Grading Texas’ 2023 signing class by position

Texas’ 2023 class is complete all around.

Steve Sarkisian and his Texas staff have put together an elite recruiting class in back-to-back seasons.

The Longhorns signed 23 prospects during the early signing period, currently ranking No. 3 in the country for the 2023 cycle. Texas finished with the No. 5 ranked class last year.

Texas landed four five-star players for the first time since 2010. The most significant slash being the No. 1 overall prospect Arch Manning. Manning’s late Summer commitment sparked a strong wave of recruiting momentum, building the foundation of the class.

A solid finish for the class included to big-time recruiting wins over rival programs. Texas landed five-star linebacker Anthony Hill over Texas A&M and four-star EDGE Tausili Akana over the final week.

Texas is building a strong foundation on the recruiting trail, setting up a bright future in Austin.

Here is a grade for each position group in Texas’s 2022 recruiting class. It does not include players added from the transfer portal.
