Titans at Patriots odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Patriots 20, Titans 17

Money line

The Titans have weathered a lot this season. They enter this week with a ton of injuries. However, the defense has stepped up over the last few weeks, allowing an average of 18.3 points in the last five games.

However, without both Brown and Julio Jones, who is on injured reserve, as well as being without Derrick Henry, who is also on IR, Tennessee will not be able to generate enough offense.

The Patriots, on the other hand, have been great defensively as well, having allowed a total of 13 points in three weeks.

Because of the line where it is, though, PASS on the money line.

Against the spread

The Titans failed to cover the spread in their last two games but are 7-4 ATS overall this season. They have not covered the spread in any of their three losses.

The Pats are also 7-4 ATS but they have covered the spread in their last five games. The Titans will keep this game close. Ultimately, the Pats will do too much but the Titans will cover.

Take the TITANS +6.5 (-103).

Over/Under

The Titans are allowing an average of 18.6 points per game over their last five games. The Patriots are allowing only 10 points per game over their last five.

That combined with the Titans’ best offensive players being out means a low-scoring game.

Take UNDER 43.5 (-112).

Titans at Patriots head-to-head

The Titans are 2-0 vs. the Patriots since hiring head coach Mike Vrabel in 2018, both times as underdogs.

Tennessee upset New England 34-10 in Week 10 of 2018, and 20-13 the following season in an AFC Wild Card game.

However, Titans RB Derrick Henry (sidelined since a Week 8 foot injury) was crucial in both wins and, obviously, QB Tom Brady is no longer under center for the Patriots.

New England is just 8-10 ATS when playing with a rest advantage since 2016 but 28-17-1 ATS as a home favorite. Tennessee is 11-6 ATS as a road underdog and 8-4 ATS when playing with a rest disadvantage in the Vrabel era.
