Here are the recruits set to visit Texas A&M vs. Bowling Green this weekend

Here are the 2025, 2026, and 2027 recruits who will attend Texas A&M vs. Bowling Green

Texas A&M (2-1, 1-0 SEC) is headed back to Kyle Field for the third time this season, as the Aggies will host Bowling Green (1-1), who is coming off a bye week after losing a close game to Penn State 34-27 inside a packed Beaver Stadium.

After defeating Florida 33-20 last Saturday, head coach Mike Elko has a decision to make on Saturday afternoon, as backup quarterback Marcel Reed’s impressive outing against the Gators was only possible due to starting quarterback Conner Weigman’s shoulder injury.

After Wednesday’s practice, Weigman’s shoulder has slowly progressed but will continue to be day-to-day until further notice, vaulting Reed back into the starting conversation every Saturday. Whoever starts against the Falcons will be playing in front of a packed Kyle Field, along with a long list of 2025, 2026, and 2025 recruits, including several commits.

Following 247Sports’ Andrew Hattersley, here are the prospects who will attend the game on Saturday night.

2025 prospects:

  • 2025 4-star cornerback and Texas A&M commit Detjhon Pettaway
  • 2025 4-star cornerback and Texas A&M commit Cobey Sellers
  • 2025 3-star offensive tackle and Texas A&M commit Tyler Thomas
  • 2025 4-star defensive lineman and Texas A&M commit Chace Sims

2026 prospects:

  • 2026 kicker/punter Ethan Guillen
  • 2026 quarterback Garrett Barham
  • 2026 4-star wide receiver Jabari Brady
  • 2026 4-star defensive lineman Tajh Overton
  • 2026 4-star defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright

2027 prospects:

  • 2027 defensive lineman K’Adrian Redmond.

Texas A&M will host Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 21. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.

One of Texas A&M’s 2025 commits will watch the Aggies play next weekend

2025 4-star WR and Texas A&M commit Kelshaun Johnson will watch Texas A&M take on Arkansas next weekend

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class is filled with talent at every position, led by 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet and 4-star defensive lineman DJ Sanders. Still, one name has continued to make headlines during his final year of high school football.

Needing to add more speed and downfield explosiveness to the wide receiver room, 4-star WR Kelshaun Johnson committed to the Aggies over the Texas Longhorns earlier this year and has continued to look like one of the top overall athletes in the cycle. While the Longhorns are certainly trying to flip him, Johnson is still firmly committed to the Aggies.

After scoring a late touchdown to take the lead in Hitchcock’s recent game, Johnson revealed that he will attend Texas A&M’s Week 5 matchup vs. Arkansas at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, which will be his first game this season.

With the Aggie offense finally looking better after defeating Florida 33-20 last Saturday, Johnson can visualize his place in the future lineup, possibly with quarterback Marcel Reed, who could start his second game of the season against Bowling Green on Saturday night.

2025 3-star WR out of Destrehan (LA) places Texas A&M in his Top 10

Texas A&M is in the running for 2025 3-star WR Philip Wright

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class is poised to grow exponentially this summer. Head coach Mike Elko and his staff have lined up a long list of visits, while plenty of 2025 talent, including three-star receiver Philip Wright, have continued to consider the Aggies.

On Tuesday, Wright released his Top 10 program list, which included Michigan, Baylor, Auburn, Missouri, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Houston, LSU, Georgia and Texas A&M.

He is set to enter his senior season at Destrehan HS in Destrehan, Louisiana. Wright is another track star who also excels on the football field. Standing at a modest 5-11 and 160 pounds, he possesses lightning speed and quickness. Wright consistently burns defenders deep, and his route running is due to improve at the next level.

Like Aggie freshman wide receiver Ernest Campbell, it seems that Elko and new offensive coordinator Collin Klein are putting speed and athleticism over size at the receiver position, which is no surprise as collegiate offenses continue to evolve.

According to 247Sports, Wright is currently positioned as the 29th-ranked athlete and the 20th-ranked prospect in Louisiana.

2025 4-Star WR out of Sachse (TX) will reportedly visit Texas A&M in late April

According to Rivals’ Landyn Rosow, Texas A&M and head coach Mike Elko will host 2025 4-star WR Kaliq Lockett on April 20.

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class is shaping up to be a massive success for new head coach Mike Elko, who is just six months away from leading the Aggies on the field for the inaugural 2024 campaign.

Amid the bevy of announcements concerning the 2025 prospects who will be visiting College Station in the coming months, 4-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett has stood out the most, not just due to his elite potential but his deep family connections to Texas A&M combined with his budding relationship with Elko and his staff.

After taking an unofficial campus visit during the Aggies’ junior day on Jan. 13, it has been confirmed by Rivals’ Landyn Rosow that Lockett will make his way back to CSTAT for Texas A&M’s Maroon & White Spring game on Saturday, April 20, and will get his first look at new offensive coordinator Collin Klein’s offensive scheme.

According to 247Sports, Lockett is currently positioned as the 11th-ranked player in the class, the 2nd-ranked wide receiver, and the 3rd-ranked player in Texas, as the Sachse (TX) native is coming off his highly productive 2023 junior campaign, recording 59 receptions, 1,299 yards and 13 touchdowns on the year.

2025 4-Star WR out of Hitchcock (TX) has placed Texas A&M in his Top 10 program list

Texas A&M is now a finalist to land 2025 4-star wide receiver Kelshaun Johnson out to Hitchcock, Texas.

It’s the offseason, and while spring football is just around the corner, these early spring months are dominated by recruiting, specifically the 2025 cycle that’s filled with defensive talent. Quietly assembling in an impressive 2025 class thus far, Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko has continued to garner attention from recruits throughout the national landscape.

This week, the momentum continued as several 2025 prospects included the Aggies in their respective program lists, including 4-star wide receiver Kelshaun Johnson out of Hitchcock, Texas. Texas A&M has joined USC, Texas Tech, Penn State, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, TCU, Tennessee, and Texas.

Looking to add his first WR commit in the cycle, Elko doesn’t have to go far, as the Lone Star State is chock-full of future SEC starters at the position, while Johnson offers intriguing versatility on both sides of the ball.

Thin but strong, Johnson stands at 5-11 and 160 pounds and was deployed all over the field during his 2023 junior season, possessing the speed and quickness to excel in post routes and bubble routes.

According to 247Sports, Johnson is currently positioned as the 194th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 7th-ranked athlete, and the 28th-ranked prospect in Texas.

2025 4-Star CB out of Columbus (OH) has placed Texas A&M in his Top 12 program list

2025 4-star cornerback Dawayne Galloway has placed Texas A&M in his Top 12 program list

On Friday, 2025 4-star cornerback Dawayne Galloway released his Top 12 program list, as the Columbus, Ohio native checks all the boxes for Elko’s defensive scheme, standing at 6-1 and 175 pounds and has already received nearly 30 offers.

Having not officially visited College Station, the Aggies have made the cut, joining Penn State, Georgia, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Purdue, Tennessee, UCF, Syracuse, and Colorado. As a two-way player during his 2023 junior season at Marion-Franklin HS, Galloway recorded five impressive interceptions, including a pick-six on the year.

Already, A&M secured a commitment in the secondary from 4-star cornerback Deyjhon Pettaway; I expect Galloway to schedule a campus visit in the near future.

According to 247Sports, Dawayne Galloway is currently positioned as the 97th-ranked player in the class, the 13th-ranked cornerback prospect, and the 4th-ranked player in Ohio.

2025 4-Star LB out McKinney (TX) will visit Texas A&M in April

Joining a long list of 2025 prospects, standout 4-star linebacker Riley Pettijohn will visit Texas A&M in early April.

2025 4-star linebacker Riley Pettijohn is one of the most sought-after defensive prospects in the country, and while the Texas Longhorns have become a favorite to land his talents, don’t count out Texas A&M and head coach Mike Elko just yet.

After including the Aggies in his Top 6 program list earlier this month, Pettijohn will now reportedly take an unofficial visit to College Station on Saturday, April 13, joining a long list of 2025 visitors during the next two months.

Standing at 6-2 and 210 pounds, Pettijohn possesses an NFL frame with room to add healthy weight. Due to his previous play at safety, Pettijohn is an exceptional open-field tackler with the speed and instincts to excel as a three-down linebacker at the next level.

During his 2023 junior season at McKinney (TX) HS, Pettijohn was a tackling machine, recording 120 tackles, ten tackles for loss, three sacks, five pass breakups, and an interception. Possessing elite instincts as an off-ball linebacker, Pettijohn’s speed and second-level burst set him apart as a pass rusher off the edge.

According to 247Sports, Pettijohn is currently positioned as the 33rd-ranked prospect in the 2025 cycle, the 3rd-ranked linebacker, and the 7th-ranked player in Texas.

2025 4-Star DL out of Bellville (TX) is predicted to land with Texas A&M

Texas A&M has received a prediction to land 2025 4-star defensive lineman DJ Sanders out of Bellville, Texas.

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class is already building towards being one of head coach Mike Elko’s first big wins at the helm, already landing three prospects this month, including 4-star running back Deondrae “Tiger” Riden on Monday night.

Elko’s defensive background will certainly play a big part in landing some of the top recruits at every defensive position. At the same time, Texas A&M’s recruiting success on the D-line under former head coach Jimbo Fisher has continued under Elko after securing several commitments in the 2024 cycle.

On Wednesday, On3’s Sam Spiegelman released his prediction for 2025 4-star defensive lineman DJ Sanders, predicting that the Bellville, Texas will commit to Texas A&M in the coming months.

Texas A&M, under Fisher, offered Sanders nearly two years ago that he would take an unofficial visit to College Station in Jan. 2023. Still, after the hiring of Mike Elko back in late November, Sander’s relationship with the program reportedly grew.

Sanders is coming off one of the most productive seasons from a defensive lineman in the country, recording 115 tackles, 28 tackles for loss and 15 sacks, three forced fumbles, and two fumbles returned for touchdowns. In three seasons, Sanders has netted an eye-popping 53.5 tackles for loss and 29.5 sacks.

According to 247Sports Composite, Sanders is currently positioned as the 16th-ranked defensive lineman in the country and the 25th-ranked player in the 2025 recruiting class.

2025 5-Star WR out of Ackerman (MS) is set to visit Texas A&M in late April

Joining a long list of future visitors, 2025 5-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham will also make his way to College Station on April 19.

The recruiting visits are ramping up for Texas A&M as head coach Mike Elko and his staff, as several key 2025 prospects will make their way to College Station in the coming months, including 5-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham, the top-ranked player in Mississippi.

After missing out on several 5-star wide receiver prospects in the 2024 recruiting class, including losing 5-star WR Cam Coleman to the Auburn Tigers, Cunningham, who will reportedly visit College Station on April 19, presents a great opportunity to right the ship for Mike Elko and his staff.

Possessing elite traits at the position, Cunningham is a red-zone nightmare. While his catch radius and impressive size (6-3, 180 lbs) stand out the most, his RAC (run after catch) ability and second-level speed will make him an instant receiving threat at the next level.

In three seasons at Choctaw Country HS in Ackerman, Mississippi, Cunningham recorded 2,150 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns, including a career-high 1,138 yards and 14 scores during his 2023 junior campaign.

According to 247Sports Composite, Cunningham is currently positioned as the 11th-ranked player in the 2025 cycle, the 2nd-ranked wide receiver prospect, and the No.1-ranked prospect in Mississippi.

A current favorite to land with Mississippi State, Cunningham will make seven visits before heading to Texas A&M.

2025 4-Star DL out of Austin (TX) will visit Texas A&M in early April

It has been confirmed that 2025 4-star defensive lineman Gus Cordova will visit College Station on Saturday, April 6

The recruiting visits are ramping up for Texas A&M as head coach Mike Elko and his staff, as several key 2025 prospects will make their way to College Station in the coming months, including 4-star defensive lineman Gus Cordova.

Hailing out of Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, Cordova is a rising prospect in the defensive trenches, recording 65 tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks during his 2023 junior season. This week, it has been confirmed that Cordova will visit Texas A&M on Saturday, April 6, two weeks before returning home to visit the Texas Longhorns on the 20th.

Standing at 6-5 250 pounds, Cordova has the size and athleticism to function as a defensive tackle or defensive end, deployed as both a stand-up edge rusher while relentlessly making his way to the backfield to stop the run.

After landing DeSoto (TX) star running back Deondrae “Tiger” Riden on Monday night, the Aggies’ recruiting momentum looks to continue throughout the spring, and as some may have forgotten, Mike Elko’s final recruiting class during his last season at Duke was finalized before the summer. With this current trend, we could see the same schedule in the 2025 cycle.
