Run line/Against the spread

The DODGERS -1.5 (+108) are worth playing lightly at plus-money.

Los Angeles easily covered the run line as a favorite in the opener, but it lost outright in Wednesday’s battle.

Buehler is on the hill, and he has been mediocre, at best, more often than not. The Rangers (+154) are expected to use Gray in what should be a muted role after he appeared in relief over the weekend in San Francisco, so things are a little bit scattered for the Texas pitching staff at the moment. And with the bullpen getting taxed and waxed last night, it could be another long night for Texas.

The RANGERS (+136) are worth taking a chance on as the road ‘dogs in this interleague series opener.

The southpaw Paxton was rather shaky last time out for the Dodgers (-162), as he got tuned up in Pittsburgh. He just hasn’t been very good in his past 3 outings, allowing 11 earned runs and 13 hits with 6 walks across just 9 1/3 innings as his ERA has ballooned from 2.84 to 4.19 since May 17.

Look for the Texas offense to add to his woes.

Run line/Against the spread

If you’re a bit more conservative, Texas +1.5 (-146) isn’t priced out of line if you’re looking for a little insurance.

Dunning was a little shaky last time out, coughing up 2 homers. So, we have a couple of pitchers looking to rebound.

Over/Under

OVER 9 (-105) is the lean; go with a half-unit play at most.
