Report: Brooklyn Nets sign James Ennis and Shaq Harrison

Reinforcements are on the way for the Nets after the team signed two players to 10-day hardship exceptions.

More reinforcements are on the way for the Brooklyn Nets. According to Shams Charania of the Athletic and Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the team will be signing forward James Ennis and guard Shaq Harrison to 10-day hardship exception deals, which will give Brooklyn 11 active players eligible to play.

Ennis, who last played for the Orlando Magic for two seasons from 2019-2020, averaged 8 PPG and 4 RPG. The California native shot it at 46.5% from the field overall and 38% accuracy from downtown. As for Harrison, the Kansas City native, he spent two seasons playing for the Phoenix Suns in 2017 and 2018 where he put up 7 PPG and 2 APG on 48% shooting. Recently, Harrison was playing in the G League for the Delaware Blue Coats.

These signings will cost the Nets more than $1 million in luxury tax.

Sixers to waive guard Shaq Harrison, will join Blue Coats in G League

The Philadelphia 76ers will waive guard Shaq Harrison and he will join the Delaware Blue Coats.

The Philadelphia 76ers wrapped up the preseason on Friday when they fell to the Detroit Pistons and now they turn their attention to the New Orleans Pelicans on opening night on Oct. 20.

Therefore, it is time to put on the finishing touches on the final roster and put together the final 15 plus the two two-way players for the upcoming season.

The Sixers made a morning on Saturday when they waived guard Shaq Harrison who the team brought in on a training camp deal. Harrison was a bit of a long shot to make the roster, but he had a strong finish to the preseason as he had eight points and three steals on Friday.

He will head down to the Delaware Blue Coats which is the G League affiliate of the Sixers.

Harrison has NBA experience and he has NBA-level athleticism and that will keep him on radars around the league.

Report: Sixers to sign guard Shaq Harrison to a training camp deal

The Philadelphia 76ers will sign Shaq Harrison to a training camp deal.

It is media day in the NBA on Monday and that means that training camp begins the next day as teams prepare for the 2021-22 season. It is a breath of fresh air as there is new hope for all 30 teams embarking on the new season.

For the Philadelphia 76ers, they have their own issues to deal with, but now is the time to get some bodies into camp so everybody can scrimmage and practice correctly. The Sixers have been in need of more ball-handlers, so they have brought one in on the eve of camp.

Philadelphia will sign guard Shaq Harrison to a training camp deal. Harrison spent the 2020-21 season with both the Utah Jazz and the Denver Nuggets averaging 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 34 games split between the two teams.

Considering that the Sixers will be missing one of their bigger ball-handlers–see Simmons, Ben–they will be needing some help in that area to begin camp. Harrison offers some help in that regard as he looks to earn a spot on an NBA roster.
