Packers provide uniform numbers for Edgerrin Cooper, Javon Bullard, MarShawn Lloyd and Ty’Ron Hopper

The Packers handed out uniform numbers to second- and third-round picks in the 2024 draft.

The Green Bay Packers handed out uniform numbers for all four of their picks on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL draft.

Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper will wear No. 56. His preferred No. 45 is currently held by veteran linebacker Eric Wilson. No. 5, his high school number, is mostly retired for Paul Hornung. Some compared Cooper to former Packers linebacker Nick Barnett during the pre-draft process, and now Cooper will wear Barnett’s old number.

Safety Javon Bullard will wear No. 20. His collegiate number 22 is currently held by cornerback Robert Rochell. Bullard is taking over No. 20 from Rudy Ford, an unsigned free agent. It’s fair to wonder if Bullard will eventually get 22 from Rochell (fringe roster player) or if he’ll stay at 20 long term.

Running back MarShawn Lloyd will wear No. 32. Lloyd wore No. 0 and No. 1 in college. Clearly, the Packers weren’t comfortable giving out No. 0. Several recent running backs wore No. 32 in Green Bay: Kenyan Drake, James Robinson, Kylin Hill, Tyler Ervin, Devante Mays and Christine Michael, Cedric Benson and Brandon Jackson.

Linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper will wear No. 59. Hooper wore No. 8 at Missouri, but Josh Jacobs holds the number in Green Bay. The last player to wear No. 59 was De’Vondre Campbell, who was released this offseason. Former Packers linebackers Wayne Simmons, Na’il Diggs and Brad Jones also wore No. 59.

First-round pick Jordan Morgan is getting his college number 77.

Falcons announce uniform numbers for offseason additions

The Falcons announced uniform numbers for Eddie Goldman, Kevin King, James Smith-Williams and others on Friday

The Falcons have added several new faces this offseason and we haven’t even gotten to the draft yet. After bringing in Kirk Cousins, the team signed wide receiver Darnell Money, cornerback Kevin King, defensive lineman Eddie Goldman, and a handful of others.

On Friday, the Falcons announced the uniform numbers for Goldman (99), King (32), and the rest of their offseason additions. Check out the full list  of jersey numbers below, as shared by the team’s Twitter account:

Wide receiver Rondale Moore will take over the No. 9 for former Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder. Atlanta acquired Moore in a rare player-for-player trade for Ridder shortly after the team signed Cousins (No. 18) in free agency.

Falcons defensive end James Smith-Williams will wear the No. 50 and tight end Charlie Woerner will wear the No. 89. Cornerback Clark Phillips III changed his number to 22, giving the No. 34 to wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud.

Falcons cornerback Clark Phillips III changes uniform number

Falcons cornerback Clark Phillips III and wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud change jersey numbers

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Clark Phillips has officially changed his uniform number, the team announced on Tuesday. After wearing the No. 34 during his rookie season, Phillips will wear the No. 22 for Atlanta in 2024.

Falcons wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud, who signed with the team in free agency, will take over the No. 34 from Phillips this season. McCloud was initially going to wear the No. 14.

Phillips came on strong over the second half of his rookie season. The former Utah standout should play more in 2024 with Jeff Okudah out of the picture. McCloud was a relatively under-the-radar signing but the NFL’s altered kickoff return rules could expand his role this season.

Cordarrelle Patterson signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, leaving some big shoes for McCloud to fill.

Packers uniform number update: Josh Jacobs gets No. 8, Xavier McKinney gets No. 29

Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney, the Packers’ two big free agent signings, will keep their uniform numbers in Green Bay.

Uniform numbers have arrived for running back Josh Jacobs and safety Xavier McKinney, the Green Bay Packers’ two big free agent signings.

Both will continue wearing numbers worn with their previous teams.

Jacobs got the No. 8 from backup quarterback Sean Clifford, who is switching to No. 6. Jacobs wore No. 8 in high school, in college at Alabama and last season with the Las Vegas Raiders.

McKinney got the No. 29 from cornerback Zyon Gilbert, who is switching to No. 30. McKinney’s college number was No. 15, but that number is retired in Green Bay for Bart Starr. He wore No. 29 for four seasons with the New York Giants.

Jacobs, when asked about his number on Friday, said he’d be willing to pay Clifford for the No. 8. A fifth-round pick out of Penn State in 2023, Clifford — who wore No. 14 in high school and college — had the No. 8 for just one season.
