First look: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers Week 7 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3) limp into Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers (1-5) in this NFC South battle Sunday at Bank of America Stadium. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we look at Buccaneers vs. Panthers odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our NFL picks and predictions.

Both teams are coming off ugly losses Sunday. The Buccaneers lost 20-18 as 9.5-point road favorites at the Pittsburgh Steelers, while the Panthers dropped a 24-10 decision at the Los Angeles Rams. Carolina, which was a 7.5-point dog, got out to a 10-7 lead after a pick-6 by CB Donte Jackson late in the first half, but the Panthers didn’t score the rest of the game.

With QB Tom Brady not playing up to his normal level, this game will be closer than expected. But the strife of Carolina is palpable. This does not bode well for the home team as they look to improve under interim coach Steve Wilks.

Buccaneers vs. Panthers head-to-head

The Buccaneers have dominated this series in recent years.

Since Brady arrived in Tampa, the Buccaneers have not beaten the Panthers by less than 14 points. They have also not scored less than 31 points in any of the games.

Although the Buccaneers are struggling some now, it is nothing like what the Panthers team is going through.

From coach Matt Rhule being fired to jettisoning WR Robbie Anderson off the field and eventually trading him to Arizona, there is major crumbling in the foundation of the Panthers.
