After a 10-6 regular season and earning the No. 6 seed in the NFC, the Rams knocked off the Seahawks in the wild-card round and earned a trip to Lambeau Field for a second-round matchup with the Packers. It wasn’t necessarily a deep playoff run, but the Rams did make it further than most people expected after the offseason they endured.
There wasn’t much optimism surrounding the Rams before the 2020 season, with oddsmakers giving them long odds to win the Super Bowl. They had the 20th-best odds in the NFL before the season began, but looking ahead, their chances are much better next season.
According to BetMGM, the Rams are +2000 to win Super Bowl LVI next year, which is ninth-best in the NFL. These are the only eight teams with better Super Bowl odds than the Rams in 2021.
- Chiefs +600
- Packers +900
- Ravens +1200
- Bills +1200
- Buccaneers +1200
- 49ers +1400
- Saints +1800
- Seahawks +1800
It’s hard to ignore the fact that there are two NFC West teams ahead of the Rams in next year’s Super Bowl odds. The Seahawks are perennial contenders, but the 49ers don’t even know who their quarterback will be next season and Robert Saleh just left to become head coach of the Jets.
The Cardinals are further down the list at +4000, while Brandon Staley’s Chargers are +3000. Right behind the Rams are the Cowboys, Browns, Dolphins and Colts at +2500.
The Rams’ odds of +2000 mean that a $100 wager right now on the Rams to win the Super Bowl next year returns a profit of $2,000. This time last year, the Rams had the 10th-best odds to win Super Bowl LV at the same line of +2000 – but those odds continued to sink as the offseason wore on due to the departures of Todd Gurley, Brandin Cooks, Cory Littleton and Dante Fowler Jr.
