Eagles fans react to a Ticketmaster frenzy over Divisional Round playoff tickets

Philadelphia Eagles fans are irate over Ticketmaster’s difficulties regarding the tickets for the NFC Divisional Round of the Playoffs

The Eagles are the NFC’s No. 1 overall seed after a 22-16 win over the Giants and will have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

On Monday Philadelphia announced that tickets for Philadelphia’s Divisional Round playoff game will go on sale Tuesday, January 10 at 10 AM ET.

The announcement was made by the team’s Director of Corporate Communications, Anthony Bonagura.

Tickets could only be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com. There is a four-ticket limit per household and all tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Due to the high demand, Eagles fans were encouraged to visit Ticketmaster as soon as they went on sale.

An hour into the process, fans are irate about the secondary market, long waits, and high prices.

Social media reacts to everything, and this fiasco was no different.

Taylor Swift fans are in shambles after Ticketmaster crashed during the Eras Tour ticket sale

Taylor Swift just broke the internet but not in the good way

Taylor Swift is one of the biggest musical acts in the world, obviously. Her fanbase reaches a global scale. She’s so big that she completely overshadowed a Thursday Night Football game with a teaser for her Midnight album and y’all know how folks get about their football.

Anyway, you get it. Taylor Swift. She’s a big deal. So one would naturally think that when she says she’s going on tour in 2023 that ticket sellers would prepare themselves for massive amounts of traffic from fans trying to get those tickets.

Especially considering that this is Swift’s first tour in 5 years. This is going to be a big deal to a lot of people. Any ticket seller would have to be ready for that, right?

Plot twist: That did not happen. In fact, it was the complete opposite.

Before the presale tickets could even go live on Ticketmaster the website was actually crashing. Ticketmaster apologized for the disruption and has things working again.

But now, fans are stuck in long queues and sitting in the same virtual spaces for lengthy periods of time.

Basically, the Taylor Swift corner of the internet is in absolute shambles right now.

Commanders land record-setting sponsorship deal

Seat Geek replaces Ticketmaster as the franchise’s ticketing company beginning in 2023.

It feels like it has been a while since the Washington Commanders received some good news off the field. Despite all of the outstanding work Washington’s new business team has done during the rebranding, the information surrounding the Commanders always seems to be of a negative variety.

However, Mike Ozanian of Forbes reports the Commanders recently inked a massive sponsorship deal with the ticket seller SeatGeek, which would be the largest in franchise history annually. SeatGeek replaces Ticketmaster as the team’s ticket seller.

Ticketmaster had been Washington’s official ticket seller since 1997, the year FedEx Field opened.

The new deal would reportedly bring the Commanders an average of $10-12 million per year.

This is likely a strategy by Washington’s business team to increase attendance in 2022 and beyond. Last season, Washington had the league’s lowest attendance as a percentage of capacity by over 15%.

A prevailing issue for Washington has been fans of other teams raiding FedEx Field at an embarrassing rate. It holds especially true for Washington’s NFC East rivals.

Ryan Moreland, Washington’s chief partnership officer, touted the deal, saying it would bring “a mobile-first and fan-centric experience” to Washington fans.

The contract is reportedly for four years; meaning SeatGeek will be Washington’s official ticket partner through the 2026 season.

49ers’ fans opportunity to buy NFC Championship game tickets

NFC Championship game tickets are readily available on the secondary market

There was a big hullabaloo over the Los Angeles Rams trying to block San Francisco 49ers fans from staging another takeover of SoFi Stadium for the NFC Championship game.

Fear not those in Northern California, the TicketMaster block has been lifted.

That is because all the face-value tickets have been sold for Round 3 Sunday between the NFC champion Rams and Wild-Card 49ers with a spot in Super Bowl on the line.

The 49ers’ fans wallets will be tested if they want to enter SoFi on Sunday. The secondary market is littered with tickets available.

On the TicketMaster site alone, there is a flood of pink seats on the map. Just click on any section and you will have your choice of where you can buy tickets and sit to boo the home team if you are from out of town.

However, note the cheapest price for a ticket — the get-in number — is $510. And that’s for a nosebleed in the 17th row of the upper deck.

Seems like the secondary market negates the ability to block road fans from getting into games. Just another strategy gone awry,

No entendemos nada.
