Someone hilariously mashed up a Missouri football hype video with Joe Exotic’s ‘I Saw a Tiger’

Mizzou just found a new fight song.

In this current state of social distancing and quarantine, odds are you’ve come across the Netflix limited documentary series, Tiger King.

If not, stop what you’re doing and watch now. The sheer absurdity of the show — which follows the former tiger-breeding zoo owner in Oklahoma who had a laughable campaign for president (and then governor!) and got entrenched in a murder-for-hire scheme all while filming everything — has enough entertainment value to last a couple days at home.

But, at the very least, you’ve probably seen the memes all over the internet.

Joe Exotic has become a viral personality in this odd time, and that’s even transferred over to the sports world. Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew shared his own Tiger King meme. And now, we have a Mizzou football hype video that somehow matched up well with Joe Exotic’s country song — yeah, he does that too — called “I Saw a Tiger.”

I’m honestly shocked how well that worked. Nicely done, Matt Moreno.

I think Mizzou just found a new fight song.

Gardner Minshew posted the perfect ‘Tiger King’ joke on Instagram

Gardner Minshew posted a funny photoshopped image.

In an NFL that has long been too-serious with its suit-and-tie personality, we should all be grateful to have Gardner Minshew.

The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback won over NFL fans with his comebacks, his mustache, jorts and his Uncle-Rico good looks during the 2019 season. Minshew continued to lean into his silly image, with a photoshopped photo of himself as the “Tiger King.” What’s that? It’s a documentary series on Netflix about Joe Exotic, a zoo operator and breeder of tigers from Oklahoma.

In the image, Minshew swapped himself and a jaguar out with Joe Exotic and a tiger. Maybe it’s a comparison Minshew shouldn’t make, considering all that we learn about Exotic’s illegal activity. Still, the image is good for a laugh.

The #JaguarKing label is particularly fitting this offseason. While Minshew was in a quarterback battle with veteran Nick Foles, the team traded him to the Chicago Bears this offseason. It’s the Minshew show from now on.
