Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts Game Preview

Why Tennessee Titans Will Win

Has it seemed to you like Derrick Henry hasn’t quite been able to get going?

He’s been fine, the team is coming off a win, and the team is overdue to start playing like the 2021 version, but it needs 22 to get going against a Colt run defense that’s been fine so far.

However, the opportunities will be there for Ryan Tannehill and the passing game to get going. Without a true go-to No. 1 receiver, the passing attack has worked, Tannehill is spreading it around, and …

Henry is overdue. Indianapolis has yet to face a killer back yet. Speaking of which …

Why Indianapolis Colts Will Win

Has it seemed to you like Jonathan Taylor hasn’t quite been able to get going?

Everyone has dared Matt Ryan to produce, and the plan burned Kansas City late last week in the 20-17 Colt win.

Taylor has been okay, but it’s been the defense that’s been the star doing a nice job against the run – it’s only allowing 2.6 yards per carry – and the pass defense is holding up well enough.

Okay, so Ryan has to be better and has to take advantage of all the attention paid to 28, but …

Week 4 NFL Schedule, Predictions, Game Previews

What’s Going To Happen

Third downs. Tennessee’s defense has been a brick wall on the money downs, and the Colts have been just okay.

Taylor will finally start to bust out – even though he’s a little dinged – but Ryan won’t be able to come through. The Titans dealt with Matt Ryan and Derek Carr over the last two games – the Colt passing game will be a week off.

Don’t expect fireworks, but it’ll be a good battle late.

NFL Week 4 parlay: Let’s make some money

Assessing NFL Week 4 betting odds and lines, with predictions and picks for the best parlay bet to make.

It is time to look at some games and find some parlay worthy bets. If you are with me, let us now make some money in Week 4.

After looking at Tipico Sportsbook‘s NFL Week 4 odds, here is a “Let’s make some money” NFL parlay bet to cash in on among SportbookWire’s NFL expert picks and predictions.

Crazy results continued last week.

So far this season, it has been a boom for those who like to play underdogs. But this will always balance out in the end. Make sure to not get too confident or to continue riding underdogs just to get a bigger payout.

NFL Week 4: Let’s make some money parlay

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Wednesday at 11:08 a.m. ET. All games Sunday and ET unless noted.

Leg 1: Titan at Colts Over 42.5 (-115) – 1 p.m.

The Titans and Colts rarely play games close. They also rarely play games which go under the posted total. This total is extremely low for this matchup.

Although the Titans are only 1-2 O/U and the Colts 0-3 O/U, these teams are familiar with each other. If 1 of these teams begins to score, the other will keep up.

Tennessee got off to a hot start last Sunday. They had 3 drives of more than 75 yards to open the game against the Las Vegas Raiders. They have the capability to do this again. With WR Michael Pittman Jr. and RB Jonathan Taylor, the Colts also have the horses to go down the field quickly.

You might be sweating this one for a bit. But it will go over and be the 1st leg of a winning parlay.

Leg 2: Jaguars at Eagles Over 47.5 (-112) – 1 p.m.

The Eagles look unstoppable early in the 2022 season.

QB Jalen Hurts is playing at an MVP level and WR DeVonta Smith had a coming out party last Sunday with 169 receiving yards and 1 TD. He joins WR A.J. Brown as dangerous weapons in the passing game, something the Eagles were searching for last season when they led the NFL in rushes over the final 8 games of the season.

The Eagles have not forgotten about the run game though. Hurts has shown his quickness and elusiveness to gain yards and 4 Eagles players have rushed for a TD this season. With an offensive line rated the best in the NFL this far, offense will not be an issue against the Jaguars.

The Jaguars come in after a complete demolition of the Los Angeles Chargers with WR Christian Kirk and RB James Robinson sparking the Jaguars offense. The victory by Jacksonville was their 1st road win since December of 2019 when they were beat the then-Oakland Raiders in their final home game. It was also the 1st time since 2001 that the Jaguars have won back-to-back games by at least 20 points.

Coming across country, for another road game will be tough. But it will be tougher on the defense than the offense which is humming right now. I expect a close matchup here. But a high scoring matchup.

Leg 3: Cardinals ML (+105) at Panthers – 4:05 p.m.

The Panthers are getting a lot of credit for beating a bad Saints team last week. A Saints team that lost the game due to fumbles and injuries to key WR contributors Michael Thomas and Chris Olave as well as QB Jameis Winston dealing with a bad back, ribs and leg. For the Cardinals, Kyler Murray has none of those worries. Although Arizona is coming across the country for an early start, they are still the better team.

Christian McCaffrey was finally given free reign Sunday. He finished the game with 108 yards on 25 carries for Carolina. Coming off his recent bouts of injury, the Panthers may want to limit his usage this week. This could be devastating for a Panthers team which is looking to finally turn the corner under coach Matt Rhule. I do not think it happens.

I was surprised to see Arizona as the underdog in this game. I will trust them to prove me right and win the game.

With Murray alone, the talent is there for the Cardinals to pull of this upset.

Parlay payout: Bet $10 to win $71.10 (profit $61.10).

Try out the USA TODAY Parlay Calculator.

Leg 4-*: Packers -10.5 (-108) vs. Patriots – 4:25 p.m.

*-If you want to add a 4th play to this parlay:

Aaron Rodgers finally found a dependable receiver in Romeo Doubs. Add this to his RB duo of Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon and the offense for Green Bay is taking shape. Against a weakened New England team, Rodgers will have no problem moving up and down Lambeau Field.

The defense for Green Bay, behind DL Rashan Gary and CB Jaire Alexander, will clamp down on the Patriots and squeeze the life out of them.

QB Mac Jones will miss this game with a severe high ankle sprain. Whether it be veteran Brian Hoyer or rookie Bailey Zappe, the offense will not be able to move down the field.

The Patriots put up 27 against a Ravens team missing 4 cornerbacks in their secondary. The Packers are not missing those players and they will be able to get the Patriots off the field because of it.

I expect the Packers to romp. The only reason it is not in my top 3 is due to the high spread. But as a 4th play, I would do it.

Parlay payout: Bet $10 to win $136.80 (profit $126.80).

The Tennessee Titans are on the road in week 12 when they face the Indianapolis Colts from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy.

The Titans are coming off a 30-24 OT win over the Ravens last weekend and will look to make it two in a row on the road, after winning three of their last four on the road. The Colts come into this matchup winning four of their last five games, looking for two in the row at home after beating Green Bay 34-31 in OT last week.

Why Tennessee Titans Will Win

How is Tennessee stronger than it was a few weeks ago when it lost by 17 to the Colts at home? The offense picked it up against Baltimore last week in a strong overtime win, the running game continues to be fantastic, and the defense is doing a decent job from time-to-time taking the ball away.

When the D forces takeaways, they come in bunches. Indianapolis avoided giving up any in the first meeting, but it turned it over twice four of the last six games. On the road, the Titans have to force mistakes, because …

CFN Experts Picks: NFL

Why Indianapolis Colts Will Win

The Colts were able to throw well over the last several weeks and almost hit 300 yards in the first meeting. As long as Phil Rivers can avoid the bad interception, the defense will do the rest.

Jonathan Taylor won’t be playing after testing positive for COVID, but the Titan defense has problems against anyone who can pound away. The great Colt offensive line needs to control the game, and the league’s second-best defense should take care of the rest.

CFN Experts Picks: College

Fantasy Football Player To Watch

QB Philip Rivers, Indianapolis
Yeah, he has a toe injury, but he doesn’t miss games – ever. With Taylor out, the running game will spread it around, and Rivers will try staying on his current tear. He has three touchdown passes in three of the last five games, and he’s a lock for 250 yards and close to 300.

What’s Going To Happen

It’s so hard to be a team twice, especially in the last three weeks. The things that worked for the Colts on the road should work at home.

Slow down the Tennessee passing game, control the tempo, rely on Rivers and the offensive line to take care of the rest. It’ll be closer than the 34-17 first meeting, but the Colts will still pull it off.

Titans at Colts: Week 13 preview, betting trends and notes

  • The Titans are 4-1 ATS in their last five games, but just 6-5 for the season. The Colts are 2-3 ATS in their last five after starting 4-1-1 in 2019.
  • Indianapolis is 10-2 SU in its last 12 home games. The Colts have been even better at home, specifically against the Titans, going 10-1 in their last 11.
  • The Colts have covered the spread in each of their last seven games against the AFC South.
  • The Titans are 1-4 ATS vs. teams with a winning record in their last five games.
  • The total has gone over in each of the Titans’ last five games and five of the Colts’ last seven home contests.
  • The favorite has gone 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings between these two teams.

Titans at Colts: Key injuries

Titans TE Delanie Walker (ankle) has been placed on injured reserve and is out for the year.

Prediction

Titans 24, Colts 21

Moneyline (?)

The Titans come into this one as the much hotter team. They’ve really improved since QB Ryan Tannehill took over, and his strong stretch of play will continue this weekend.

Bet the TITANS (+115) to win straight-up behind a strong rushing attack from Derrick Henry and steady play by Tannehill.

New to sports betting? A $10 wager on the Titans to win outright would return a profit of $11.50.

Against the Spread (?)

The Colts are favored by 2.5 points at home, which means the oddsmakers see the Titans as the slightly better team if on a neutral field. Getting two points with Tennessee is enticing, considering the Titans have covered in four of their last five games.

Bet the TITANS (+2.5, -106) to cover the spread against a Colts team that has been struggling.

Over/Under (?)

The Titans have been hot as of late, winning four of their last five games and scoring at least 20 points in each of the five contests. Their last two wins against the Jaguars (42 points) and Chiefs (35 points) have been especially impressive, too.

The over/under is set at 43.5. Considering the Over has hit in each of the Titans’ last five games, that’s a pretty solid bet. Take the OVER (-110) in this one.
