The Seattle Mariners (69-66) and Los Angeles Angels (55-80) play the middle contest of a 3-game series Saturday. First pitch from Angel Stadium of Anaheim is set for 9:38 p.m. ET (MLB Network). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Mariners vs. Angels odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.
Season series: Angels lead 6-5
The Mariners picked up a 9-5 win in Friday’s series opener, cashing as heavy favorites (-186) as the Over (8.5) easily connected. Since firing Scott Servais and turning to interim manager Dan Wilson, the M’s are a respectable 5-2 as the Over has cashed at a 4-2-1 clip. The offense is averaging 5.0 runs per game (RPG) since Servais’ dismissal.
The Angels have dropped 8 of the past 9 games, and they’re 3-14 in the previous 17 outings. It’s been all about the Under for the Halos lately, too, going 6-3 across the past 9 outings. The Under has cashed in 5 of the past 6 meetings with the M’s, too.

Mariners at Angels picks and predictions
Prediction
Mariners 5, Angels 3
Moneyline
The MARINERS (-164) aren’t a bad play if you’re a little more of a conservative bettor. Seattle has been playing much better baseball since switching gears and going with the interim skipper Wilson. Seattle looks like a playoff team again, and it hammered the Angels (+138) in the series opener.
Back the M’s behind Woo, who has struggled a bit in August, but he has an overall better body of work, and a much better offensive supporting him.
Run line/Against the spread
Take MARINERS -1.5 (+105) at plus-money if you’re a little more on the adventurous side. While the Angels +1.5 (-126) have been a hot mess, there is risk backing Seattle. Los Angeles has actually won 6 of the 11 meetings this season, so be careful.

Over/Under
The total is not worth playing, as I expect the run total to come down right on the number.
If you were forced to make a pick, the Under would be the play, as it has cashed in 5 of the previous 6 meetings. However, we had a combined 14 runs in Friday’s game for that lone Over in the span.
PASS.
