First look: Tampa Buccaneers at Philadelphia Eagles odds and lines

Looking at Thursday’s Tampa Buccaneers at Philadelphia Eagles Week 6 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-1) head to the “City of Brotherly Love” for a Thursday Night Football Week 6 showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles (2-3) at Lincoln Financial Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Buccaneers vs. Eagles odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

Tampa Bay beat the brakes off of the Miami Dolphins 45-17 as an 11-point road favorite in Week 5 and QB Tom Brady had his best game of the season in the process. Brady completed 30-of-41 passes for 411 yards with a 5 TD to 0 INT ratio and a 144.4 QB Rating.

Philadelphia rallied back from a 12-point deficit to upset the Carolina Panthers 21-18 as a 2.5-point road underdog. The Eagles defense shut down Carolina’s aerial attack as it held QB Sam Darnold to just 177 passing yards, intercepting 3 of his passes and sacking Darnold three times.

Buccaneers at Eagles head-to-head

There isn’t a lot to glean from the previous Buccaneers-Eagles meetings as Tampa Bay last beat Philly 27-21 in Sept. 2018. The Bucs were led by QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Eagles had 2017 Super Bowl MVP QB Nick Foles under center.

The last time Brady faced the Eagles was as a member of the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII when he was outdueled by Foles despite passing for 505 yards with a 3:0 TD:INT ratio and a 115.4 QB Rating.

Since the start of the last season (the beginning of the Tompa Bay era), the Bucs are 4-6 ATS as a road favorite with a plus-4.3 spread differential. Philly is 0-2 ATS with a minus-4.0 spread differential at home this season in head coach Nick Sirianni’s first year on the job.

First look: Miami Dolphins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Miami Dolphins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 5 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Miami Dolphins (1-3) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1) meet for a Week 5 intrastate contest 1 p.m. ET Sunday at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Below, we look at the Dolphins vs. Buccaneers odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

Miami was held to 203 total yards in a 27-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, and the Dolphins will cross the Sunshine State with a not-so-sunny three-game losing skid in tow. Dolphins bettors will be hoping an against-the-spread trend follows: Miami is 7-1 ATS across its last eight games after straight-up losses.

The Buccaneers squeaked by the New England Patriots 19-17 Sunday with a late 48-yard field goal by PK Ryan Succop. The victory marked a bounce-back after a Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Tampa Bay returns home where it has won four in a row dating back to last season. The Bucs have averaged 34.5 points per game over those four victories.

Buccaneers at Patriots head-to-head

The Patriots picked up a 19-14 win Oct. 5, 2017, in Tampa the last time these teams played. Brady threw for 303 yards and a touchdown in a Patriots uniform.

While New England has won and covered each of the last three matchups with the Under hitting in each, Brady was under center in each of those games against the Bucs, not for them.
