Twitter reacts to Tua Tagovailoa’s Instagram workout video

Former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is inching closer to being 100 percent for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Tua Tagovailoa is still working his way back from a season-ending hip injury that, at one time, had people believing could be career-threatening. Not only is the former Alabama back to working out, however, he seems to close to 100 percent.

On Monday night, Tagovailoa posted a workout video to his Instagram account, and the media, as well as fans, was seemingly thrilled to see the progress he had made since the injury that occurred against Mississippi State.

He are some of the best tweets in reaction to the video:

Even Miami Dolphins fans are getting excited, as many took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the team potentially selecting — or not selecting — Tagovailoa.

There is still a lot of work that Tagovailoa needs to make before he will be ready for full contact during a live football game, but he’s making the necessary progress to work his way into being a strong candidate for the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Whether that’s the Dolphins, the Los Angeles Chargers or another team trading up with the Washington Redskins, who currently own that pick, expect the Honolulu (Hawaii) native to hear his name called soon after former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Alabama star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and whether he would be entering the 2020 NFL Draft following a hip injury he suffered against Mississippi State.

Well, Tony Pauline with Pro Football Network is reporting that Tagovailoa is learning towards entering the draft, and the former Heisman Trophy runner-up is telling people that:

Here is what Pauline said about Tagovailoa during an episode of the NFL Draft Insiders podcast, which is through Pro Football Network:

“I am told by people who are close to him [Tagovailoa] that Tagovailoa is telling people that he is very likely to enter the 2020 NFL Draft. This shouldn’t be a surprise – maybe it’s just an affirmation to some people. But I think right now, the chances of him returning to Alabama, from what I’m hearing from people close to him, are very, very slim.”

It will be interesting to see whether or not this actually comes to fruition. It would absolutely make sense considering how much Tagovailoa would be risking returning for his senior season.

During his 32 career games played, which only 23 were games in which he started, Tagovailoa completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 7,442 yards, 87 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions.

The Alabama Crimson Tide walked away from Starkville with a 38-7 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday. Unfortunately, that victory was overshadowed by the injury to star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

With only minutes to go in the first half, Tagovailoa was brought to the ground by two State defenders while throwing the ball away. The collision caused what is being reported as a hip injury to the Honolulu (Haw.) native.

According to Jim Nagy, the executive director of the Reese’s Senior Bowl down in Mobile (Ala.), Tagovailoa’s injury was similar to the one that ended former Auburn running back Bo Jackson’s career in the NFL:

As a result of the news to one of college football’s biggest stars, several people, including those who love and hate Alabama, took to Twitter to share their heartbreak and concern.

And here is one more tear-jerker for Alabama fans, who will forever be recognized for this game-winning touchdown pass against the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2018 National Championship Game.

At the end of the day, this is something that no one ever wants to see. The hope is that Tagovailoa is able to make a full recovery and get back to playing the game he loves.

Either way, keep him and his family in your thoughts!

UPDATE: Tua Tagovailoa will miss the remainder of the 2019 season, according to Aaron Suttles with The Athletic.
