Noah Lyles hilariously trolled Tyreek Hill by acting like he forgot who the NFL star was during an interview

Noah Lyles is such a troll. It’s great.

Noah Lyles continues his tour of becoming the most hated man in sports. He’s collecting enemies from across leagues like Thanos collected the Infinity Stones. It’s crazy.

Today’s new enemy is Tyreek Hill, who foolishly claimed he could beat Lyles in a race after the gold medalist said that Super Bowl winners are technically not “world champions.”

Hill was very clearly annoyed by that. He said Lyles should “speak on what you know and that’s track.”

He’s right. That is track. You know what it’s definitely not? Tyreek Hill. Lyles acted like he didn’t know the guy during and interview.

“What’s the cheetah guy from football? I can’t remember his name,” Lyles said. He even asked a friend who the “guy who thinks he’s fast” from football is before being reminded that it’s, indeed, Tyreek Hill.

Obviously, Lyles is being facetious here. He knows Hill well enough to know about his Cheetah nickname. He’s obviously just poking at him again here, which is what Lyles has become surprisingly good at.

NBA players hate the guy so much that some players and fans were legitimately rooting against Lyles during his runs in the Olympics.

I guess we can add Hill to that list officially now. We’ll see who he antagonizes next. Somebody tell Aaron Judge to watch out — Noah Lyles is coming.

Tyreek Hill calls out Noah Lyles for ‘horseradish’ COVID diagnosis

Tyreek Hill says Noah Lyles pretended to be sick at the Olympics and he says he’d beat the gold medalist in a race.

Evidently, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill wasn’t too impressed with Noah Lyles’ gold-medal winning showing at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

While he posted his congratulations to Lyles after the track star won in the 100 meters, Hill didn’t think much of the runner’s third place finish in the 200 meters which was followed by the reveal of a COVID diagnosis.

Hill was asked Monday about Lyles’ controversial statement that NBA Finals winners shouldn’t call themselves “world champions.”

“Noah Lyles can’t say nothing after what happened to him,” Hill told Kay Adams of Up & Adams. “Then he wants to come out and pretend like he’s sick. I feel like that’s like horseradish. For him to do that and say that we’re not world champions of our sport — come on, bruh, just speak on what you know about and that’s track.”

Then Hill upped the ante.

“I would beat Noah Lyles [in a race],” Hill told Adams. “I would beat Noah Lyles. I wouldn’t beat him by a lot, but I’d beat Noah Lyles. And guess what, when I beat him, I’ll put on a COVID mask and let him know I mean business.”

Does Hill really believe he’d beat Lyles — the newly anointed “fastest man on the planet” — in a race? Probably not. Stirring the pot is Hill’s specialty and his best ever time in the 100 meters wouldn’t be enough to earn a spot in the Olympic final, let alone keep up with Lyles’ gold-medal winning 9.79-second run.

That didn’t stop Hill from fueling the fire Monday afternoon, though.

Don’t count on a Lyles vs. Hill race actually happening anytime soon?

Tyreek Hill foolishly claimed he would beat Noah Lyles in a race after hearing the gold medalist’s Super Bowl remarks

Did Tyreek Hill forget who won the 100m?

Tyreek Hill is probably the fastest player in the NFL. That’s undeniable. But when it comes to Olympic sprinters, nobody is scared of Hill’s speed — especially not Noah Lyles.

That’s what made Hill’s comments on Monday extra strange when discussing the Olympic gold medalist’s criticism of American sports leagues calling themselves “world champions.”

In an interview with Kay Adams, Hill was asked for his response to Lyles — who left Paris with a gold medal in the men’s 100m and a bronze medal in the men’s 200m. In his response, though, it became clear that Hill forgot that Lyles won gold in the Olympics’ marquee event and went on to claim that he would beat Lyles in a race.

He said:

“Noah Lyles can’t say nothing after what just happened to him. … For him to do that and say we’re not world champions of our sport. Like, come on, bruh. Just speak on what you know about and that’s track.”

Hill then said that he would beat Lyles in a race.

Again, Lyles absolutely can say something as the Olympic champion in the 100m. It seemed like Hill was focused on what happened in the 200m, but the event that Lyles won gold in earned him the title as world’s fastest man.

Plus, if you’re looking at the numbers, Lyles’ time in Paris has Hill’s best 100m time beat by nearly half a second. Lyles even bested Hill’s wind-aided time of 9.98.

It’s a race that Hill doesn’t want to actually happen.

Andy Reid gives grim update after ‘Hollywood’ Brown injury vs. Jaguars

Andy Reid gave reporters an update on ‘Hollywood’ Brown’s status after the #Chiefs’ loss to the #Jaguars. | @EdEastonJr

The Kansas City Chiefs lost more than their preseason opener on Saturday to the Jacksonville Jaguars as head coach Andy Reid confirmed one of their fears from the exhibition.

Reid addressed the media after the game in Jacksonville, providing an update on Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown’s health status.

“Hollywood Brown has that same thing that Tyreek (Hill) had down here, actually, the sternoclavicular joint dislocation,” said Reid. “They’ve taken him to the hospital; they’ll check him out; they’re working on that as we speak.”

Brown sustained the shoulder injury in the first quarter of Saturday night’s 26-13 loss in Jacksonville. He was initially ruled as questionable to return to the game by the Chiefs staff, but he was likely to sit out following the opening series with the rest of the starters.

The Chiefs lost then-wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the same diagnosed shoulder injury for four games in 2019 after he went down to the Jaguars in the regular season opener. Kansas City would eventually win the Super Bowl that season for the first time in 50 years, with Hill still serving as an essential contributor when he returned from the injury.

There are signs of optimism that Brown won’t miss much time in the regular season since it’s still August, but it is far too early to assume his recovery timetable.

Tyreek Hill announced his new deal with the Dolphins with a perfect 4-word tweet

Tyreek Hill just got paid, y’all.

Arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL is staying with his current team for at least a few more seasons.

According to multiple reports on Saturday, Tyreek Hill agreed to a restructured deal with the Miami Dolphins worth $90 million over the next three years that will pay him a guaranteed amount of $65 million. The new contract gives Hill the most fully guaranteed money for a wide receiver in NFL history, according to ESPN.

Hill, who was recently named No. 1 on the NFL’s Top 100 list, confirmed the news with brief but appropriate post on X:

Hill is coming off a season where he led the NFL in receiving yards (1,799) and touchdowns (13) and was voted First Team All-Pro for the fifth time in his eight-year career. The 30-year-old product of Douglas, Georgia finished sixth in MVP voting and second in Offensive Player of the Year voting. Among all active players, he’s fifth in receiving touchdowns with 76 in his career.

Last month, the Dolphins and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa agreed to a contract extension. With Tagovailoa and Hill locked down for the next few years, Miami should have a powerful offense for the foreseeable future, but will the duo be enough for the Dolphins to win big?

Tyreek Hill grabs three-year, $90 million deal with Dolphins

The Dolphins showed Tyreek Hill they appreciate the wideout

The Fish went fishing on Saturday and caught their star receiver with a big deal. Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins agreed on a three-year contract worth $90 million. There is $65 million guaranteed added on to his existing contract.

Hill was just named the No. 1 player in the NFL’s top 100. Last season, he caught 119 passes for a league-leading 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 games.

Hill had 119 receptions for 1,710 yards in 2022, his first season with Miami after spending six years with the Chiefs/

Tyreek Hill, Dolphins agree to restructured 3-year contract

Tyreek Hill says his new deal with the Dolphins means he’s officially “here to stay.”

The Miami Dolphins agreed to a restructured contract with star wide receiver Tyreek Hill that will pay him $90 million over the next three years with $65 million guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

No new years were added on to the contract, per the report, so Hill is still due to become a free agent after the 2026 season. He isn’t planning on leaving any time soon (or ever), though.

Hill, 30, received an extension from the Dolphins in 2022 after he was acquired in a trade from the Kansas City Chiefs. The remainder of the deal was cumbersome for the Dolphins with more than $120 million in salary cap hits over the next three years.

The contract also fell off market value for Hill with the majority of the guaranteed money already in the rear view mirror and several wide receivers in the NFL signing new deals during the 2024 offseason.

On Friday, Hill was revealed as the No. 1 player on the annual NFL Top 100 list, as voted on by his peers.

In 2023, Hill became the first player in NFL history to eclipse 1,700 receiving yards in two seasons during their career. Both of his 1,700-yard seasons came in his time with the Dolphins.

Watch: Tyreek Hill reacts to being named No. 1 on NFL Top 100

Tyreek Hill was more than a little excited when Raheem Mostert broke the news.

It’s safe to say Tyreek Hill was more than a little excited when he learned the news that he was voted the No. 1 player in the NFL by his peers.

On Friday night, NFL Network revealed the final 10 players on their annual NFL Top 100 list, which is exclusively voted on by players. The Miami Dolphins speed threat became the first ever wide receiver to earn the top spot.

It was Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert who got to break the news to Hill:

After celebrating with Mostert, Hill got out his phone to let him mom hear the news. And he reminded both her and the audience that he called his shot back in 2017 when he was fresh off his rookie season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

At that point in his career, Hill was primarily a returner, earning All-Pro honors at the position but recording only 593 receiving yards. Since then, Hill has emerged as one of the league’s most dangerous offensive weapons and has eclipsed 1,700 receiving yards in each of his two seasons with the Dolphins.

Controversial: Former Chief earns No. 1 spot on ‘NFL 100’ list

A former #Chiefs star took the top spot on the ‘NFL 100’ list ahead of the 2024 season.

The Kansas City Chiefs have hosted some exceptionally talented players over the years, and have plenty of impressive contributors on their roster ahead of the NFL’s 2024 season.

Three current members of Kansas City’s roster were featured in the top 10 of the ‘NFL 100’ television program on Friday night. Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, and Patrick Mahomes took the No. 9, No. 6, and No. 4 spots respectively.

But at the show’s conclusion, it was former Chiefs star Tyreek Hill who sat alone at the top of the ‘NFL 100′ list, despite the Miami Dolphins’ brutal loss to Kansas City in the AFC playoffs earlier this year.

Though Hill certainly deserved to be ranked among the league’s top players, fans and members of the media pointed out that Mahomes was the logical selection for the No. 1 spot in posts to social media on Friday night.

Expect this development to put a chip on Mahomes’ shoulder ahead of the Chiefs’ championship defense campaign next season.

Tyreek Hill spent the night responding to haters after getting No. 1 in NFL Top 100 players of 2024 over Patrick Mahomes

Tyreek Hill over Patrick Mahomes? Really?

We all know that Patrick Mahomes probably deserves the No. 1 spot when it comes to best players in the NFL, right?

Dude is unstoppable, plays the most important position on the best team, etc etc. But the players vote on the NFL’s Top 100 players of 2024, and this year, it was Mahomes’ former teammate Tyreek Hill who was No. 1. And don’t get me wrong! Hill is amazing. But not No. 1!

While everyone on social media objected, Hill sat back and let his fingers do the talking, as he posted on X (formerly Twitter) with responses to all the hate he got.

Here’s a sampling:
