The Tulsa Golden Hurricane (1-0) and the Washington Huskies (1-0) meet Saturday at Husky Stadium in Seattle. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET (PAC-12 Network). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Tulsa vs. Washington odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Tulsa roughed up Arkansas-Pine Bluff of the FCS at Skelly Field last Saturday in the season opener, piling up 517 total yards of offense to just 252 for the Golden Lions. The Golden Hurricane did trail 7-0 into the 2nd quarter before rattling off 42 unanswered points for the 42-7 victory. Tulsa won despite a minus-2 turnover ratio, too, something it must clean up in Seattle.

Washington thumped Boise State 56-19, as QB Michael Penix Jr. threw for 450 yards and 5 TDs in the rout. Like Tulsa, UW was scoreless in the 1st quarter last week, trailing 6-0 heading to the 2nd quarter. It also trailed 9-7 with just under 8 minutes to go before the offense came alive.

The Huskies managed 568 total yards of offense, mostly through the air, while winning the turnover battle 2-0. If there is an area of concern, Washington was just 4 of 10 on 3rd-down efficiency.

Washington is No. 8 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.

Tulsa at Washington picks and predictions

Prediction

Washington 51, Tulsa 17

Moneyline

Nothing to see here, move along.

Against the spread

TULSA +34.5 (-110) is catching an awful lot of points in this battle in Seattle. Washington -34.5 (-110) routed Boise State last week, but Tulsa has the offensive weapons, especially through the air, to make a little noise in this game. That’s assuming the Golden Hurricane can rectify the turnover situation from a week ago.

Washington’s Penix Jr. is one of the best signal callers in the nation, and the Huskies will roll up big numbers again through the air. But I expect a backdoor cover with a late Tulsa score to make things look a little more respectable.

Over/Under

OVER 65.5 (-110) is the lean, but go lightly.

Like the line, I believe the total will be flipped with a late score by Tulsa. While the result of the game won’t be close to changing, the score will be far from meaningless, and could even be a bad beat, which we saw frequently already in Week 1.

Tulsa scored 42 points, although it hit the Under against its FCS opponent. Washington nearly took care of the Over itself last week, and will do a lot of the heavy lifting here to get this one across the finish line, too.
