Former Tennessee basketball player Santiago Vescovi signs with BAXI Manresa.

Former Tennessee basketball guard Santiago Vescovi signed with BAXI Manresa in Spain.

He was not selected in the 2024 NBA draft. Following the draft, Vescovi played for Golden State in the California Classic and the NBA Summer League. He averaged 3.0 points, 2.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds per contest.

Vescovi played for the Vols from 2019-24.

The former Vol averaged 10.3 points per game during his five-year career at Tennessee. He was a two-time first-team All-SEC selection and holds the school record with 212 career steals and 144 starts.

Vescovi is the only player in school history to record 1,500-plus points, 500 rebounds, 400 assists and 200 steals.

He went to Tennessee from Uruguay.

Former Vols’ results in NBA summer league for July 7

Two former Vols competed in the 2024 NBA Summer League on Sunday.

Golden State defeated the Lakers, 92-68, at Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

Dalton Knecht started at guard and played 22 minutes for the Lakers. He totaled 12 points, two rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Knecht converted 3-of-13 field goal attempts, 1-of-3 three-point attempts and 5-of-5 free throw attempts.

He was selected by Los Angeles in the first round of the 2024 NBA draft (No. 17 overall).

Santiago Vescovi recorded six points, three rebounds and one assist in 15 minutes for the Warriors. He converted 3-of-4 field goal attempts.

Vescovi was not drafted and signed with Golden State.

Former Vol Dalton Knecht debuts with the Lakers.

Two former Tennessee men’s basketball players competed in the 2024 NBA California Classic on Saturday.

Sacramento defeated the Lakers, 108-94, at Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

Dalton Knecht started at guard and played 26 minutes for the Lakers. He totaled 12 points, four assists, two rebounds and two steals.

Knecht converted 3-of-12 field goal attempts, 1-of-4 three-point attempts and 5-of-9 free throw attempts.

He was selected by Los Angeles in the first round of the 2024 NBA draft (No. 17 overall).

Golden State also defeated Miami, 105-66.

Santiago Vescovi did not score for the Warriors, but did record three rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Vescovi went undrafted and signed with Golden State.

The Bluejays led, 35-34, at halftime.

Tennessee advances to the Elite Eight for the second time in program history.

Tennessee led by as many as 16 points in the second half before the Bluejays pulled to within three points.

Dalton Knecht totaled 24 points, five rebounds and five assists and was one of three Tennessee players to score 10-plus points in the contest.

Zakai Zeigler recorded 18 points, six assists and four rebounds, while Josiah-Jordan James finished with 17 points, four rebounds and two assists for Tennessee.

Santiago Vescovi did not play for the Vols due to illness..

Jahmai Mashack started for Tennessee and recorded four points, eight rebounds and two assists.

Baylor Scheirman scored a game-high 25 points for the Bluejays.

No. 9  Tennessee (19-6, 9-3 SEC) defeated Vanderbilt (7-18, 2-10 SEC), 88-53, Saturday at Food City Center.

The Vols led, 51-20, at halftime.

Dalton Knecht and Zakai Zeigler scored 14 points each for the Vols. Five Tennessee players scored 10-plus points against the Commodores. The Vols also scored 24 bench points.

Knecht totaled five assists and four rebounds, while Zeigler recorded five assists and two steals.

Josiah-Jordan James recorded 13 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists for Tennessee.

Santiago Vescovi totaled 12 points and five assists for the Vols, while Jonas Aidoo recorded 11 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

Ven-Allen Lubin led the Commodores with 10 points. He also totaled six rebounds.

No. Tennessee (16-5, 6-2 SEC) defeated No. 8 Kentucky (15-6, 5-4 SEC), 103-92, Saturday at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

The Vols led. 46-42 at halftime.

Rick Barnes now has four wins in Lexington as Tennessee’s head coach.

Zakai Zeigler was one of five Tennessee players to score 10-plus points against the Wildcats. He was one of two players to post a double-double in the contest.

Zeigler totaled 26 points and 13 assists. Josiah-Jordan James also scored 26 points for Tennessee. Dalton Knecht recorded 16 points, four rebounds and two assists. Jonas Aidoo and Santiago Vescovi scored 11 points each for the Vols.

Aidoo finished with 11 rebounds and three blocks, while Vescovi posted four rebounds and two assists.

The Wildcats’ Rob Dillingham had 32 points to lead all scorers. Antonio Reeves added 21 points for the Wildcats, who have now lost three consecutive games.

South Carolina (18-3, 6-2 SEC) defeated No. 5 Tennessee (15-5, 5-2 SEC), 63-59, Tuesday at Food City Center.

The Gamecocks led, 30-26, at halftime.

Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht led all scorers with 31 points. He also recorded seven rebounds. Knecht converted 11-of-24 field goal attempts, 3-of-8 three-point attempts and 6-of-10 free throw attempts.

Santiago Veesovi totaled 10 points and two steals for the Vols, who trailed, 7-0, in the contest and never led after halftime.

Jonas Aidoo and Tobe Awaka finished with six points each for Tennessee. Aidoo totaled five rebounds and two blocks despite being in foul trouble throughout much of the contest. Awaka totaled eight rebounds for the Vols.

Ta’lon Cooper led South Carolina with 18 points, while B.J. Mack added 16.

No. 5 Tennessee (15-4, 5-1 SEC) defeated Vanderbilt (5-14, 0-6 SEC), 75-62, Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Commodores led, 35-30, at halftime.

Vols’ guard Santiago Vescovi made his 129th career start, a program record. The previous record was held by both Allan Houston and Chris Lofton.

Vesovi totaled 12 points, five rebounds and two assists against Vanderbilt. He was one of four Tennessee players to score 10-plus points in the contest.

Dalton Knecht led all scorers with 32 points. He converted 13-of-21 field goal attempts and 3-of-7 three-point attempts. Knecht made 3-of-7 free throw attempts.

Zakai Zeigler and Jordan Gainey recorded 10 points each. Zeigler also finished with six assists and four rebounds. Jonas Aidoo totaled nine rebounds and 10 rebounds for the Vols.

Tyrin Lawrence led the Commodores with 21 points. He also posted eight rebounds.

Tennessee defeats Alabama for third consecutive victory.

No. 7 Tennessee (14-4, 4-1 SEC) defeated Alabama (12-6, 4-1 SEC), 91-71, Saturday at Food City Center.

The Vols led, 50-37, at halftime.

It was the third consecutive victory for Tennessee, which forced 22 Crimson Tide turnovers.

Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht totaled a game-high 25 points. Jonas Aidoo recorded 19 points, five rebounds and four blocks for the Vols, who had six turnovers in the contest.

Jordan Gainey scored 15 points, all in the first-half. He also recorded five rebounds and three steals. Santiago Vescovi had 10 points, five assists and two steals for Tennessee.

Zakai Zeigler and Jahmai Mashack finished with eight points each. Zeigler also had six assists and four steals, while Mashack totaled four rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Mark Sears led the Crimson Tide with 22 points.

Tennessee opens SEC play with victory against Ole Miss.

No. 5 Tennessee (11-3, 1-0 SEC) defeated No. 19 Ole Miss (13-1, 0-1 SEC), 90-64, Saturday at Food City Center in the conference opener for both schools.

Saturday’s win is the Vols’ seventh consecutive.

Tennessee led, 40-31, at halftime en route to handing the Rebels their first loss of the season.

Four Tennessee players scored 10-plus points against Ole Miss.

Jonas Aidoo totaled 24 points, 10 rebounds and two assists for Tennessee.

Zakai Zeigler recorded 17 points, 10 assists and five rebounds, while Santiago Vescovi totaled 11 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Vols.

Jahmai Mashack recorded 10 points, four rebounds and four assists for Tennessee.

Jaemyn Brakefield scored 22 points to lead Ole Miss. Jaylen Murray totaled 11 points, eight rebounds and three assists for the Rebels.
