Tale of the Tape: Leading Receivers – Lorenzo Styles vs. Talik Keaton

Think Lorenzo will be in this spot at season’s end?

It sure would be nice to see [autotag]Lorenzo Styles[/autotag] in this post every week because it would mean Notre Dame is lucky to have a breakout receiver. After all, there’s little chance that someone other than [autotag]Michael Mayer[/autotag] will end the season as the Irish’s top receiver. But for the moment, Styles has a single long reception that set up one of his team’s scores in the loss to Ohio State. It probably says more about the Irish in that game than Styles himself.

Marshall’s top receiver entering Notre Dame Stadium is Talik Keaton, who showed some consistency in his first game if nothing spectacular. Like Styles though, he has yet to score a touchdown. While it would be nice to see Styles get on the board there in this game, Keaton has to be the most likely candidate to score whatever touchdowns the Herd can get. The Irish’s defense won’t make that easy.
