Former Vol Kahlil McKenzie drafted by St. Louis.

The United Football League held its super dispersal draft.

Former Vol Kahlil McKenzie was drafted in the seventh-round as an offensive lineman by the St. Louis Battlehawks.

He played for the Vols from 2015-17.

He was a sixth-round selection (No. 198 overall) in the 2018 NFL draft by Kansas City. McKenzie also played for Cincinnati (2020) and Baltimore (2021-22) in the NFL.

He played for the XFL’s Los Angeles Wildcats (2020) and Vegas Vipers (2022).

Players selected in the super dispersal draft will have an opportunity to be amongst 75 roster spots allotted to each team for training camp, which begins Feb. 24 in Arlington, Texas.

The 2024 season is the first for the UFL. The UFL formed after the United States Football League and XFL merged in Nov. 2023.

UFL’s 2024 season will kick off on March 30 between Birmingham (2023 USFL champion) and Arlington (2023 XFL champion). The season will feature eight teams, 40 regular-season games and three postseason contests.

29 ex-Broncos players set to play in UFL this spring

The XFL and USFL merged to form the UFL. The new league will feature 29 former Broncos players, including Super Bowl champion Cody Latimer.

Two more former Denver Broncos were added to the UFL this week when the Memphis Showboats picked wide receiver Damion Willis and the Birmingham Stallions picked safety Alijah Holder in the 2024 dispersal draft. (Update: Holder was later traded to the San Antonio Brahmas.)

More players could be added through free agency, but as of today, there are 29 former Broncos players set to play in the spring league. The UFL was formed in late December when the XFL and USFL merged to create a new combined league.

The most notable ex-Denver player set to suit up in the UFL is Cody Latimer, a former Broncos wide receiver who won Super Bowl 50 in 2016. He has spent time with two other NFL teams and earned All-XFL honors with the Orlando Guardians last spring. Latimer is now a tight end with the San Antonio Brahmas.

Other names that Denver fans might recognize include punter Marquette King and 2022 preseason fan favorite running back Max Borghi. Here’s the full list of ex-Broncos signed up to play in the UFL this spring. The 2024 season will begin in March.

The XFL and USFL merged earlier this year in a much-publicized joining of the two spring leagues, forming the new United Football League (UFL). And quite a few former members of the New Orleans Saints are in the mix with training camp on the horizon.

As part of that reorganization some teams were dissolved, with their players being made available in a multi-phase super draft for the remaining squads. And after all the picks were turned in, a baker’s dozen of former Saints players found themselves either on new teams or surrounded by new teammates.

Seven teams in the UFL have former Dolphins on the roster for this upcoming season, including WR Preston Williams.

With the NFL season wrapping up in the next month, eyes will be moving toward other levels of professional football being played during the offseason.

The USFL and XFL recently merged to create the UFL which will play its games in the coming months, and the league recently released their rosters ahead of the season.

Miami Dolphins fans can continue supporting former Dolphins, as 34 players who once donned the aqua and orange for at least a bit.

The United Football League held its second-round player dispersal process on Monday.

Players selected will have an opportunity to be amongst 75 roster spots allotted to each team for training camp, which begins Feb. 24 in Arlington, Texas.

Dormady played for the Vols from 2015-17. He appeared in 16 games at Tennessee, completing 100-of-176 passing attempts for 1,282 yards, seven touchdowns and six interceptions.

4 ex-Giants selected in the 2024 UFL super draft

The newly-created UFL held their 2024 super draft on Monday and four former members of the New York Giants were among those selected.

Following the merger of five XFL teams and three USFL teams to form the United Football League (UFL), a dispersal draft was held in early January.

During Phase 1 and Phase 2, players from the remaining teams who were not a part of the official merger were pooled together and an allocation process began.

All remaining USFL and XFL players, as well as free agents who recently signed with the league, were made available again on Monday as part of the first-ever UFL super draft.

Phase 3 saw four former members of the New York Giants selected.

Former Tennessee running back Tiyon Evans will play for the Houston Roughnecks in the United Football League during the 2024 season.

Evans played for the Vols in 2021 under head coach Josh Heupel.

He totaled 81 rushing attempts for 525 yards and six touchdowns in 2021 at Tennessee before transferring to Louisville.

In his debut for the Vols, Evans recorded 120 rushing yards and one touchdown against Bowling Green.

Former Tennessee wide receiver Preston Williams will play for the DC Defenders in the United Football League during the 2024 season.

Williams played for the Vols from 2016-17 under head coach Butch Jones.

Williams played in 12 games, including three starts at Tennessee. He totaled 16 receptions for 247 yards and two touchdowns before transferring to Colorado State.

Marcus Tatum to play for Houston in 2024

Former Vol Marcus Tatum to play for Houston in 2024.

Former Tennessee offensive tackle Marcus Tatum will play for the Houston Roughnecks in the United Football League in 2024.

Tatum played for the Vols from 2016-19 under head coaches Butch Jones and Jeremy Pruitt.

During his final season at Tennessee, he made seven consecutive starts on the offensive line. Tatum appeared in 12 games, including five starts, for the Vols in 2018.

He started against Kentucky in the Vols, 24-7, victory. Tennessee totaled 215 rushing yards and 412 total yards against the Wildcats.

In 2017, Tatum appeared in four games, including two starts.

Bryce Thompson to play for San Antonio in 2024

Former Vol Bryce Thompson to play for San Antonio in 2024.

Former Tennessee defensive back Bryce Thompson will play for the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League in 2024.

Thompson played for the Vols from 2018-20 under head coach Jeremy Pruitt.

Thompson played in 32 career games at Tennessee, including 28 starts. He recorded eight interceptions, 102 tackles, eight tackles for a loss and two forced fumbles.

The 2024 season is the first for the UFL. The UFL formed after the United States Football League and XFL merged in Nov. 2023.
