WATCH: Las Vegas Sphere displays Bucs Super Bowl rings

The Sphere in Las Vegas cycled through 57 Super Bowl rings ahead of the big game Sunday, so residents and fans got a good look at both of Tampa Bay’s rings.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl rings, have always looked good, but they’d never quite looked like this.

Super Bowl LVIII is being held in the Fabulous Las Vegas, of course, and that means that the new Sphere is working overtime to add to the presentation. One of the things it showed during the lead-up to the Super Bowl was showcasing all 57 Super Bowl rings before the 58th iteration of the game, and of course, the Bucs appeared twice.

The Sphere showed both Tampa Bay’s XXXVIII and LV rings, and both of them look glorious projected onto the big screen of the Sphere. Check out the video of the rings displayed above.

Broncos’ Super Bowl ring displayed on Sphere in Las Vegas

The Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 ring was displayed on the ‘Sphere’ in Las Vegas, 15 minutes from the Raiders’ stadium.

As the city of Las Vegas gets ready to host the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers at the Las Vegas Raiders’ stadium in Super Bowl LVIII, football fans were reminded of the Denver Broncos’ win in Super Bowl 50.

The “Sphere,” which is 15 minutes from the Raiders’ stadium, displayed the Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 ring on Tuesday evening. Vic Lombardi of AltitudeTV caught the moment on video and shared it on his Twitter/X page:

While it’s humorous to see Denver’s latest Super Bowl ring displayed in a rival’s city, it wasn’t a prank orchestrated by the Broncos.

The NFL struck a deal with the Sphere for Super Bowl week and the league has been displaying rings from various past title winners. Even with that being the case, it’s still funny to see Denver’s ring getting shown off in Las Vegas.

The Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50 following the 2015 season. The Raiders last won a title in 1984.

Here are all the unique details of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVII ring

The #Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVII ring, designed by Jostens, is filled with unique details:

The Kansas City Chiefs have officially unveiled their Super Bowl LVII championship rings.

Jostens designed the ring and they have designed over 35 Super Bowl rings, more than any other company. This specific ring is wholly unique and features numerous details paying homage to the team’s history and their most recent championship-winning season.

“Jostens is proud to once again be trusted by the Kansas City Chiefs to celebrate another historic milestone for their franchise, it is an honor to continue to grow the partnership between our organizations,” said Chris Poitras SVP & GM of Jostens Professional Sports Division, via press release. “The Chiefs Super Bowl LVII Ring features thoughtful details and incredible craftsmanship. This ring captures their unique championship story and commemorates the team’s third Super Bowl victory.”

Below you’ll find a look at each unique feature of the Super Bowl LVII ring, with detailed information from the Jostens press release:

Melvin Gordon will get a Super Bowl ring from Chiefs

The Chiefs gave practice squad players Super Bowl rings when they won in 2019, so Melvin Gordon is expected to get one this year.

Melvin Gordon had quite a season in 2022.

After going unsigned as a free agent through March and most of April, Gordon re-signed with the Denver Broncos on a one-year, bargain contract just before the NFL draft.

Gordon began the season as a rotational backup behind Javonte Williams and he fumbled four times in the team’s first four games. Despite those fumbles, Gordon started the next six games following Williams’ season-ending injury.

Gordon fumbled a fifth time in Week 10, and that proved to be his final game with the Broncos. Denver cut him the next day, and Gordon ended up signing with the Kansas City Chiefs as a practice squad player.

Gordon did not appear in any regular season or postseason games with the Chiefs this season, but after KC defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 on Sunday, Gordon is now in line to get a Super Bowl ring.

Gordon posted a photo with the trophy on Twitter on Sunday night.

The Chiefs gave rings to practice squad players when they won Super Bowl LIV in 2019, so it seems safe to assume they will do the same for Super Bowl LVII this year.

Gordon is now scheduled to become a free agent in March. His final stats with KC: 0 appearances, 0 rushing yards and 1 Super Bowl ring.

The Kanas City Chiefs hosted their Super Bowl LIV championship ring ceremony tonight at Arrowhead Stadium. During the ceremony, each player was individually introduced by Mitch Holthus, while messages from their family members were played. They received a box containing their personalized Super Bowl ring from Clark Hunt. After everyone received their box, Hunt gave a speech and explained the significance of each individual detail of the ring before the team opened their ring boxes simultaneously.

It was a special moment for the players, coaches and staff to receive the rings that they worked so hard to achieve. Many of them took to social media shortly after the unboxing to share photos, videos and words to describe what it was like to finally get the ring. Here’s a look at some of the reactions:

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, DB Tyrann Mathieu, DE Frank Clark, and DB Armani Watts all relished the moment, but they’ve already turned their attention to earning the next Super Bowl victory. It all starts in Arrowhead Stadium next week when the Chiefs open the season against the Texans on Sept. 10.

Here is some more info on the ring and its features:

It’s a pretty great design and definitely has some throwback elements to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl IV ring. The yellow gold and ruby background surrounding the Arrowhead symbol and the two Lombardi Trophies in the background is certainly a nice touch.

Which No. 1 overall picks have earned Super Bowl rings?

Troy Aikman, Eli and Peyton Manning, and Terry Bradshaw are No. 1 overall picks who played on Super Bowl winners.

NFL teams hope they will find a diamond with the top pick in the draft, especially given the losing it usually takes to be in a position to make that selection. However, it is no guarantee of a Super Bowl championship. These are the top picks who managed to wrangle a ring since the common draft began. Jim Grabowski (Dolphins, 1966) and Buck Buchanan (Chiefs, 1963) were No. 1 overall picks by AFL teams who won rings. Paul Hornung (Packers, 1957) was a No. 1 pick out of Notre Dame by Green Bay, and was on the first Super Bowl title team.
