The world is amazed by the rare sight of a solar eclipse that occurred Monday afternoon. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was one of the millions witnessing history as his family moment was recorded.

The NFL’s official X account reposted the video of Mahomes and his daughter, Sterling Skye, watching the eclipse. His wife, Brittany, shot the video, capturing the wholesome moment along with the QB’s surprised reaction. The reigning Super Bowl MVP and his daughter were wearing protective eyewear during the process.

“Dang” was all that Mahomes could say to describe the historic moment. Many in the media labeled Monday’s event the Great North American Eclipse. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, concealing the Sun’s image for anyone watching on Earth.

The continental US isn’t expected to see another total solar eclipse until 2044 and 2045. There is a low chance that Mahomes will still be playing around the time of the next one, but Chiefs fans hope there could be more Super Bowl titles before then.

The spring season is in full swing as the weather begins to warm up and flowers take bloom in many parts of the country. The start of baseball is this week and the timeless golf tradition of The Master’s Tournament begins in Augusta, Georgia.

The 88th annual tournament, which draws the best golfers around the country, teed off on Thursday morning. The buzz is a little louder this year with the return of golf legend Tiger Woods after two years of inactivity due to injuries sustained from a car accident. Woods is the active leader in major championship wins and will be watched closely to see if he’s fully recovered physically.

The tournament will also have a brand new fan this year, with Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes’ daughter Sterling joining in on the fun. The former NFL MVP posted photos on Twitter Thursday of him with Sterling wearing the signature Masters green colors with the caption:

“We Ready! #themasters”

The adorable photo of the father and daughter duo quickly lit up social media with hundreds of comments and retweets. Mahomes is a well-noted golf fan with his participation in multiple offseason tournaments, like the American Century Championship.

The introduction of Sterling to the game could be the start of her athletic journey. Maybe Chiefs Kingdom and the rest of the sports world could be witnessing the genesis of the next great golf star.

QB Patrick Mahomes seemed unphased by the circumstances surrounding the NFL’s Thanksgiving schedule and its implications for the AFC standings, posing for pictures with his fiancée and daughter that was posted to social media in celebration of Thursday’s holiday.

Family and football go together like mashed potatoes and gravy, especially on such a special day as Thanksgiving. Speculation remains as to what the spread looked like at the family’s gathering, but with Patrick Mahomes in the mix, it is a fair assumption that ketchup was involved in one way or another.

The Chiefs’ next matchup will be against the Denver Broncos on December 5th, just three weeks from Christmas, which is sure to be a special time for the first-time dad. Fans are certainly hoping that Kansas City can secure another Super Bowl berth this season. Ideally, the time off this past week will ensure the team is well rested for their final push for the postseason.

In the end, the athletic pursuits of the 500-million-dollar quarterback pale in comparison to the new duties he faces off the field as a dad, especially as the holiday season gets into full swing. The Kansas City Chiefs broke training camp practice for the last time on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes had some special visitors for his last training camp practice before the preseason. After practice, Mahomes posted a photo on his Instagram account with his guests. The picture showed him with fiancee Brittany Matthews and five-month-old daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes. The caption of the photo read: “Sterling’s First Camp!”

Mahomes’ daughter, Sterling, is pictured with an adorable red bow and matching shoes, giving the biggest smile along with her mom and dad. Check it out down below:

It’s pretty commonplace for family members to be out at training camp to show support for their loved ones. In the era of COVID-19, a lot of families have been staying away for the majority of camp, but it’s good to see that the Mahomes clan got out there to show Patrick some support.

With a big smile like that, it’s pretty clear that Sterling’s first training camp was a massive success. She got a chance to see her dad out on the practice field, even though she’s not quite old enough to grasp what’s going on.

Before you know it, Chiefs Kingdom will be celebrating Sterling’s first Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium. That’s sure to be a big moment for the Mahomes family.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes has made the 99 Club in “Madden NFL 22″ for the third consecutive season, but the way he found out about it this year tops all other seasons.

Brittany Matthews, Mahomes’ fiancee, dressed their baby daughter Sterling Skye in a onesie to surprise Patrick with his 99 overall rating announcement. The onesie had a special message for the star quarterback, who read it aloud:

“Dad is in the 99 Club again,” Mahomes said. “Nice, that’s the best surprise ever.”

This probably won’t resonate with most of the fans of the video game franchise, but talk about an adorable moment for the Mahomes family.

Mahomes is not only the top-ranked quarterback in the game with a 99 overall rating, but he’s also on the cover of the game with the quarterback who most recently defeated him in Super Bowl LV. We haven’t yet learned where the rest of the quarterbacks rank, but we know that Tom Brady isn’t a 99 overall this time around.

Mahomes is the second Chiefs player to be named to the 99 Club this season, joining TE Travis Kelce, who was named to the 99 Club earlier this week. Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams and Los Angeles Rams DT Aaron Donald and CB Jalen Ramsey are the only other players to be named to the 99 Club to start the 2021 NFL season.

Sterling Skye Mahomes went to her first baseball game on Thursday.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes wasn’t the only member of the Mahomes household taking in the Kansas City Royals’ opening day win over the Texas Rangers.

New mom Brittany Matthews was also there, along with the couples’ infant daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes. It was Sterling’s first baseball game with mom and dad, with many more to come in the future. Matthews took to her Instagram page to share two heartwarming pictures of her family. These were actually the first family photos that the couple has publicly shared that include their month-old baby girl.

Baseball is a very important sport in the Mahomes household. Patrick bought into the Royals’ ownership group back in July of 2020. Pat Mahomes Sr. played 11 seasons in the MLB for a number of teams including the Minnesota Twins, New York Mets and Texas Rangers.

The Royals didn’t disappoint on opening day, notching a 14-10 win over the Rangers, giving Kansas City their first win of the season and an early lead in the American League Central standings. Some people even went so far as to suggest on social media that Mahomes and his family were the good luck charm on opening day.
