NASCAR officially sets the Championship 4 in all three series for 2024

NASCAR has officially set the Championship 4 in all three levels for the 2024 season. Check out who has a chance at a NASCAR championship!

NASCAR has officially set the Championship 4 in all three levels for the 2024 season, at least for now. Who knows what might come from NASCAR’s rulings following its investigation at Martinsville Speedway, but until that point, the 12 drivers fighting for a championship have been determined. So, who will have an opportunity to be a NASCAR champion in 2024?

In the Cup Series, the No. 12 of Ryan Blaney, No. 22 of Joey Logano, No. 24 of William Byron, and No. 45 of Tyler Reddick will fight for a title. Blaney is looking for his second title while Logano is in search of his third with Team Penske. Meanwhile, Byron and Reddick want to hoist the trophy for the first time in their Cup Series careers.

The Xfinity Series features four veteran drivers with the No. 00 of Cole Custer, No. 7 of Justin Allgaier, No. 16 of A.J. Allmendinger, and No. 21 of Austin Hill. Every driver is searching for their first Xfinity Series championship, outside of Custer, who is looking for his second title and to send Stewart-Haas Racing off with a storybook ending.

Finally, the Truck Series will have the No. 9 of Grant Enfinger, No. 11 of Corey Heim, No. 19 of Christian Eckes, and No. 98 of Ty Majeski. All four drivers have never won a Truck Series championship, and one will have an opportunity to become a NASCAR champion for the first time as they look to advance their careers.

NASCAR has been active since February, but it all ends this weekend at Phoenix Raceway. Three drivers will become NASCAR champions, while the others look forward to next year. The time has come for NASCAR to determine three winners, and everything is on the line.

Christian Eckes wins the Round of 8 finale at Martinsville, clinching a Championship 4 spot. Check out the full results from Martinsville!

The NASCAR Truck Series arrived at Martinsville Speedway to finalize the Championship 4, and it produced more drama than imagined. Christian Eckes dominated the race, winning the first two stages; however, Taylor Gray made a late charge on 60-lap fresher tires. Gray passed Eckes, but he didn’t end up victorious in a must-win situation.

[autotag]Christian Eckes[/autotag] won the 2024 Zip Buy Now, Pay Later 200 at Martinsville, winning his fourth race of the season and clinching a spot in the Championship 4. Gray has every right to be upset, and Eckes has every right to go for the victory. It’ll be interesting to see if Gray retalities in any way at Phoenix Raceway as Eckes battles Corey Heim, Ty Majeski, and Grant Enfinger for the 2024 Truck Series championship.

NASCAR suspends Conner Jones for intentionally wrecking Matt Mills

NASCAR has suspended ThorSport Racing driver Conner Jones for intentionally wrecking Matt Mills at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

NASCAR has laid the hammer down on [autotag]Conner Jones[/autotag] after his incident with [autotag]Matt Mills[/autotag] at Homestead-Miami Speedway. On Wednesday morning, NASCAR announced that Jones has been suspended for the Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway after his incident with Mills. The ThorSport Racing driver was initially set to drive the No. 66 truck this weekend.

On Lap 76 at Homestead, Jones hit Mills and launched the No. 42 truck up the race track. Following the impact, the No. 42 truck lit on fire. Mills was then taken to a local hospital and released a few days later. Jones was fired up on the radio following the incident, which also resulted in NASCAR handing out a two-lap penalty during the event.

ThorSport Racing will not withdraw the No. 66 truck, as it will now have Johnny Sauter drive the entry. Sauter originally was listed as the driver of the No. 16 truck for Hattori Racing Enterprises this weekend. As of now, the No. 16 truck is to be announced. Mills has been cleared to race this weekend at Martinsville after his stay in the hospital.
