The Vegas Golden Knights (9-3-1) take on the Seattle Kraken (5-8-1) Friday. Puck drop from Climate Pledge Arena is set for 10 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NHL odds around the Golden Knights vs. Kraken odds and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.

Season series: First meeting; Vegas won 3-1 last season

The Knights have won 2 straight and 6 of 7 after a 4-2 win at Edmonton Wednesday, covering as +143 road underdogs. D Noah Hanifin scored his 2nd and 3rd goals of the season — all 3 coming in the last 2 games. VGK has scored 2+ goals in every game this season and 3+ in the last 9.

They lost 6-3 as +163 underdogs at Colorado Tuesday after they were shut out in consecutive games by Boston (2-0 Sunday) and Ottawa (3-0 last Saturday). Golden Knights at Kraken projected goalies

Adin Hill (6-2-0, 3.01 GAA, .882 SV%, 1 SO) vs. Joey Daccord (4-3-1, 2.76 GAA, .915 SV%,)

After a messy start, Hill has righted the ship. Over the last 3 games, he has allowed 5 goals on 64 shots, and VGK won all 3. Hill was 2-0-0 with a 2.46 GAA and .921 SV% last season against the Kraken.

Daccord has been steady over his last 3 starts, allowing 7 goals on 92 shots. His offense has forsake him, though, scoring just 1 goal in the 2 losses over the stretch. He faced Vegas once last season and shut them out, stopping all 35 sent his way.

Golden Knights at Kraken picks and predictions

Prediction

Golden Knights 5, Kraken 2

Moneyline

I really like the way Vegas (-145) is playing. The Golden Knights have 4 different players with 6+ goals, and none of them are C Jack Eichel. I’m frankly surprised Vegas isn’t favored more considering that Seattle (+120) is 21st in the league with 2.8 goals per game.

I’m PASSING on a ML bet, though I’m definitely open to taking the Golden Knights at -145.

Puck line/Against the spread

There is great value on the PL here at +170. Vegas is 9-4 ATS thus far. Over the last 10 meetings with the Kraken, the Golden Knights are 8-2 with 7 of those wins coming by multiple goals.

TAKE GOLDEN KNIGHTS -1.5 (+170).

Over/Under

This one sneaks over on the merits of Vegas’ powerful offense. If this were 6.5, I’d avoid it. The Over is just 3-7 in the last 10 head-to-head meetings, but VGK is 10-3 O/U on the season thanks to its offense.

LEAN OVER 6 (-105).

Golden Knights at Kraken projected goalies

Laurent Brossoit (6-0-3, 2.29 GAA, .923 SV%) vs. Philipp Grubauer (17-13-4, 2.87 GAA, .895 SV%)

Brossoit has emerged as an unlikely star for Vegas, and he could lead it to a division title with another win. He is a perfect 4-0-0 with a 1.73 GAA and .940 SV% in 4 starts in April. Brossoit stopped 20 of 21 shots against the Kraken in the front end of the home-and-home set Tuesday.

Grubauer picked up a win last time out at the Arizona Coyotes Monday, as he allowed just a single goal on 23 shots. He has also been hot in April, going 3-0-0 with a 1.21 GAA and .952 SV% in 3 starts and 1 relief appearance.

Golden Knights at Kraken picks and predictions

Prediction

Golden Knights 3, Kraken 2

Moneyline

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (-120) are a solid play as favorites on the road. Vegas simply needs 1 point to raise a banner.

The Kraken have already clinched a Wild Card spot, and if Vegas manages to win the division, these teams will face each other in the first round.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Kraken +1.5 (-250) have nothing to play for, other than trying to spoil the division hopes of the Golden Knights, perhaps changing Seattle’s first-round opponent to the Oilers.

PASS.

Over/Under

The UNDER 6 (-105) is the lean, mainly because Brossoit and Grubauer have been so very hot and have sub-2.00 GAA in April.

The Under is also 15-7-2 in the past 24 road games for the Golden Knights, while going 13-3-1 in the past 7 games against teams with a winning percentage over .600.
