UGA football drops trailer ahead of Georgia-Oregon game

Hunters, not hunted: UGA starting quarterback Stetson Bennett fires up Georgia Bulldog fans ahead of the season opener against the Oregon Ducks.

Georgia Bulldogs starting quarterback Stetson Bennett is getting Georgia football fans fired up for the return of the Dawgs! Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart made it clear at SEC media days that the Bulldogs would be the hunters and not the hunted in 2022.

Georgia is not afraid to schedule a big-time season opener. The Dawgs face a highly-ranked Oregon team that is one of the favorites to win the Pac-12. Former Georgia Bulldogs defensive coordinator Dan Lanning faces Georgia in his first game as head coach at Oregon. The Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game has a great many story lines entering the contest.

It is Georgia football’s first game since winning the national championship. It is also the dawn of a new era at Oregon. Additionally, the game has College Football Playoff implications. The loser will start the season in a hole and will have minimal margin of error the rest of the way.

Georgia football players have been working all winter, spring, and summer for Sept. 3. It’s a great day to be a Georgia Bulldog!
