EA Sports is slated to released their ratings for the next chapter in their NFL football video game this week, Madden 21. Teaming up with ESPN, day-by-day we’re seeing more and more nuggets being released.
But as is the case many times in sports, news leaks. Evidently player ratings in Madden 21 are rumored to already be out there too, so anything can be leaked it seems nowadays.
In thoseleaks , the Bills have some guys that aren’t happy about what they’re seeing. Among them: defensive end Jerry Hughes and cornerback Tre’Davious White.
Hughes has been a rock on the Bills’ defensive line for a long time. He’s currently the longest-tenured member of the team, and he took to social media via Twitter and wasn’t too happy that, overall, Buffalo’s defense as a group earned a rating of 83 overall and suggested sending some wings and beer to EA Sports could change their minds.. or lighten them up.
Hughes also mentioned that White didn’t allow a single touchdown last season, questioning the cornerback’s 89 overall rating in the game.
After seeing Hughes’ thoughts, White raised the bar a ton himself.
White said to hell with video games, instead he’s thinking “raising a Lombardi Trophy for the 716” is a better idea:
It’s all good bro, been overlooked my whole life . That’s why my hustle different . Hell I don’t even know how to play Madden matter fact I don’t even own a damn game system. You know what would be sweet tho ? Raising a Lombardi Trophy for the 716 🙂 https://t.co/PNvyfXB4zR

White also said he’s “overlooked” which has many Bills fans thinking the same after Madden 21’s ratings were leaked. The cornerback is fresh off an All-Pro season in 2019, but you can now count on one thing. White’s going to be even more motivated in 2020 once the Bills take the field. That’s bad news of opposing wide receivers.
But this also probably explains White’s appearance in Madden 21’s promo video which was released last week.
In it, White is the first player that shows up and in it, the production team behind the camera immediately tells White he’s getting too close to the camera after asking him if there’s “anything he wants to ask about the ratings.”
“I want to get up and personal about this,” White says.
Then at the end of the video, it cuts to White wrapping up his thoughts, saying: “I’m done with my rating, I feel so much better I got that out.”
