Presidents Cup 2024: Saturday morning four-ball scores, Team USA leads 8-6

Game on.

On Thursday night, it looked like things could get late early for the International Team at the 2024 Presidents Cup after the United States swept the opening four-ball session and held a 5-0 lead heading into Friday’s foursomes matches.

But the Internationals were out for blood on Day 2 at Royal Montreal Golf Club.

Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im got the party started early, defeating Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay, 7 and 6. Schauffele and Cantlay have now lost three straight foursomes matches in team events.

When all was said and done, the Internationals swept the Americans and tied the Presidents Cup through 10 matches.

Now, let’s take a look at the scores from Saturday morning’s four-ball session.

Tour Championship 2024 Friday second-round tee times, PGA Tour pairings and how to watch

Everything you need to know for the second round of the Tour Championship.

The PGA Tour’s 2024 FedEx Cup Playoff finale is off and running and so is Scottie Scheffler.

The world No. 1 has opened a seven-shot lead at the revamped par-71, 7,490 yard East Lake Golf Club. Scheffler shot a first-round 65 and after starting at 10 under, thanks to the PGA Tour’s staggered strokes format, he’s become the first golfer on record (since 1983) to hold a seven-shot lead or more after 18 holes at the 2024 Tour Championship.

Scheffler is sitting at 16 under. His first-round playing partner, Xander Schauffele shot 70, and he’s tied for second with Collin Morikawa, shot 66, at 9 under.

The second-round tee times are not based on one’s position on the leaderboard but rather first-round scores, so Morikawa’s 66 puts him in the final group with Scheffler.

Adam Scott also shot 66, as did Taylor Pendrith, Aaron Rai and Justin Thomas.

The winner of the 2024 Tour Championship banks $25 million in bonus money. From tee times to TV and streaming info, here’s what you need to know for the second round of the 2024 Tour Championship. All times listed are ET.
