Daniel Suarez, Wendy’s join SS-Greenlight Racing for Xfinity Series race at Daytona

Daniel Suarez and Wendy’s will join SS-Greenlight Racing for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway.

[autotag]Daniel Suarez'[/autotag]s plans for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway have been revealed. On Thursday afternoon, Suarez and Wendy’s revealed that they will compete with [autotag]SS-Greenlight Racing[/autotag] in the Xfinity Series race at Daytona. Suarez will drive the No. 14 Xfinity car as SS-Greenlight Racing partners with Kaulig Racing.

According to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass, it is primarily a Kaulig Racing effort with a deal to field the NASCAR Cup Series driver through SS-Greenlight Racing. In 2024, SS-Greenlight Racing will run the No. 14 car full-time, switching from its longtime No. 08 car. It is unknown who else will drive the No. 14 car during the 2024 NASCAR season.

The No. 14 Wendy’s Chevrolet is very sharp with a blue base, including red, and a logo on the hood. Suarez will have owner points to lean back on in case of weather that cancels qualifying. Overall, this unique partnership will see Suarez compete at a high level in the Xfinity Series race at Daytona. It only adds to an already stacked field for the 2024 season.

Patrick Emerling to run partial schedule with SS-Greenlight Racing in 2024

SS-Greenlight Racing announced on Thursday evening that Patrick Emerling will be the primary driver of the No. 07 Xfinity car in 2024.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is starting to round out its driver lineups for the 2024 season, with the first race weekend at Daytona International Speedway coming quickly. [autotag]SS-Greenlight Racing[/autotag] is one of those organizations as they look to find the best pathway to becoming successful in the sport. On Thursday evening, one big domino fell for the team’s plans.

SS-Greenlight Racing announced that [autotag]Patrick Emerling[/autotag] will be the majority driver of the No. 07 Xfinity car in 2024. Emerling has spent time with Joey Gase at Emerling-Gase Motorsports; however, he is no longer a part of the race team following this announcement. Emerling has co-owned the entries with Gase since 2022.

SS-Greenlight Racing earned its first Xfinity Series victory with Cole Custer at Auto Club Speedway in 2022 and hasn’t achieved much success since that point. The organization is looking to grow, and it will help to have a driver who runs a majority of the races to develop consistency. With the 2024 season nearing, it’ll be interesting to see who else SS-Greenlight racing signs.

SS-Greenlight Racing’s 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season in review

SS-Greenlight Racing had a down year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Here, you can check out the NASCAR team’s 2023 season in review!

[autotag]SS-Greenlight Racing[/autotag] entered the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season looking for its second victory after Cole Custer won in the No. 07 car at Auto Club Speedway in 2022. Unfortunately, it didn’t come close for the organization, as it only compiled three top-10 finishes. Gray Gaulding had two of those three top-10 finishes and only competed in 11 events.

Several other drivers, such as Aric Almirola, Daniel Suarez, and Carson Hocevar, drove the entry but could not have enough speed or luck for a consistent top-10 finish. Needless to say, it wasn’t a great year for SS-Greenlight Racing, and it is unclear where they will go now. Both entries had full-time entries to start 2023 but it didn’t last.

For 2024, there are no official announcements regarding SS-Greenlight Racing. Blaine Perkins, who started 2023 with the team, will join RSS Racing in 2024, so that door is closed. It will be interesting to see what SS-Greenlight Racing does next. Will they hire full-time drivers or become an “All-Star” team with multiple drivers in each entry?
