Locations for next three Super Bowls officially revealed

We now know the host locations for each of the next three Super Bowls.

The Kansas City Chiefs have been to three of the past four Super Bowls, winning the NFL’s most iconic game twice in that span.

The league already had announced the host cities and stadiums for the next two Super Bowls, but they extended that to a third on Monday. It’s very possible that the Chiefs could be visiting one, two, or all of these cities should things go their way in each of the next three seasons.

Here’s a quick look at the locations and dates for Super Bowl LVIII, Super Bowl LIX and Super Bowl LX:

NFL sets locations for ’25 draft, Super Bowl LX

Super Bowl LX will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Ca

A busy planning day on Monday for the NFL.

The owners were having their spring meetings and they made some decisions about the future.

The 2025 NFL draft will take place in Green Bay, Wi. That will follow the next selection process, which will call Detroit home.

“The Bay Area was an incredible host for Super Bowl 50, and we are thrilled to bring the Super Bowl back,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. “We look forward to working with the 49ers and the Bay Area Host Committee to create an impactful Super Bowl LX in 2026 that showcases all the great things the region has to offer.”

Super Bowl LX — to take place in 2026 — will be played at the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium.

“The Bay Area was an incredible host for Super Bowl 50, and we are thrilled to bring the Super Bowl back,” Goodell said in a statement. “We look forward to working with the 49ers and the Bay Area Host Committee to create an impactful Super Bowl LX in 2026 that showcases all the great things the region has to offer.”

One other important item is there will be flex scheduling when it comes to Thursday Night Football.

Per NFL.com:

Thursday games can only be flexed between Weeks 13 and 17, with a four-week notice required. Only two Thursday night games can be flexed per year, and the resolution notes that the flexible scheduling for TNF is on “a trial basis.”

The NFL owners are currently at the Spring League Meetings and on Monday they approved the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium as the host site of Super Bowl LX in 2026.

Located in Santa Clara, California, Levi’s Stadium will host its second Super Bowl since opening in 2014.

“The Bay Area was an incredible host for Super Bowl 50, and we are thrilled to bring the Super Bowl back,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement on Monday. “We look forward to working with the 49ers and the Bay Area Host Committee to create an impactful Super Bowl LX in 2026 that showcases all the great things the region has to offer.”

In a Super Bowl 50 matchup, Peyton Manning and the Broncos defeated Cam Newton’s Carolina Panthers, 34-10.

The Lombardi Trophy is headed back to the Bay Area. No, it won’t be because the San Francisco 49ers have brought it, at least not as of this story. Instead, it will be because their home turf, Levi Stadium, will be the host site of Super Bowl LX.

Super Sunday 2026 will mark the second time in ten years the big dance will be held in Santa Clara. Levi Stadium was the host of Super Bowl 50 between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.

Super Bowl 50 was billed as a defensive showdown between Denver and Carolina, and it did not disappoint. The Broncos’ defense suffocated league MVP Cam Newton and the otherwise explosive Panthers offense, holding them to 10 measly points. Peyton Manning in his final game did just enough to take advantage of the quality performance from his defense to secure one last ring before his retirement.

Hosting the Super Bowl has previously been somewhat of a curse. For the first 54 Super Bowls, the host team did not qualify for the game. Of course, this changed in back-to-back years when the Buccaneers and Rams won home Super Bowls in LV and LVI.

The 49ers would love to become the third team to accomplish such a feat, but the Seattle Seahawks would love nothing more than to be the team who prevents this from happening.
