TMNTE? Juwan Johnson compares Saints tight ends to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

TMNTE? Juwan Johnson compared the Saints’ tight ends to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which makes more sense the more you think on it | @DillySanders

Tight end Juwan Johnson spoke to media after the New Orleans Saints third training camp practice ended, sharing a unique comparison for the Saints tight ends room to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This started with Jimmy Graham being likened to the heroes’ Master Splinter (“He’s like the O.G. of tight ends … he’s been so helpful to us as an older guy and so decorated not even here but in the NFL”) and Johnson comparing himself to the levelheaded Donatello (“I feel like I’m Donatello, I feel like I’m pretty smart, pretty chill”).

While Johnson wouldn’t dig any deeper on who the rest of the room fits, we did the obvious job. We went through every member of the New Orleans Saints tight end room and assigned them a member of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles squad. Or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Tight Ends, if you will:

Beloved internet star Zombie Kid is all grown up, still loves turtles at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie premiere

Zombie Kid is back, and he still likes turtles.

One of the all-time great internet videos stars Zombie Kid (a.k.a. Jonathan), the lad at the state fair who shared his enjoyment of turtles with the world when interviewed by a local television news crew.

“I like turtles” is the stuff of internet legend, and the good folks trying to promote the new film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem did exactly what you think they did by the way this article introduction went.

Yes, Jonathan the Zombie Kid has made his triumphant return, makeup and all, to offer the exact review you’d expect for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

Like, c’mon, this is amazing. The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie has debuted to some fantastic reviews, but none will hold more weight than that of Zombie Kid.

If he liked it, then the odds are very good for this one to uphold the high standards we all have for turtles.

Fortnite could be getting TMNT and other Paramount characters soon

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are apparently coming to Fortnite soon.

It has been reported that Fortnite is due to receive several characters from Paramount-owned television shows in the near future, the most prominent of which include the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The news comes from the most recent episode of the XboxEra podcast, during which the site’s co-founder, Nick Baker, stated he’s heard details pertaining to the heroes in a half shell making a future appearance in Epic Games’ battle royale.

“I’ve been told that apparently Paramount has signed a deal with Epic to bring properties to Fortnite,” Baker said (thanks, VGC). He went on to specify that TMNT would be among said properties, but at the time of writing they’re the only characters who have been “semi-confirmed.”

Other potential crossovers as per this collaboration include South Park and Star Trek, although it’s hard to imagine Cartman making an appearance in a game largely intended for kids,

Fortnite isn’t the only online game bolstering its roster with beloved characters at the moment, with EVE Online seeing an influx of Doctor Who’s Daleks to its galaxy. Meanwhile, critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy 14’s Endwalker expansion is arguably the best update of last year, further cementing the game’s enduring success – if Fortnite isn’t your cup of tea, FF14 is definitely worth a punt.

If for some reason you still haven’t tried Fortnite for yourself, it’s worth noting that its popularity isn’t for nothing. We ranked it as one of the best online games available to play right now alongside massive, widely lauded titles like GTA Online and Mario Kart 8.
