UFC 270: Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 270 odds and lines between Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a heavyweight title fight in the main event, Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane meet Saturday at UFC 270 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Below, we analyze the UFC 270: Ngannou vs. Gane odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The early prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET, the prelims can be viewed on ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m. ET, with the main card starting at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view.

Ngannou dumped Stipe Miocic in a rematch title fight at UFC 260 in March 2021 to secure the heavyweight strap for the first time. Now, he looks to retain that belt and keep the French challenger and interim champ Gane from swiping it and making things official.

Ngannou has won five consecutive fights via KO/TKO, including four in the first round. His win over Stipe came in the second round. He has seven finishes, all via knockout, in the previous nine events, and he has ended up going the distance just twice in 13 bouts at the UFC level.

Three months after his win against Miocic, Ngannou was asked to fight and he declared he wouldn’t be ready. So, Gane stepped in and beat Derrick Lewis to be named interim heavyweight champ.

Now, these former sparring partners will fight each other in one of the most intriguing fights in quite some time. Gane knocked out Lewis at UFC 265, but three of his past five fights have gone the distance.

UFC 270 Ngannou vs. Gane: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Ngannou (16-3-0) | Gane (10-0-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

NGANNOU (+120) enters this bout with a huge chip on his shoulder. He has been involved in a contract dispute with the UFC, and he ghosted Gane and his former coach backstage at UFC 268.

This is a strange place for Ngannou. He is fighting his former sparring partner. He is angry about his contract situation, and he has made no bones about the fact he’d like to make a switch to boxing. His contract states that if he wins Saturday, he’ll need to fight at least one more time at the UFC level.

So, what desire is stronger?

Ngannou beating his rival, and his former coach, who is now in Gane’s corner? I think Ngannou snags the belt he feels is rightfully his, putting off his boxing ambitions for at least one more year.

Over/Under (O/U)

NGANNOU BY TKO/KO (+155) is the play. When he wins, it’s with a knockout, and it comes in rather short order. Gane knows the Cameroonian fighter well, and won’t go quietly.

Make two bets here: NGANNOU IN ROUND 2 (+750) and NGANNOU IN ROUND 3 (+1300). If he wins in one of the two rounds, sure, you’ll lose one, but you’ll still be well ahead by winning the other.

I like the round-block betting and method of victory wagers much better than the more expensive, and simple, No (-290): Fight to go the distance bet.

UFC 270: Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueiredo odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 270 odds and lines between Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueiredo, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a flyweight title fight on the main card, Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo meet Saturday at UFC 270 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Below, we analyze the UFC 270: Moreno vs. Figueiredo odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The early prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET, the prelims can be viewed on ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m. ET, with the main card starting at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view.

This will be Moreno-Figueiredo III. They fought to a majority draw at UFC 256 in December 2020, and Moreno submitted Figueiredo at UFC 263 in June 2021. That was the first submission loss of Figueiredo’s career.

Moreno has ended up going the distance in six of his past eight fights at the UFC level, but he has the submission win over Figueiredo last time out. He claimed a KO/TKO win over Brandon Royval at UFC 255, just over three weeks before his first fight with Figueiredo. So, Moreno can get his arm raised in a number of ways.

Figueiredo, a.k.a. “Deus da Guerra,” suffered just the second loss of his pro career in that submission loss to Moreno. Figueiredo’s only other loss was a unanimous-decision setback to Jussier Formiga back in March 2019.

When Figueiredo wins, he is usually doing work on the canvas, posting submission wins in three of his past six fights. That’s why it was surprising when Moreno turned the tables on him last time out.

UFC 270 Moreno vs. Figueiredo: Odds and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 5:58 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Moreno -180 (bet $180 to win $100) | Figueiredo +140 (bet $100 to win $140)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes +115 | No -160)

UFC 270 Moreno vs. Figueiredo: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Moreno (19-5-2) | Figueiredo (20-2-1)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

FIGUEIREDO (+140) is going to win this one, and we might end up seeing a fourth installment of this rivalry as a result.

The 34-year-old flyweight might be a bit reluctant to get to the canvas after Moreno surprisingly submitted him last time out. However, the mat is where Figueiredo does his best work. He submitted Alex Perez and Joseph Benavidez in consecutive fights in 2020 for the belt. He also has a submission win over Tim Elliott.

Figueiredo’s specialty is the arm triangle or guillotine. I like him to get it done on the ground, perhaps setting up a fourth fight between these rivals down the road.

Over/Under (O/U)

FIGUEIREDO BY SUBMISSION (+900) is worth a roll of the dice. His specialty is getting it done on the canvas. You can multiply your initial wager times nine if he gets it done in the ground and pound.

Backing NO -160: FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE is also a worthwhile play, while also playing the challenger in round betting.

Take FIGUEIREDO IN ROUND 2 (+1400), FIGUEIREDO IN ROUND 3 (+2000) and FIGUEIREDO IN ROUND 4 (+2500) in a three-round block. If Figueiredo pulls off the upset inside the distance in Rounds 2-4, you will lose two of the bets, however, you’ll also be very, very far ahead.

UFC 270: Michel Pereira vs. Andre Fialho odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 270 odds and lines between Michel Pereira vs. Andre Fialho, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a welterweight bout on the main card, Michel Pereira and Andre Fialho meet Saturday at UFC 270 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Below, we analyze the UFC 270: Pereira vs. Fialho odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The early prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET, the prelims can be viewed on ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m. ET, with the main card starting at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view.

Pereira, a.k.a. “Demolidor,” takes the walk to the octagon with a three-bout win streak in tow. He’s coming off back-to-back unanimous-decision victories, defeating Khaos Williams in December 2020 and Niko Price in July 2021.

Fialho will be making his UFC debut. He enters on a three-bout win streak, including four straight KO/TKO victories at ADW: UAE Warriors 20, 22 and 24. He posted a 4-1 record at the Bellator level, so he is not a stranger to big fights. He recorded a win over MMA veteran James Vick at XMMA in January 2021, too.

UFC 270 Pereira vs. Fialho: Odds and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 5:39 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Pereira -290 (bet $290 to win $100) | Fialho +220 (bet $100 to win $220)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes +150 | No -210)

UFC 270 Pereira vs. Fialho: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Pereira (26-11-0) | Fialho (14-3-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Pereira (-290) will cost you nearly three times your potential return. That’s just too costly, especially against a newcomer excited to be making his UFC debut.

AVOID.

Over/Under (O/U)

Fialho is a punch machine, while Pereira doesn’t get a lot of finishes. But the latter is polished, and he knows how to get it done and give the judges what they want to see.

PEREIRA BY POINTS (+215) is the most attractive play in method of victory, while BETTING YES (+150): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE is also a very attractive play.
