UFC 263 Figueiredo vs. Moreno: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Figueiredo 20-1-1 | Moreno 18-5-2

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

It’s a rematch of a thrilling draw back at UFC 256 Dec. 12, 2020, at the UFC’s APEX Facility. It was a rare fight to go the distance for the champ Figueiredo (-200), who had four consecutive stoppages before that outing.

Figueiredo actually needed to go to the hospital after that fight due to severe bruising, and he didn’t speak publicly after the fight. Moreno will get another chance to become the first Mexican-born champ in UFC history. He might have done it the first time, but a low blow slowed him in the first fight.

MORENO (+165) is a good bet as a healthy underdog as he proved he can more than hang with Figueiredo, who retained his strap by a thread last time out.

Moreno is 4-0-2 across the past six bouts with two KO/TKO wins, two draws and two unanimous-decision victories.

Over/Under (O/U)

It will be hard for these two combatants to match the slugfest we saw the first time these two got together. But you can expect another brawl between the flyweights. They’re both tremendous in an upright fight, and they can handle themselves with aplomb on the mat, too.

I really like YES (+120): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? in this one. We won’t get a draw like last time, but these two fighters have a ton of heart and will take a considerable beating again in this rematch. In the end, Moreno will make history, and taking MORENO ON POINTS (+333) represents a good chance to triple up if get his arm raised.

OVER 4.5 ROUNDS (+105) is also a good play at near even-money if you don’t want to specify a winner and are not expecting a stoppage.

UFC 263: Israel Adesanya vs. Marvin Vettori odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s UFC 263 fight between Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori, with MMA odds, picks, tips and predictions.

In a middleweight title bout in Saturday’s co-main event, Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori meet at UFC 263 at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. Below, we analyze the UFC 263 Adesanya vs. Vettori odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The early prelims kick off at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN/ESPN+, with the prelims starting at 8 p.m. ET, and the main card beginning at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view.

UFC 263 Adesanya vs. Vettori: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:59 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Adesanya -275 (bet $275 to win $100) | Vettori +210 (bet $100 to win $210)
  • Over/Under: 4.5 rounds (Over -140 | Under +115)

UFC 263 Adesanya vs. Vettori: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Adesanya 20-1-0 | Vettori 17-4-1

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

As is the theme on this fight card, we get another rematch. However, Adesanya (-275) and Vettori (+210) haven’t fought since April 14, 2018, a split decision in favor of “The Last Stylebender”.

Adesanya won that night via split-decision, and he’ll get it done in his return to the middleweight division.

Adesanya lost the light heavyweight strap to Jan Blachowicz last time out at UFC 259 via unanimous decision. It was his first loss in 21 professional bouts, including nine at the UFC level.

Look for ADESANYA BY KO/TKO, DQ OR SUBMISSION (+175) on the 5-way line to cash. He is hungry, and he holds a six-inch reach advantage which will keep Vettori at a distance.

As long as Adesanya can avoid going down to the canvas, where Vettori holds a slight advantage, he’ll keep his middleweight belt.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

This fight is not going the distance. I like NO +110: WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? for a decent value at plus-money.

In fact, I like UNDER 3.5 ROUNDS (+145) for a small-unit play, as I think Adesanya comes out on a mission after his first-ever loss as a pro.

Playing ADESANYA IN ROUND 3 (+1000) and ADESANYA IN ROUND 4 (+1800) in a two-round betting block will pay off handsomely if he can drop “The Italian Dream” in either Round 3 or 4. Yes, you’ll lose one end, but still, be very far ahead.

UFC 263: Demian Maia vs. Belal Muhammad odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s UFC 263 fight between Demian Maia and Belal Muhammad, with MMA odds, picks, tips and predictions.

In a welterweight bout on Saturday’s main card, Demian Maia and Belal Muhammad meet at UFC 263 at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. Below, we analyze the UFC 263 Maia vs. Muhammad odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The early prelims kick off at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN/ESPN+, with the prelims starting at 8 p.m. ET, and the main card beginning at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view.

UFC 263 Maia vs. Muhammad: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:55 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Maia +190 (bet $100 to win $190) | Muhammad -225 (bet $225 to win $100)
  • Over/Under: 2.5 rounds (Over -175 | Under +145)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes -150 | No +125)

UFC 263 Maia vs. Muhammad: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Maia 28-10-0 | Muhammad 18-3-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Muhammad (-225) is on a mission heading into this bout against Maia (+190). The Palestinian’s most recent fight ended at UFC Fight Night 187 when Leon Edwards inadvertently poked Muhammad in the right eye. It was a rather severe injury with blood seeping out, as well as immediate swelling. “Remember the Name” actually wept a bit, too.

While Muhammad was quite disappointed not to get a rematch with Edwards, and this card would have been great for a redemption fight, expect him to come out angry against Maia.

I love MUHAMMAD BY KO/TKO, DQ OR SUBMISSION (+280) on the 5-way line for a chance to potentially triple up.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

This fight isn’t going to go the distance. Therefore I really like NO (+125): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? at plus money. Muhammad is on a mission, and you can expect Maia to eat plenty of elbows early on.

UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (+145) is also worth a roll of the dice, as if Muhammad gets the finish it will be in one of the first two rounds. As such, taking MUHAMMAD IN ROUND 1 (+600) and MUHAMMAD IN ROUND 2 (+850) is a good play. You’ll lose one side in this two-round block, even if Muhammad wins in one of the first two rounds via stoppage, but you’ll still be quite a bit ahead.

UFC 263: Leon Edwards vs. Nate Diaz odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s UFC 263 fight between Leon Edwards and Nate Diaz, with MMA odds, picks, tips and predictions.

In a welterweight bout on Saturday’s main card, Leon Edwards and Nate Diaz meet at UFC 263 at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. Below, we analyze the UFC 263 Edwards vs. Diaz odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The early prelims kick off at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN/ESPN+, with the prelims starting at 8 p.m. ET, and the main card beginning at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view.

UFC 263 Edwards vs. Diaz: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:49 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Edwards -550 (bet $550 to win $100) | Diaz +400 (bet $100 to win $400)
  • Over/Under: 3.5 rounds (Over -120 | Under +100)

UFC 263 Edwards vs. Diaz: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Edwards 18-3-0 | Diaz 21-12-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Edwards (-550) was involved in a no contest last time out against Belal Muhammad, accidentally poking his opponent in the right eye while causing severe damage.

The bout was waved off, which was a huge disappointment. The No. 4 fighter in the division had a chance to scoot up the rankings and toward a title shot if he had picked up a win.

As such, he is heavily favored to beat the veteran Diaz, and he’ll do just that. Still, you cannot risk five and a half times your potential return, so let’s get specific.

Edwards had gone the distance in five of his previous six bouts prior to the Muhammad no contests, including two five-round decisions.

Play EDWARDS ON POINTS (+130) in the round betting section for the best bet.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

As mentioned above, Edwards went the distance in five of his six fights prior to the Muhammad fight. Four of Diaz’s past six fights also ended up going the distance, including a unanimous-decision win over Anthony Pettis at UFC 241.

Diaz hasn’t fought since UFC 244, as he needed 25 stitches to close a severe gash above and below his eye after a TKO – doctor’s stoppage against Jorge Masvidal on Nov. 2, 2019. That’s the last time we saw Diaz.

Diaz will likely have a bit of a feeling-out process, as he tries to get his legs under him. There could be a rust factor, but he is a veteran who understands how to adjust. He’ll give Edwards all he can handle before falling by decision.

As such, YES (+120): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? is a value play, and OVER 4.5 ROUNDS (+110) isn’t a bad play if you want a little wiggle room.

UFC 263: Paul Craig vs. Jamahal Hill odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s UFC 263 fight between Paul Craig and Jamahal Hill, with MMA odds, picks, tips and predictions.

In a light heavyweight bout on Saturday’s main card, Paul Craig and Jamahal Hill meet at UFC 263 at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. Below, we analyze the UFC 263 Craig vs. Hill odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The early prelims kick off at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN/ESPN+, with the prelims starting at 8 p.m. ET, and the main card beginning at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view.

UFC 263 Craig vs. Hill: Odds, spread and lines

UFC 263 Craig vs. Hill: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Craig 14-4-1 | Hill 8-0-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Hill (-275) heads into this one as a decisive favorite, and he holds the physical advantages. He is one inch taller than his counterpart, and he’ll try to use his three-inch reach advantage to keep the Scottish fighter at arm’s length.

Hill is also a punching machine posting 7.90 significant strikes landed per minute to just 2.40 for Craig at the UFC level. As long as Hill can keep the fight upright, and not go to the mat where Craig can be effective, the American will win. However, you cannot risk nearly three times your potential return.

Instead, get specific. Craig has been knocked out three times at the UFC level, and Saturday will be No. 4. Take HILL BY KO/TKO OR DQ (+110) on the 7-way line for a much better value than just playing him straight up.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

No (-275): Will the fight go the distance? is just too expensive. Instead, play UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (-225), although that’s a little on the pricey side, too.

I also like a two-round block with HILL IN ROUND 2 (+400) and HILL IN ROUND 3 (+700). You’ll lose one end of the bet, even if Hill wins in Round 2 or 3, but you’ll still be well ahead when it hits.

UFC 263 Dober vs. Riddell: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Dober 23-10-0 | Riddell 9-1-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

DOBER (-150) is the play in this one, and he will be champing at the bit to get into the octagon after a third-round submission loss to Islam Makhachev last time out at UFC 259.

Before that fight, Dober had three straight KO/TKO wins over Alexander Hernandez, Nasrat Haqparast and Polo Reyes – including two Round 1 wins.

Riddell is a perfect 3-for-3 since landing in the UFC, including a unanimous-decision win over Alex Da Silva at UFC 253 in his most recent bout. Still, facing a veteran like Dober will be his biggest test yet. While he is unbeaten in the UFC, the Kiwi has gone the distance all three times – including a narrow split-decision win over Magomed Mustafaev. Dober will end up handing Riddell his first loss, and a stoppage is likely.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

Playing NO (+125): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? is a value play, as I expect Dober to get the finish. UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (+140) is also worth playing lightly.

In addition, DOBER BY KO/TKO, DQ OR SUBMISSION (+300) on the 5-way line offers an opportunity to triple up, and that’s always nice.

UFC 263: Eryk Anders vs. Darren Stewart odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s UFC 263 fight between Eryk Anders and Darren Stewart, with MMA odds, picks, tips and predictions.

In a light heavyweight bout on Saturday’s preliminary card, Eryk Anders and Darren Stewart meet at UFC 263 at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. Below, we analyze the UFC 263 Anders vs. Stewart odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

UFC 263 Anders vs. Stewart: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Anders 13-5-0 | Stewart 12-6-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

ANDERS (-150) is a moderate favorite in what is sure to be a rather close fight as both combatants bump up to the 205-pound weight. The southpaw holds advantages by one inch in both height and reach. He also has a slight 3.23-to-3.09 advantage in significant strikes landed per minute. He also has a small lead in the takedown average department.

This is a rematch of a fight March 13, which was declared a no-contest when Anders used an illegal knee to strike Stewart, and the latter was declared unfit to continue. As a result, the bout was waved off.

Anders was rolling in the fight, which was in the middleweight division, and he potentially could have even gotten a stoppage before the no-contest. That’s likely a reason he is favored so much in this one.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

Before his no-decision against Stewart, Anders went the distance in four of his five previous fights. The only exception was a KO/TKO win over Vinicius Moreira June 29, 2019.

For Stewart, he had gone the distance in five of his previous six outings before the ND vs. Anders. Playing YES (-120): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? is the way to go here. If you want a little wiggle room, in the event of a potential late Round 3 finish, OVER 2.5 ROUNDS (-155) isn’t terribly out of line.

I also really like ANDERS ON POINTS (+240) for a chance to more than double up. In fact, that might be the best play on the board.

UFC 263 Murphy vs. Calderwood: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Murphy 14-4-0 | Calderwood 15-5-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

CALDERWOOD (-135) is the slight favorite here despite the fact she has alternated wins and losses in her past four fights, and she is just 4-4 across her past eight fights at the UFC level.

Still, Calderwood has fought the best in the division, and she is coming off an impressive unanimous-decision victory over Jessica Eye last time out at UFC 257.

For Murphy, she enters on a four-game win streak, but really only the win over Roxanne Modafferi was impressive. She is coming off a submission win over Liliya Shakirova at UFC 254 last time out, but Calderwood is a huge step up in competition.

Calderwood has 6.59 significant strikes landed per minute to just 3.80 for Murphy, and she is more accurate with the strikes. She also leads the takedown and submission average categories, too.

Over/Under (O/U)

This fight is expected to go the distance. In fact, Yes (-300): Will the fight go the distance? will cost you three times your potential return. That’s just too expensive. Instead, get more specific.

CALDERWOOD ON POINTS (+120) is a much better play at plus-money. Murphy will be able to hang in there and get to the decision, but she’ll be on the wrong side. Calderwood will impress the judges with her punching power and frequency.

DAWODU (+195) is a better value with a chance to nearly double up. He has won each of his past five bouts, with four going the distance, after losing by submission in his UFC debut March 17, 2018. His last fight was a split-decision win over Zubaira Tukhugov at UFC 253.

The Over/Under on the total number of rounds is a tad bit expensive, but OVER 2.5 ROUNDS (-250) is the way to go. The best bet is YES (-225): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? It seems like a certainty based upon both fighters and their lack of ability to finish since arriving at the UFC level.

The best bet, and biggest chance to win money in this bout, is playing DAWODU ON POINTS (+375). When he pulls the upset, it will be thanks to the judges and their decision, not due to a stoppage.
