Here is the latest SEC availability report ahead of No. 13 Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma

Texas A&M forward Solomon Washington is questionable to play on Tuesday night

No. 13 Texas A&M (15-5, 4-3 SEC) will host Oklahoma (15-4, 2-3 SEC) on Tuesday night, three days after the Aggies’ heartbreaking loss to Texas after leading the Longhorns by 22 points in the second half, only to allow the largest comeback of the season thus far.

While the loss was undoubtedly a disappointment, especially after shooting over 50% from the fielding and matching a season-high 12 3-pointers, the Aggies are entirely focused on facing a Sooner team that finished 2-0 in SEC play and have improved defensively.

Since the return of star point guard Wade Taylor IV, Texas A&M has not dealt with any injury issues. However, after starting forward Solomon Washington tweaked his ankle in the second half against the Longhorns, Monday’s SEC availability report revealed that the junior’s injury is more than minor.

Texas A&M coach Buzz Williams doesn’t place much stock in availability reports, but Washington is listed as questionable, and Oklahoma’s roster is 100% healthy ahead of Tuesday.

Washington returned to the lineup on Saturday after hurting his ankle. While he looked hobbled, this is one of the toughest players in the program, with a history of playing through physical adversity.

Texas A&M will return to Reed Arena to host Oklahoma on Jan. 28 at 8:00 p.m. CST. The game can be watched on the SEC Network.

Here the latest SEC Availability report ahead of No. 13 Texas A&M vs. No. 16 Ole Miss

Texas A&M’s latest SEC Availablity report is good news for the Aggies before taking on Ole Miss

No. 13 Texas A&M (14-4, 3-2 SEC) is back on the road in conference play this week, as the Aggies will take on No. 16 Ole Miss in another Quad 1 opportunity, while the return of star guard Wade Taylor IV gives A&M a fighting chance to steal one.

Last Saturday night, Texas A&M defeated LSU 68-57 behind an impressive second-half performance during Wade Taylor’s first game back in the lineup after missing three consecutive matchups, which led to a 1-2 record. Still, despite only scoring 68 points, Taylor’s leadership and facilitating led to a late 10-0 Aggie run, while the defense settled in late.

Getting a three-day break before hitting the road is key to proper recovery and focus. As of Tuesday night, the latest SEC Availability report showed an entirely healthy Texas A&M roster, while Ole Miss forward Jaemyn Brakefield (10 ppg) is probable to play.

For Texas A&M to win, limiting turnovers while preventing fast-break opportunities is key to keeping the Rebels from finding an offensive flow. The Aggies’ stiff defense will need to continue maintaining low scores, as coach Buzz Williams noted this week regarding A&M’s rugged play style:

“I think our style travels. We’ve done pretty well on the road.”

Texas A&M will return to face No. 21 Ole Miss at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion on Jan. 22 at 8:00 p.m. CST. The game can be watched on ESPN2.

SEC Availability Report reveals two injuries in Florida-Texas matchup

Florida is healthy once again ahead of Saturday’s matchup with Texas, but the Longhorns are dealing with a few injuries.

Florida’s fifth game on the SEC schedule against the Texas Longhorns in Gainesville has turned into a must-win after the Gators fell to the Missouri Tigers at the O’Connell Center on Tuesday.

The good news is that Florida will enter the matchup with a clean bill of health, while Texas is down junior guard Chendall Weaver, according to the official SEC Availability Report.

Weaver transferred to Texas last season after spending his first year with UT Arlington and turned into a fan favorite off the bench. An effort player, Weaver delivered key rebounds and sprawled out for any loose ball that came during his 18.4 minutes per game a year ago.

He averaged 6.7 points and 5.1 rebounds over 21.2 minutes through 15 games this season, starting nine of those contests. Weaver has missed the past two games against Tennessee and Oklahoma after hurting his right hip two minutes into his time on the court versus Auburn.

“Well, 77 rebounds went out the door,” Longhorns head coach Rodney Terry said. “He’s always one of those guys you can count on that can give you some really impactful and meaningful rebounds in key times. Who can emerge and do that for us right now?”

Florida allowed Missouri to compete on the boards in its loss Tuesday. Knowing that Texas won’t have a key player in the fight down low could be a positive omen for the Orange and Blue. Weaver was a top rebounding guard in the SEC and Texas is in the bottom quartile of the conference.

Texas forward Arthur Kaluma is listed as probable and Florida remains healthy so far in conference play.

SEC Availability Report

The SEC is mandating injury reports for conference matchups across three major sports in 2024.

“School personnel must submit availability reports three days before each football game, with daily updates and a final report 90 minutes before game time. For basketball and baseball, reports are filed the night before the game, with an update on game day.”

Players can earn one of five designations. In order of declining health, they are: available, probable, questionable, doubtful and out. Available players are not listed on the online report, but every other designation is.

Failure to report a player’s injury accurately or in a timely fashion result in penalties of $25,000-$100,000 for football and $15,000-$25,000 for basketball and baseball.

SEC Availability Report for Florida-Missouri matchup has one player listed

For the fourth-straight SEC game, Florida has a clean bill of health heading into their men’s basketball matchup while Mizzou has one player out.

The O’Connell Center will be rocking on Tuesday night when Florida basketball welcomes the Missouri Tigers to town for the fourth game of the Southeastern Conference schedule.

Ahead of the action, both teams’ respective SEC availability reports were released on Monday night, with the Gators turning in their fourth-straight clean bill of health. However, Mizzou did have one player listed as out for the game.

Center Trent Burns, a 7-foot-5-inch freshman out of Cypress, Texas, has yet to appear in a regular-season game with the Tigers after suffering a preseason foot injury. He did appear in a preseason matchup with the Lincoln Lions — a 90-45 win on Oct. 26.

Texas A&M star guard will miss third consecutive game vs. Kentucky on Tuesday

Wade Taylor IV will miss Tuesday’s road test vs. Kentucky

No. 11 Texas A&M (13-3, 2-1) will take on No. 8 Kentucky (13-3) on the road for a Tuesday night SEC showdown just three days after the Aggies fell to Alabama 94-88 due to poor perimeter defense, and going 28-48 from the free throw line.

The Aggies have missed their star point guard Wade Taylor IV for the past week. Without the senior player, Texas A&M ended Week 10 with a 1-1 record, beginning with a hard-fought 80-78 victory against Oklahoma, followed by a loss to the Crimson Tide.

What we learned from the Taylor-less Aggies was clear: This team is tough and very resilient despite slow starts and poor shooting. If the free-throw efficiency improves, defeating Kentucky on the road isn’t a pipe dream. However, according to the latest SEC Availability report, Wade Taylor will reportedly miss his third consecutive game.

Taylor’s injury is unknown, but based on his previous groin injury sustained against Purdue, he may have aggravated said lower-body injury in the win against Texas before returning.

Strategically, Taylor’s absence isn’t ideal against another top-10 team on the road. Still, coach Buzz Williams is being smart before hosting LSU on Saturday night, which could pose as Taylor’s return to the lineup if he makes progress this week.

Kentucky will be without guard Kerr Krissa (4.4 ppg), while Andrew Carr (11.3 ppg) is probable to play.

Texas A&M will return to face No. 6 Kentucky at Rupp Arena on Jan. 14 at 6:00 p.m. CST. The game can be watched on ESPN2.

SEC Availability Report clean for Florida, Arkansas ahead of matchup

Both Florida and Arkansas are injury-free heading into Saturday afternoon’s tangle in Fayetteville.

The college basketball action continues on Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville when the Florida Gators take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in the third game of their Southeastern Conference schedule.

On Friday night, the SEC released the initial availability reports for both teams; neither squad has a player on the list. The Orange and Blue have been clean of injuries for the conference slate so far — a much-needed blessing when it comes to playing in the toughest league in the sport.

Todd Golden’s team is ranked eighth in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and Associated Press Poll coming into this game, with a 13-1 overall record. John Cailpari’s gang is 11-4, with a single vote in the Coaches Poll currently.

Florida at full strength vs Tennessee per SEC Availability Report

All hands will be on deck for Florida’s showdown with the top-ranked team in the nation, the Tennessee Volunteers.

Florida basketball will be at full strength when it hosts the Tennessee Volunteers for the Southeastern Conference schedule home opener inside the O’Connell Center on Tuesday night, according to the SEC availability report.

Starting this season, league members will release preliminary availability reports at 8 p.m. ET the day before the game, disclosing who’s unavailable, limited, questionable, or doubtful for the upcoming contests. An updated release will also be issued 90 minutes before tipoff.

Sophomore forward Cade Phillips is listed as questionable after injuring his shoulder in the second half of his team’s win against the Arkansas Razorbacks at home on Saturday. The 6-foot-9-inch, 216-pound frontcourt player has averaged 6.5 points along with 4.4 rebounds and a block per game this season.

Meanwhile, Vols sophomore forward J.P Estrella is listed as out for the game. The 6-foot-11-inch, 250-pounder will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on his left foot after a strong performance this fall.

Gators hoops issues clean availability report ahead of Kentucky game

Florida has a full, healthy roster ready to play in the epic SEC matchup on Saturday against Kentucky.

The first-ever SEC availability report for Florida basketball was released ahead of its conference opener against the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday. As luck would have it, the Gators have a fully clean bill of health with no members of the team mentioned in the report as of Saturday morning’s update.

The Wildcats have one player listed as unavailable: fifth-year guard Kerr
Kriisa, a recent transfer from West Virginia who is recovering from surgery on his broken foot. The backup was averaging 4.1 points, 3.8 assists and 2.4 rebounds in nine appearances and one start before being sidelined.

Starting this season, league members will release preliminary availability reports at 8 p.m. ET the day before the game, disclosing who’s unavailable, limited, questionable, or doubtful for the upcoming contests. An updated release will also be issued 90 minutes before tipoff.

The SEC availability reports note only players who have played at some point in the season, which explains Florida’s former starting center Micah Handgloten’s absence from the releases.

How to watch

The Gators open up the SEC schedule against Kentucky on Saturday, Jan. 4, inside Rupp Arena. Tipoff is slated for 11 a.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.

Friday’s SEC Availability Report reveals two changes to Texas A&M’s Week 13 injury report

Here is Texas A&M’s Friday SEC Availability report ahead of facing Auburn on Saturday night

5th-ranked Texas A&M (8-2, 5-1 SEC) will head to Alabama this weekend to face Auburn (4-6, 1-5 SEC) in a must-win matchup for the Aggies, who are vying for a spot in the SEC Title game and the College Football Playoff.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that the Aggies will stay at No. 15 in the CFP rankings, still needing to win the last two regular-season games to reach the 12-team field. However, this isn’t a surprise, even though A&M’s two losses are to South Carolina (on the road) and Notre Dame, who are both ranked.

Wanting to establish the run to control the ball against Auburn, this week’s everchanging injury report has focused on the status of starting left guard Chase Bisontis, who has missed the last three games due to a lower-body injury.

While Bisontis is slated to return over the next two weeks, sophomore running back Rueben Owens has been slowly but surely making his way back to the active roster after sustaining a torn ACL just a week before the start of the regular season.

On Friday, the newest SEC Availability Report was released, showing that Bisontis has been upgraded from “doubtful” to “questionable,” giving him a 50% chance to play. Owens, who was listed as doubtful throughout the week,  is officially Out against Auburn.

Texas A&M injury updates:

  • Le’Veon Moss- RB (Out for the season)
  • Mark Nabou – OL (Out for the season)
  • Cyrus Allen – WR (Out for the season)
  • Tyreek Chappell – DB (Out)
  • Rueben Owens – RB (Out)
  • Chase Bisontis – OL (Questionable)
  • Jaylen Henderson – QB (Questionable)

Auburn injury updates:

  • Jamonta Waller — OLB (Out)
  • Tyler Scott — DB (Out)
  • Champ Anthony — DB (Out)
  • Alex McPherson – K (Out)
  • Brandon Frazier – TE (Out)

Chase Bisontis Update:

While Elko didn’t provide an update on Monday, starting left guard Chase Bisontis likely won’t play against Auburn unless something changes this week. However, Friday’s update gives the sophomore a 50% chance to return to the lineup and bolster the Aggie O-line.

Rueben Owens Update:

This was the most surprising news of the week, as the rumblings regarding Rueben Owen’s return to the active roster after his previous season-ending lower leg injury have come to fruition. After being listed as “doubtful” on Wednesday and Thursday, it’s no surprise that Owens is officially out against the Tigers. However, he might be on track to make his season-debut vs. Texas next Saturday night.

Texas A&M will face Auburn on the road on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 6:30 pm. CT. The game will air on ESPN.

Florida IOL Roderick Kearney downgraded to “out” against Ole Miss

The lone Florida Gator listed as questionable on initial SEC Availability Report this week, offensive lineman Roderick Kearney, has been downgraded to out.

Florida downgraded offensive lineman [autotag]Roderick Kearney[/autotag] from questionable to out in its Thursday night update to the SEC Availability Report.

Six Gators are done for the season with season-ending injuries, but the Orange and Blue have played without a good chunk of the starting lineup for most of the season.

Kearney has appeared in six games for Florida, playing a season-high 19 snaps at right guard in a blowout loss against Texas. Florida will also be without offensive tackle Devon Manuel, who hasn’t played since Week 4 against Mississippi State.

The defensive secondary remains the most problematic group for Billy Napier, in terms of depth. Starting cornerbacks Jason Marshall Jr. and Devin Moore remain out — Marshall is done for the season with a torn ACL and Moore hasn’t played since going down in Week 10 against Georgia — and backup Ja’Keem Jackson hasn’t played since Week 2 against Samford.

Starting safety Asa Turner has also missed most of the season after being injured against Miami in Week 1.

Quarterback Graham Mertz and wide receivers Eugene Wilson III and Kahleil Jackson are all done for the year as well. So are running back Treyaun Webb and defensive lineman Jamari Lyons, who broke his ankle in the preseason.

Linebacker Grayson Howard is missing his second game in a row after appearing on the initial availability report last week.

With no more players listed as questionable, Florida shouldn’t have any game-time decisions to worry about on Saturday against Ole Miss.

Players listed as “Out”

DB [autotag]Ja’Keem Jackson[/autotag]

DB [autotag]Jason Marshall Jr[/autotag]. (season-ending injury)

WR [autotag]Eugene Wilson III[/autotag] (season-ending injury)

RB [autotag]Treyaun Webb[/autotag] (season-ending injury)

ILB [autotag]Grayson Howard[/autotag]

QB [autotag]Graham Mertz[/autotag] (season-ending injury)
