Nick Bosa rips media with NSFW message after Brock Purdy’s magnificent performance against Lions

“He’s the best game manager in the league.”

Nick Bosa has been paying attention to what the media has been saying about Brock Purdy, and he doesn’t like it.

After a gutsy, lights-out performance during the second half of the NFC Championship, Brock Purdy has nearly destroyed every narrative imaginable. The 49ers were down 24-7 at halftime and scored 27 unanswered points. That’s not an easy feat, and it has a lot to do with Purdy, a former “Mr. Irrelevant,” playing like Mr. Super Bowl.

By all accounts, Purdy wasn’t ready to let his team go home empty-handed. So, when Nick Bosa was asked about Purdy’s performance during a postgame interview, he did not hold back and challenged the media to come up with something else to say about his quarterback.

Christian McCaffrey scores in 5th-consecutive game

Christian McCaffrey is pretty good.

The 49ers’ defense can’t get stops against the Raiders, but their offense is keeping them in the game. Christian McCaffrey on his 20th touch of the game raced for 14 yards around the right side for a touchdown that pulled the 49ers within three of the Raiders at 24-21. For McCaffrey he’s up to 102 rushing yards and a touchdown. It’s his fifth-consecutive game with a score.

49ers CB Jason Verrett suffers torn Achilles, out for the season

49ers CB Jason Verrett can’t catch a break. Verrett’s season is done after he tore his Achilles in practice.

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Jason Verrett just can’t catch a break.

Verrett suffered a torn achilles tendon during Wednesday’s practice, sidelining him for the remainder of the season. It’s another blow to San Francisco’s secondary, which already lost cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (ACL) for the year.

Verrett was recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in Week 1 of last season, and he returned to practice a few weeks ago. He started the 2022 season on the PUP list and was poised to make his return Sunday against the Chargers.

Verrett has struggled with injuries during his eight-year career, which now includes two Achilles tears, two ACL tears, a severe ankle injury and a torn labrum, per Ari Meirov.
