The Rams now have three kickers on the roster who could replace Greg Zuerlein. In the seventh round, they selected kicker Sam Sloman out of Miami of Ohio with the 248th overall pick.
This is one of the two seventh-round picks the Rams acquired from the Texans when they traded down from No. 126 overall.
The Rams showed interest in Sloman before the draft, which explains why they wanted to gather these seventh-round picks, using one to select him.
In his career at Miami, Sloman made 49 of his 62 field goal attempts, (79%). On extra point attempts, he was 112-for-115 (97.4%). Last season was his best year, making 86.7% of his field goal attempts, including an impressive 11-for-14 from beyond 40 yards.
