Where does MSU land in latest batch of USA TODAY bowl projections?

See where Michigan State football lands in the latest bowl projections from USA TODAY

Michigan State football is heading to the Big Apple in the latest batch of bowl projections from USA TODAY.

Earlier this week, Erick Smith of USA TODAY released his weekly bowl projections update, and Michigan State was included. Smith has the Spartans heading to the Pinstripe Bowl playing NC State in this Big Ten-ACC matchup.

Michigan State picked up a massive win last week in regards to reaching bowl eligibility. The win over Maryland was considered a toss-up game, and should go a long way toward Michigan State reaching six wins and earning bowl eligibility.

Michigan State is 2-0 on the year and will face FCS foe Prairie View A&M this week. The Spartans and Panthers will take the field at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Wisconsin football faces Arkansas in the latest USA TODAY bowl projections

Wisconsin faces yet another SEC opponent in the latest USA TODAY Sports bowl projections:

The Wisconsin Badgers were able to handle the Purdue Boilermakers in a 30-13 victory last Saturday; however, the Badgers are still predicted to play in the Music City Bowl by the latest USA TODAY Sports bowl projections.

Last week, Wisconsin was projected to play against the Florida Gators in the Music City Bowl, but are now predicted to play against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Badgers have played the Razorbacks twice in their programs’ histories in 2007 and 1912. Both games were victories for Wisconsin.

The projected College Football Playoff teams for this week are unchanged and remain Oklahoma, Ohio State, Georgia and Alabama.

The Badgers will be going up against one of their toughest tests of the season on Saturday when they face off against the No. 10 Iowa Hawkeyes. A win for Wisconsin is crucial in their chances for the Big Ten West title and a shot at the Big Ten Championship game.

Wisconsin faces another SEC foe in latest USA TODAY Bowl Projections

The Wisconsin Badgers face another SEC opponent in the USA TODAY Sports bowl projections:

The latest USA TODAY Sports bowl projections once again predicted the Wisconsin Badgers to play in the Music City Bowl. However, the Badgers are now predicted to play against the Florida Gators instead of last week’s projection of the Tennessee Volunteers.

The Badgers have played in only one Music City Bowl, which they lost to the Auburn Tigers in 2003. Wisconsin has never faced the Florida Gators before so this matchup would definitely be a historic and exciting bowl game to see.

The College Football Playoff teams for this week include Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and Ohio State.

Wisconsin will be going on the road this weekend against a very talented Purdue team that just upset the Iowa Hawkeyes, so it will be important for Graham Mertz and the offense to get in sync to match the scoring of the Boilermakers.

Wisconsin plays a new SEC opponent in latest USA TODAY bowl projections

Wisconsin football plays a new SEC opponent in the latest USA TODAY Sports bowl projections:

Although Wisconsin football remains in the Music City Bowl in the latest USA TODAY Sports bowl projections, the Badgers are now predicted to play the Tennesee Volunteers.

Wisconsin has only played in one Music City Bowl in 2003, where they fell 28-14 against the Auburn Tigers. The Badgers have also not fared well in their previous matchups against the Volunteers, losing both times the programs have met.

After a lot of movement in the last few weeks, the projected College Football Playoff teams for this week are Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Oklahoma.

The Badgers will be up against the Army Black Knights this weekend at Camp Randall, and a win will be vital in helping Wisconsin get back to .500.

Wisconsin drops in latest USA TODAY bowl projections

After a blowout loss to Notre Dame, the Badgers now play another SEC opponent in the latest USA TODAY bowl projections:

After a blowout loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish last Saturday, the Wisconsin Badgers are now predicted to play the LSU Tigers in the Music City Bowl by the latest bowl projections from USA TODAY.

Wisconsin has only played in one other Music City Bowl, back in 2003, where the Badgers lost 28-14 against the Auburn Tigers. Against LSU, the Badgers are 1-1 with Wisconsin’s victory occurring in their last matchup in 2016 at historic Lambeau Field.

The projected College Football Playoff teams for this week have changed because of Oklahoma‘s recent struggles, and they now include Alabama, Iowa, Georgia and Oregon.

Wisconsin will be facing a tough task in their opponent Michigan this weekend, but if they could pull out a victory, the Badgers could see their bowl projections improve for next week.

Despite being off last week, Wisconsin is projected to play a new SEC opponent by the latest USA TODAY bowl projections:

Even though Wisconsin football had a bye week last week, the Badgers are now predicted to play against the Kentucky Wildcats in the Outback Bowl by the latest bowl projections from USA TODAY.

Wisconsin has played in five Outback bowls since it started in 1986 but has only won two of their matchups. The Badgers beat Auburn back in 2015 as well as Duke in 1995. Wisconsin has only matched up against Kentucky once, back in 1984 in the Hall of Fame Classic, where the Badgers lost 20-19 to the Wildcats.

The projected College Football Playoff teams for this week remain as AlabamaOklahomaGeorgia and Oregon.

The Badgers will be facing next former Wisconsin quarterback Jack Coan and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Soldier Field in Chicago.

After the Wisconsin Badgers dominated the Eastern Michigan Eagles 34-7 on Saturday, the Badgers are now projected to play against the Mississippi(Ole Miss) Rebels in the Citrus Bowl by the latest bowl projections from USA Today.

Wisconsin has played in three Citrus Bowls, while it was named the Capital One Bowl from 2003-2014. The Badgers won their first two against Auburn and Arkansas in 2006 and 2007 but lost their latest Citrus Bowl to South Carolina in 2014. It should be noted that Wisconsin has never matched up against Ole Miss before.

After an upset loss from Ohio State to Oregon, the predicted College Football Playoff teams for this week are now Alabama, Oklahoma, Georgia and Oregon.

The Badgers will be off this week so there likely will not be much change in their bowl projections but they could be impacted by some major matchups happening around college football on Saturday.

Wisconsin plays AAC opponent in latest USA Today bowl projections

The Badgers play an AAC opponent in the latest USA Today bowl projections:

After losing to the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday, the Wisconsin Badgers are now predicted to play against the Cincinnati Bearcats in the Fiesta Bowl by the latest bowl projections from USA Today.

The Badgers have never played in a Fiesta Bowl before, but have played the Bearcats four times in their program history. Wisconsin has won three of the four matchups between them, with the only loss coming back in 1999 when the Badgers were defeated 17-12.

The College Football Playoff teams for this week include Alabama, Oklahoma, Clemson and Ohio State.

Although the Fiesta Bowl projection is quite an honor for the Badgers, they will have to rebound against Eastern Michigan on Saturday to continue to live up to those expectations.
