Fans and players went crazy when the Dolphins traded for Tyreek Hill

The Twitter world went crazy.

The Miami Dolphins have had a massive 24 hours acquiring new talent.

First, on Tuesday, they signed the top left tackle on the free agent market, Terron Armstead, to a five-year deal to fill what was arguably the team’s biggest need. Then, not even a day later, the Dolphins completed a massive trade that sent five draft picks to the Kansas City Chiefs for wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

After the deal was agreed to, Hill received a new four-year extension that will pay him $120 million and $72.2 million guaranteed.

Fans (and members of the Dolphins) took to social media to react to the news.

Dolphins to acquire Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill for five draft picks

Miami makes another huge splash.

The Miami Dolphins have made a number of moves this offseason with the hopes of improving their team for the future.

On Tuesday, general manager Chris Grier made a huge splash by signing left tackle Terron Armstead, one of the top free agents to fill an extremely large hole on Miami’s offensive line.

Now, less than a day later, the Dolphins, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, are trading for wide receiver Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs. In return, the Chiefs receive the No. 29 pick from this year, No. 50 and a fourth-round pick as well as a fourth and a sixth in 2023.

Hill, 28, will also receive a new contract. In another tweet, Schefter also reported that Hill will get a four-year deal that will pay $120 million with $72.2 million guaranteed.

Dolphins in ‘serious talks’ on trade for Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill

Talk about putting your quarterback in a good situation.

The Miami Dolphins have had an impressive offseason to this point, as they’ve re-signed their top free agent in Emmanuel Ogbah and grabbed free agent at their biggest position of need in Terron Armstead.

However, the Dolphins don’t appear to be done.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Miami Dolphins are one of two AFC East teams, the other being the New York Jets, involved in trade conversations with the Kansas City Chiefs for wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Hill, 28, is under contract for just the 2022 season and has a cap hit of $21 million. However, a team trading for the wide receiver could obviously give him an extension to lower the hit.

The Dolphins have No. 29 this year and two first-round picks in 2023 that could be used in a trade package that could pair Hill with Jaylen Waddle and really take this offense to the next level.
