Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds

Analyzing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ signing of QB Tom Brady a year ago brought immediate dividends in the form of the franchise’s second Lombardi Trophy. Below, we look at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 2022 Super Bowl 56 odds, with NFL futures picks and predictions.

No NFL team has successfully defended its Super Bowl title since the 2004 New England Patriots, but Brady — a youthful 27-year-old Brady — was of course at the helm of that young dynasty. Can Tampa Bay buck that trend in 2021 after retaining nearly the entire roster this offseason?

Buccaneers’ offseason recap

Outside of first-round draft pick LB Joe Tryon and free-agent RB Giovani Bernard, the notable offseason additions were few for the Bucs.

Of course, they didn’t require many after re-signing key in-house free agents TE Rob Gronkowski, RB Leonard Fournette, WR Antonio Brown, and LBs Shaq Barrett and Lavonte David while placing the franchise tag on WR Chris Godwin.

When all was said and done, Tampa Bay is set to return all 24 Super Bowl LV starters — including their two kicking specialists — putting them on pace to become the first defending NFL champs to do so since the 1976-77 Oakland Raiders.

The key question, once again, surrounds Brady’s age. Will he finally experience some noticeable decline in his play as he turns 44 years old in early August?

Tampa Bay Buccaneeers Super Bowl 56 and 2021 NFL futures picks

The 2020 Bucs went 11-5 with Brady and the new faces adjusting on the fly in a season hampered by COVID-19 restrictions, so the OVER 11.5 wins (-120) looks to be the clear choice on Tampa Bay’s season win total, particularly with the extra game added in 2021.

With New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees retiring, Aaron Rodgers’ future in Green Bay very much in flux and the Los Angeles Rams — and possibly the San Francisco 49ers — switching quarterbacks, the NFC looks ripe and ready for a Bucs repeat. It’d be wise to definitely get some dollars down on the more-than-fair-priced NFC South (-155) and NFC title (+280) futures.

The 2021 AFC champion surely will put up a better fight than last season’s injury-ravaged Kansas City Chiefs — and the Big Game won’t be another home game for Tampa — but at a tasty +700 with all the key pieces back, don’t hesitate to wager on the NFL fielding its first repeat champion in 17 years.
