Georgia fans reacting to a tough day in Athens…

No. 1 Georgia moves to 4-0 in an ugly 39-22 win at home versus Kent State.

The Golden Flashes forced three UGA turnovers and put up 22 points, the most given up by the Bulldogs since Alabama’s 41 points in the 2021 SEC Championship game.

Quarterback Stetson Bennett completed 27 of 36 passes for 272 yards and threw his first interception of the season. ‘The Mailman’ added a score on the ground.

Redshirt sophomore receiver Ladd McConkey struggled mightily with a muffed punt, lost fumble and three drops. McConkey finished with six catches for 65 yards.

The Dawg’s were exposed in run defense at times. Kent State scored the first rush touchdown the Bulldogs have given up this season and racked up 93 yards on the ground.

Georgia did have several bright spots on the day. Tight end Brock Bowers ran for a 75-yard touchdown and a two-yard score, while adding five catches for 60 yards.

Running back Daijun Edwards finishes as the team’s second leading rusher behind Bowers with 12 carries for 73 yards

Safety Christopher Smith nabbed his second interception of the season, the only Kent State turnover.

Starting Georgia RB Kenny McIntosh limping after weird hit

Kenny McIntosh appears injured after weird hit…

Starting Georgia running back Kenny McIntosh limped off the field after a weird hit late in the fourth quarter against Kent State.

The hit was low to McIntosh’s left leg. The senior limped off the field and was checked in the medical tent by trainers.

McIntosh was able to ride the stationary bike on the sideline and has not been taken to the locker room.

We will provide updates when we learn more.

Georgia is currently leading the Golden Flashes, 39-22, late in the fourth quarter.

UPDATE:

The Bulldogs will travel to SEC foe Missouri (2-2) next Saturday.

The Bulldogs, a 45-point favorite, lead the Golden Flashes 26-13 at halftime

Georgia has committed three turnovers after not losing any in the first three games of the season.

Quarterback Stetson Bennett threw his first interception of the season, and receiver Ladd McConkey muffed a punt and lost a fumble in the first half.

The Bulldog defense has allowed 13 points, the most in a game this season.

Jalon Walker is FAST…

No. 1 Georgia is trying to sharpen things up versus Kent State after a rocky start that included two turnovers in the first quarter.

With Kent State punting from its own end zone, the Bulldogs rushed the punter, and true freshman linebacker Jalon Walker came up with the block that led to a safety.

Brock Bowers AGAIN…

No. 1 Georgia is taking on Kent State in Sanford Stadium.

The Bulldogs lead 7-0 thanks to this 75-yard rush touchdown from tight end Brock Bowers on the Dawgs’ first possession.

Bowers has four touchdowns, two of which have been 70 yards plus, in the last five quarters.
