Chiefs announce 10 undrafted free agent signings ahead of rookie minicamp

The #Chiefs made it official, signing 10 undrafted free agents to the 90-man offseason roster.

The Kansas City Chiefs have officially announced that they’ve signed 10 undrafted free agents ahead of rookie minicamp.

Here are the players that will join the Chiefs’ draft class at rookie minicamp beginning tomorrow:

The team also announced they’ve waived former starting center Austin Reiter, likely in a move to make room for these 10 new players.

We have previously tracked each of these signings, with the exception of Oginni, who is an international prospect from Nigeria that the team is adding to the roster. He stands 6-7 and is listed at 225 pounds, which is pretty slight for a tight end, so this looks to be a true developmental prospect for the team.

Seahawks ‘just getting warmed up’ in roster re-tooling efforts

Despite a successful 2022 NFL draft, the Seattle Seahawks are “just getting warmed up” in their roster re-tooling efforts.

By most accounts, the Seattle Seahawks had a very successful 2022 NFL draft, addressing a number of positions of concern and adding some solid depth to the squad. But despite the work done over the weekend, this might just be the start of the Seahawks’ roster re-tooling efforts.

“We don’t feel like it ever stops,” general manager John Schneider said during his post-draft press conference Saturday night. “So this is just one avenue for us. So we’ll continue, around every corner we’re going to keep taking a peek and see what’s around the corner and see how we can improve this team.”

Following the draft, Seattle can still look to the veteran free-agent market and the number of young players who weren’t selected in the later rounds, inviting some to tryouts and to participate in the upcoming rookie camp.

Coach Pete Carroll echoed Schneider’s thoughts that the search is never over.

“Pretty well-balanced though in our choices, you know, that we got some spots that we had kind of agreed-upon it would be nice to get some help, and so the roster feels in pretty good shape right now,” Carroll added Saturday. “Is there big holes? I don’t feel like that at all, no.

“But, yeah, we’re just getting warmed up.”

Browns undrafted free agent additions list based on reports

Keeping track of all the reported undrafted free agent signings. So far, 12 have been reported by numerous sources including a former basketball player, a Watson training partner, a highly athletic receiver and more:

The Cleveland Browns added nine draft picks to an already loaded roster. With not a lot of space remaining on the team’s 90-man roster, we could see some players waived as veteran free agents and undrafted ones are added to the roster.

Before the draft, Broncos general manager George Paton noted that this year’s UDFA class is deeper than usual because of COVID-19 extending college careers for many prospects.

“[The] free agent class will be a lot deeper,” Paton said last Friday. “Last year’s free agent class, I mean, we were done in about five minutes. … It just wasn’t as deep, so I expect there to be a deeper class in the later rounds and college free agency.”

Last year’s UDFA class included outside linebacker Andre Mintze, who is now a key special teams player for Denver.
