Updated list of former Vols on NFL rosters following the 2022 draft.

The 2022 NFL draft took place April 28-30 in Paradise, Nevada.

Five former Vols were selected in the 2022 NFL draft and one VFL signed as an undrafted free agent.

Tennessee players who were selected in the 2022 NFL draft and signed as a free agent are listed below.

Justin Coleman signs with Seahawks

Former Vol Justin Coleman signs with the Seahawks.

Former Tennessee football cornerback Justin Coleman has signed with Seattle.

Coleman agreed to a one-year deal with the Seahawks. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This will be his second stint with Seattle. Coleman previously played for the Seahawks from 2017-18, appearing in every game during the two-year span.

He spent the 2021 campaign with Miami, playing 16 games and recording 27 tackles and two interceptions.

After playing for the Volunteers between 2011-14, Coleman signed with Minnesota.

He was released in training camp and claimed off waivers by New England, which cut him after one day.

Coleman played for the Patriots between 2015-16 before joining Seattle. He played for Detroit from 2019-20 before joining Miami in 2021.

Josh Malone agrees to terms with Tennessee

VFL Josh Malone agrees to terms with Tennessee.

Former Vols’ wide receiver Josh Malone has agreed to terms with the Tennessee Titans.

Malone was signed to Green Bay’s practice squad on Dec. 14, 2021. His contract expired with the Packers.

Malone played for Cincinnati (2017-18) and the Jets (2019-20) in the NFL. The former Vol has appeared in 26 games, totaling 11 receptions, 91 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown and three rushing attempts for 14 yards during his NFL career.

The 6-foot-2, 208-pound wide receiver played for Tennessee from 2014-16. He totaled 104 receptions, 1,608 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns in 39 contests for the Vols.

VFL Mark Ingram pays tribute to Jim Hilyer

Former Vol Mark Ingram pays tribute to Jim Hilyer.

UAB athletics director and former Tennessee football player Mark Ingram payed tribute Thursday to former Blazers’ head coach Jim Hilyer.

Hilyer died Wednesday. He was 86.

“It was our honor to induct Dr. Jim Hilyer this past year into the UAB Athletics Hall of Fame,” Ingram said. “Coach Hilyer has meant so much to so many of our players, fans and alumni. The impact that he made will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.”

Hilyer served as UAB’s first head coach in program history. He compiled a 27–12–2 record from 1991-94 when the Blazers’ fielded official teams.

Ingram was hired as UAB’s athletics director on May 1, 2015, leaving his position as executive senior associate athletics director at Temple.

Ingram played at Tennessee from 1995-96. He was a long snapper for the Vols.

After completing a master’s degree at UT in sports administration in 1997, Ingram joined UT’s athletics department in 1998, serving as an assistant director of development.

From 2002-06, Ingram was an assistant athletics director for development at the University of Missouri, and then served in the same role at the University of Georgia before returning to Tennessee in 2007 as senior associate athletics director.

During his time working in UT’s athletics department, Ingram helped with renovations across campus that included Neyland Stadium and Lindsey Nelson Stadium. His responsibilities were raising money and working on design that included getting Charlie Anderson on board to build the Anderson Training Center with a $48 million contribution.

A pair of former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action in the NBA on Sunday.

Tobias Harris and Jordan Bone played and their teams picked up mixed results.

The Philadelphia 76ers remained hot and are the top team in the Eastern Conference as they captured a 119-110 victory over the Pacers in Indianapolis.

Meanwhile, the Magic came up on the short end of a 115-102 decision against the Raptors in Toronto.

Harris led the 76ers to victory against Indiana as he led Philadelphia with 27 points.

Harris, who started and played more than 30 minutes, was 10-for-19 from the floor. He was 2-for-5 from beyond the 3-point arc and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

He also pulled down eight rebounds and had one blocked shot for the 76ers (15-6).

In Toronto, Bone played three minutes in Orlando’s loss to the Raptors.

He had three points, a pair of assists and one rebound for the Magic, who dropped to 8-13 on the season. Bone was 1-for-2 from the field and made a 3-pointer in two attempts from beyond the arc.

Former Tennessee long snapper placed on NFL COVID-19 reserve list

This former Vol will not take the field for the Ravens Tuesday.

A few NFL teams have battled COVID-19 outbreaks on their rosters throughout the course of the 2020 season.

The latest franchise to deal with an outbreak is Baltimore, who had a Thanksgiving matchup with Pittsburgh postponed until Tuesday.

The Ravens have a growing list of players recently placed on the COVID/reserve list, including VFL long snapper Morgan Cox.

Cox started his Tennessee career as a walk-on in 2007.

He was placed on scholarship as the Vols’ starting long snapper in 2008 and 2009. After going undrafted in 2010, the Cordova, Tennessee native was signed by Baltimore as a free agent and has been playing ever since.

Cox has won one Super Bowl championship and is a three-time Pro-Bowler.

He will not be available when the Ravens take on Pittsburgh Tuesday.
