Report: Signs point toward Bills training camp returning to St. John Fisher

Report: Signs point toward #Bills training camp returning to St. John Fisher:

There is good news for those in the Rochester area.

According to 13WHAM-TV, the Buffalo Bills are likely to return to St. John Fisher University in Pittsburgh for their upcoming 2024 training camp this summer:

As has been the case in recent years, it could be a one-year commitment from the team to return to the school’s campus for training camp. The Bills have straddled the line on what their long-term desires are in this area.

Since Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane have taken over their respective positions in Buffalo’s front office, the club has cut back appearances out in Rochester during the summer. They’ve appeared to prefer having it held in Orchard Park, but never outwardly say that.

Most years, Buffalo will take at least a workout or two back to their home at Highmark Stadium in recent years.

The team itself has not yet confirmed it will return to St. John Fisher. If and when they do, Bills Wire will provide that information when it is made available.

Bills’ 90-man roster at the start of 2023 training camp

Every player on the #Bills roster as training camp begins:

The Buffalo Bills have finally entered training camp.

On Wednesday, the ream made their first step toward the 2023 regular season with the start of training camp at St. John Fisher University.

As all the players took their spots on the field for the first time this season, here’s each and every one of those names on the team’s roster, sorted by jersey number:

Bills’ Stefon Diggs is cheered during training camp entrance

#BillsMafia welcomed Stef back:

All was well for Buffalo Bills fans when Stefon Diggs took the field at St. John Fisher College.

The Bills began their 2023 training camp on Wednesday. As always, players were cheered by fans as they took the field.

Diggs was among them.

After a whacky offseason which saw Diggs at odds with the team and him skipping out on the first day of minicamp, all was forgiven by the fan base. Bills Mafia clapped for Diggs as he took the field.

After practice, Diggs spoke at a press conference and said that everything is fine on his end. He noted it was worked out regarding him skipping spring workouts.

That had been noted before by others, but it was the first time Diggs himself commented on what went down.

Check out the Diggs approval from fans below:

WATCH: Bills fans give Damar Hamlin warm welcome at training camp

A lot of love for Damar again from #BillsMafia:

Bills Mafia has supported Damar Hamlin all along. That continued on the first day of training camp.

As the tradition goes, fans will cheer players as they take the field at St. John Fisher University for practice… each day, every year. Usually the loudest yells are for the quarterback or star players.

This time, it was for Hamlin.

As he took the field, it was a bit emotional for onlookers as Bills Mafia sent encouraging and loud messages his way as he was back at his first training camp practice since his recovery from cardiac arrest. Hamlin has been a full participant at workouts since the spring and it was confirmed he still will be.

Check out the cheers from Bills Mafia for Damar in the clips below:

Buffalo Bills players now know exactly when their summer vacation will be over.

The NFL released a memo which revealed the dates players will have to report to training camp for their respective team.

The dates vary by teams, depending on their first game of the 2023 regular season. In 2022, the Bills started earlier because they were featured in the NFL’s first game of the entire season on Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams.

This upcoming summer, rookies will head to St. John Fisher University a bit early, which is usually the case. They report on July 18.

Veterans have a little more time off. They will head to the Rochester area on July 25.

The following day on July 26 is the team’s first open practice at St. John Fisher University.
