Michigan State DT Simeon Barrow enters NCAA transfer portal

Updated: Simeon Barrow has entered the transfer portal.

According to acting head coach Harlon Barnett, Michigan State football defensive tackle Simeon Barrow Jr. is stepping away from the program with an intent to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Barrow, who was a 3-star commit in the 2020 class out of Grovetown, Georiga, has 19 tackles on the season and 1.5 sacks.

Check out Michigan State football’s captains for their week five game against Iowa:

Michigan State has announced who will lead the Spartans into Kinnick Stadium for their game against Iowa. The Spartans will have defensive tackle Simeon Barrow, linebacker Cal Haladay and wide receiver Tre Mosley leading the team as captains for the week five contest with the Hawkeyes.

Mosley and Barrow have been captains every week this year, while this is the first time Haladay will be featured.

Michigan State football names captains for week one contest against Central Michigan

MSU has announced their team captains for the home opener against Central Michigan:

As many fans know, with some liking or disliking it, Mel Tucker does not name captains prior to the season, but electing to go with different captains every week. The weekly captain thing has been consistent throughout his tenure and will be continuing this year. You can view last year’s tracker, HERE.

Alas, the season is almost here and captains for MSU’s week one contest against Central Michigan has been announced:

The Spartans will be led by Jacoby Windmon, Simeon Barrow and Tre Mosley.

Michigan State defensive tackle Simeon Barrow has high expectations heading into the 2023 season. The redshirt junior is heading into his third season as a starter on MSU’s defensive line, having recorded 74 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 7 sacks in his time thus far.

Ahead of the 2023 season, Pro Football Focus has ranked Barrow as the #7 highest graded DT in the Big Ten.
