting win on the show, and you’re in.

Rumored for a late-June 2020 start date, DWCS Season 4 is almost here. The lineups haven’t been announced quite yet, but advanced planning is underway. While there are hundreds of fighters qualified to compete on the show, we’ll be narrowing each divisional pool to 10 you should expect to see on the show this summer.

Alves didn’t fight on DWCS – and hasn’t competed since that April bout. Assuming the offer still stands, Alves is a great addition to the DWCS lineup. He brings veteran savvy, excitement, and well-roundedness. It wasn’t a straight incline for Alves when moving up the regional rankings, but the current product is a good one. DWCS would prove it.

An exciting and flashy striker, [autotag]Mike Breeden[/autotag] has built a deep highlight reel just 10 fights into his pro career. Training under James Krause at Glory MMA and Fitness, Breeden has improved all aspects of his game since his pro debut in 2017. In his most recent fight at LFA 77 in September 2017, Breeden turned heads with his flying knee knockout of Brandon Jenkins. The victory extended his winning streak to three – just in time to be recruited for the Season 4 of DWCS.
