Camping World Bowl: What Players Get in their Swag-Bags

I’m not so sure about the backpack but when I was college age I don’t think there was a better store to be able to get a gift card for than Best Buy.

Video games, CD’s, DVD’s – I wonder if college kids these days even know what a CD or DVD is?

College football players aren’t paid for the work they do on the field but if they qualify for a bowl game one of the fun silly things they do get is their swag-bag from the bowl game sponsors.

Although not the most-creative of gifts, Notre Dame and Iowa State players aren’t likely to be too upset with what they’ll leave Orlando with.

Each player will be given a $400 gift card to Best Buy, a watch and a Herschel backpack with a luggage bag.

The only bowl game I’ve ever traveled to cover was last year’s Cotton Bowl and I couldn’t believe the amount of swag they gave even a radio-talker from Chicago.  Fancy wireless earbuds and a great piece of luggage decked out in Cotton Bowl and College Football Playoff logos was pretty solid.

Regardless, pretty sweet bag of goods for the players to go back home to the Midwest with after Saturday’s Camping World Bowl.

Disclaimer – I had to ask my wife what a Herschel backpack was.
