2024 DL Terrance Hibbler lists Alabama as finalist in recruitment

2024 defensive lineman Terrance Hibbler released his top-eight schools. Alabama made the cut as a finalist.

Defensive lineman Terrance Hibbler of the 2024 class listed Alabama in his top-eight schools on Monday. Hibbler received an offer from Alabama in January.

Hibbler plays for Holmes County Central High School in Lexington, Mississippi. As a junior, he tallied 59 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and four sacks.

At 6-foot-3, 305 pounds, Hibbler has quite the impact along the Jaguars’ defensive line unit. His strength and athleticism for an interior defensive lineman stands out in his highlight tape.

According to On3’s RPM, Alabama is the favorite to land Hibbler at 33.3% likelihood. Hibbler will take an official visit to Tuscaloosa on June 2.

Recently offered 4-star defensive lineman sets first visit with Florida

This blue-chip defensive line prospect will be in town next weekend.

The month of March looks to be a busy one for Florida football’s recruiting efforts as a laundry list of prep prospects are already lined up to visit the Swamp in the coming days.

Among those slated to get some face time with [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag] and his staff is 2024 four-star defensive lineman [autotag]Terrance Hibbler[/autotag] out of Lexington (Mississippi) Holmes County Central. The 6-foot-3-inch, 305-pound high school junior is scheduled to make his first visit with the Orange and Blue on March 9, Swamp247 confirmed.

The young lineman’s recruitment has been spearheaded by co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach [autotag]Sean Spencer[/autotag] — who is also in charge of recruiting for the state of Mississippi — leading to an offer in January. It appears that the staff sees something promising in the big young man based on Hibbler’s comments.

“He said the whole staff had watched my tape and they really like how I play. I know for sure he said he liked the way I come off the ball and how aggressive I am.”

As far as his familiarity with Florida’s football program, there is still a bit of work to be done. Fortunately, Spencer has been on top of that aspect of his recruitment as well.

“I watched a few of their games last year, but that is about all I know. They seem like a good school and they have a good team. From talking with Coach Spencer, they seem like they got some good coaches. Florida just seems like everyone gets along there and got good team chemistry. That is how teams get help winning when they got good chemistry like that.”

Hibbler is four-star rated and ranked No. 309 overall and No. 30 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has rated at three stars and at Nos. 527 and 49, respectively. The Mississippi State Bulldogs hold the lone crystal ball prediction from 247Sports and also lead the pack in On3’s Recruiting Predictions Machine with a 27% chance of landing him.

Four-star defensive lineman to attend A-Day game

Four-star defensive line target Terrance Hibbler is set to visit for Auburn’s annual spring game.

[autotag]Terrance Hibbler[/autotag] is a four-star defensive line target out of Lexington, Mississippi, and had planned to visit Auburn on March 25 but those plans have changed.

He is now set to visit the Plains on April 8 for the A-Day game, according to Keith Niebuhr of Auburn Live.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pounder is the No. 297 overall player and No. 28 defensive lineman in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the No. 8 player from Mississippi.

Hibbler is coming off an impressive junior season at Holmes County Central where he made 59 tackles, 15.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, and forced two fumbles.

He already has over 15 scholarship offers and has taken unofficial visits to Alabama, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss.  It will be tough to pry him away from the in-state schools but getting a visit on A-Day is a good sign for the Tigers.

Auburn has offered 56 defensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class and is still looking for their first commit along the line.
